In May 2024 I unexpectedly had an open break of my left ankle. After surgery and 2 weeks in the excellent care of GW University Hospital Orthopedics I started recuperation at home with 4 weeks of zero pressure on the left foot. To find an immediate 24/7h service only a few days before my hospital discharge I contacted Comfort Home Care in Washington DC. Their management team with the leadership of President Shaun Underkoffler immediately became active. They put two teams of caregivers for two 12hour shifts per day together. They started the day of my hospital release. Each of the caregivers were well trained and professional. They took care of wound care, personal care, preparing food and were 100% attentive. After 4 weeks of 24/7 service the caregiver attendance was reduced to 4h per day for 2 weeks. Comfort Home Care is a very well organized, very well managed and effective top professional group for home care. They are highly recommendable!

After being discharged from the hospital with broken pelvis Saba was there to greet and help me. From that day on my life improved with a lot a wrk and attention from the Comfort Home Care personnel. From the moment meeting Brandi, to speaking with Shaun, to having Natoya helping with my sister, Comfort Home is/was great. Natoya was able to take care of my sister and provide a number of suggestions for changes/improvements to her care. She was always respectful and yet firm when my sister would balk at doing exercises - Natoya usually won. When accompanying us on going to a doctor's appt for my sister, Natoya was often called upon to get my sister in/out of her chair or help with placing her for an x-ray, CAT, etc., and she always made certain that my sister was comfortable and properly positioned. I highly recommend Comfort Home Care.

I had in home help from Comfort Home care. My assistant was very friendly she listened to what I needed done and forfilled every task. She assistant me on my daily walks, cooked breakfast and cleaned up after me. I would use this company again and request the same aid ALINE. I would refer them to my family and friends.

After 4 days in the hospital following major surgery my husband called Comfort Home Care for a Night Nurse to help me out for a few days. Agatha was recommended, and started that night. She was wonderful! She came right on time, started helping out right away, and was there for me with help, encouragement, and was compassionate, and understanding about what I had been through the past 1 1/2 years. Comfort care matched us up with the perfect fit, reliable, competent, and someone who took great care of me, and fit right into our routine. Overall it was a great experience and we’re very happy that he called Comfort Care!

Since 2017 we have used Comfort Home Care for my dear sister, Katharine, who endures Multiple Sclerosis. Katharine is severely disabled. Agartha, Pam and Seve from Comfort Home Care transfer, feed and tend to Katharines daily medical needs. They are personable, kind, patient and able to spend long shifts with our family in tight quarters. We also love working with Shaun, Carolyn, Regina in the Comfort Home Care administration. They are professional and caring and work hard to make sure Katharines care is covered with excellent care. Comfort Home Care makes a difficult situation of having to provide care for a family member easy and sometimes even fun.

We have had Comfort Home Care supporting my dad 24 hours a day. The nursing support we have received is terrific! The people are friendly, knowledgeable, and assist in every way for my dads care and my moms peace of mind. The daily (some times twice daily) communication to my mom from the coordinators (and owner!) regarding nursing assignments and schedules allows opportunities for questions and input about any needs. We receive the same nursing staff over different shifts, so my dad has care from people who know his needs. We highly recommend their services!

Comfort Home Care was able to provide approximately 10-months of aide service before it became necessary to move my parents to Assisted Living as their large split-level home of more than 50-years was becoming a bit much to navigate. Both of my 90+ year old parents were very pleased with the individual who provided assistance during the morning hours. Prepared breakfast, made the bed, did the laundry, neatened up the bathroom, performed light housekeeping, made lunch, and kept my Mom company while my Dad was off doing his own thing usually working on his computer. The staff of Comfort Home Care had no problem scheduling extra hours or changing the regularly scheduled days for the aide service. This is a well run firm that addresses the customers needs first -- all you had to do was ask, should there be an issue or a problem.

I have been with Comfort Home Care for 2 ½ years now. They have helped us so much. I cant imagine our life without them. They were there when my husband was in acute rehab after a severe hemorrhagic stroke resulting in severe aphasia and numerous needs. Ive learned so much in these recent years and theyve been such an important part of our support system. Comfort Home Care helped us transition from acute care to home care to outpatient rehabilitation with ever-changing schedule demands. We like to travel and they work around our schedule like no one you can imagine. Theyre always responsive to our specific needs. Ive looked at other options in the beginning and along the way. Bill and his team are top-notch and always responded quickly to provide us coverage with very capable caregivers. Comfort Home Care found the ideal companion for my mother Muriel Berkowitz who we moved to the Washington area in 2010 to Ring House on the Campus of the Jewish Community Center. Very soon after, she needed help taking her medications. And then her care needs grew heavier until 2015 when she needed someone with her from the time she got up in the morning until after dinner, about 14 hours a day. Five days a week Ida Bass was my mothers companion. The weekends were covered by a different aide. They were made for each other and shared stories and experiences. Ida called my mother after she got home to make sure she was alright. She made her noon time meal and criticized the other aides at Ring House who were often talking with each other in the lobbies instead or taking care of their charges. Comfort Home Care made sure my mothers apartment was a safe environment for her, going through the cupboards to remove all hazardous materials and turning off her stove as she became increasingly unable to prepare her own food. The Director of Nursing came several times to change my mothers bandages when she cut herself or had had a fall. I highly recommend Comfort Home Care for anyone who needs help caring for an elderly family member. They are experienced and their aides are caring. They helped my mother enjoy the last years of her life.

Comfort Home Care (CHC) was there for my Mom and I back in 2010-2011. Mom had an early stage of dementia setting in so she and I knew we needed some at home help. Enter CHC and they were super! I am truly very thankful to have had CHC to help me with my mom. CHC provide me a truly fine care giver who was tremendous with everything we specified we needed from a care giver. Things like doctor visits, medications, errands, companionship, and even helping with moms cats! Again, tremendous folks! Thank you, thank you, thank you CHC!

When I got home from the hospital I realized that I would need help in my home right away..
