We have had three parents over the past few years reside at Sunrise Senior Living in Silver Spring. Each one was treated with dignity and respect. The medical care and communication was excellent. The staff worked like a family and greeted you as you were their family too. The director Susan sets the caring tone for Sunrise and was so accessible and was attentive to any needs such as room changes or beginning hospice care. They treated our parents like they were theirs. Cannot say enough good from the beginning of the Covid pandemic they were on top of things and they have never let that lapse. I felt like Sunrise SS was the best place we could hope for to care for our loved ones.

I can rest easily with my father at Sunrise of Silver Spring. He has lots of health challenges that we cannot manage at home. It great that there is a team in place including doctors that visit our dad. Everyone is very nice, caring, and respectful.

A loved one was struggling in other facilities and we were looking for something better. Sunrise in Silver Spring promised they could do much better and I was skeptical but without other better options we moved my loved one there a few months back. She is thriving. They promised a lot and delivered a lot. They have earned my highest recommendation. Light years better than where she was. Wow.

Wow. They have a lot more to offer than I expected. It's not just living, but they are offering a full range of activities.

They work hard on the maintenance of this property. The Executive Director is one of the top five in the greater DC area. I have observed many of the staff first hand, and they have been careful and seemed happy with their work. Very low employee turnover at this building.

Its very difficult to transition a loved one to a new lifestyle but the team here made the transition very comfortable. Not only did they provide a warm and loving environment, they advocated for my dads return to Sunrise from a stay in rehab by providing all the care he needed so he could join his wife for the last weeks of his life. I was not aware this was an option and will always be grateful for their proactive care.

So much of this environment was just right. From the live mascots on every floor to the smiling staff (and residents) everything felt homey and comfortable. We loved the staging stations themed on things that would bring fond memories to the guests. Our engagements with staff were informative and painted clear pictures of how life is lived here. One of the more important pieces was that memory care was integrated with activities in the assisted living community. So very critical for our family member who sits on the cusp between the two.

The tour of this community was nice and the community was clean. The staff was able to answer the question on the care that is available. They offer a nice menu and good activities for the residents that can participate. We would suggest that others tour this community for the care of a loved one.
