My parents have lived at Charter House for 10 years, but it seems like safety is no longer a priority here. On March 30th, an intruder entered their apartment. When the police attempted to view security footage, management claimed the cameras were "inaccessible due to construction/flooding." A few days later, they said they need a subpoena to allow us to view the footage. Now, they are refusing to even confirm that the footage is being preserved, despite multiple written requests and a formal complaint filed with the DHCA. If you value your safety and want a management team that cooperates with law enforcement after a crime, look elsewhere. They are more interested in protecting themselves from liability than protecting their residents. I didn’t realize I’d be forced to fight this hard just to get them to preserve evidence of someone breaking into my parents' home.

Moved in 5 years ago. Immediate rodent and roach issues. The ceilings are now caving in. 5 new management companies in just 4 years. Maintenance has improved. Neighbors are really nice. I'm going to miss them. Lots of programs for residents. Food delivery and group gatherings. Lots of parties on Mezzanine level. Elevators are frequently out of use. And the immediate area is very sketchy. It's a good place if your looking for cheap rent, but you get what you pay for.

I arrived early. I was greeted with gentle kindness. All my concerns were responded to with sincerity. I felt welcomed. And I loved the apartment I was shown.

I came to these apartments to look for a place for my grandmother, and let me just say I loved it. It was the perfect place for her. The staff were so professional ,very warm, and welcoming. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a nice place for your grandparents, somewhere you know they will be well taken care of. This is definitely the place you wanna look. I would also recommend to ask for Sheena who we toured with she was so sweet and was accommodating while showing us units that worked for my grandmother.

i came here to look for an apartment for my grandma and had a tour with yasmin even though i didn’t have an appointment and she was very helpful and the office staff was nice as well, i will definitely have this place as a #1 option!

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Yasmin Molina at the Silver Spring MD property. She made sure to show me not just the units but also the wonderful amenities available at theproperty. She offered me a first month discount. The tour was thorough. She was very welcoming and her enthusism was infectious. I'm looking forward to moving in!

We moved here 2 months ago to be with our kids it's been a very pleasant move !! Management is great there are activities for residents since it is a senior residence they have someone here to aid residents in getting assistance food stamps rent assistance medicaid etc there is a rooftop solarium and sun deck our maintenance requests are taken care of quickly there is a parking garage which is great because it's hard to find street parking we do have a Lil mouse but he's so cute we don't have the heart to kill i

The new supervisor of the service team, Sal and the staff, Patrick came to determine what could be done to satisfy my needs in the various maintenance requests early in the morning one day. Sal determined quickly what could be done and guided the Patrick to perform right there, and then completed what’s left few days later. Sal was eager to satisfy my needs and Patrick delivered in action. I was impressed with their professionalism and great workmanship! It’s comforting to know they are dependable.

I was very impressed with Brent, who was my contact. He was not bothersome but did check up on me every couple of weeks in my search for a place to care for my 89-year mother with dementia. I ultimately ended up going with another facility, due to geographic location only and would highly recommend working with Brent.
