Their accommodations are more than sufficient but their "secret sauce" is the people. Kim and Missy's infectious caregivers heart has permeated throughout their community, residents and employees alike, sure to make an indelible one-of-a-kind experience that can only be explained after a visit. A thoughtful and researched plan is not complete without first visiting the Cottages of Perry Hall for any senior community in the greater Baltimore area.

This is the best place for your loved ones! Every time I step into the cottages the residents are happy, the facility is clean, the staff is friendly, and the management is incredible. Kim and Missy really make a difference in the overall management of the charter brand at the Perry hall cottages. While searching for an Assisted Living facility for my Mom to reside, I had the pleasure of meeting Missy, the Marketing Director, at The Cottages of Perry Hall. After just a few minutes, I knew I had found Mom's new home! Missy was so friendly and we became friends immediately. She took me on a tour of the facility, which is decorated for each and every holiday by Christina, the Activities Director. I was also shown several resident's rooms and I was so impressed with everything. Once Mom moved in, I met so many wonderful employees who made me feel safe that Mom was in excellent hands. Missy had left a beautiful basket filled with Word Search books, candy, toiletries and a very soft blanket on Mom's bed the day she moved in. Kim, the Executive Director, thoroughly went over the Resident contract, answering any/all questions we had. The Cottages offers many fun activities for their residents, trips to farms, lunches at local restaurants, weekly Bingo games, along with activities on their beautiful outdoor decks. The DON, Cathy, is such a caring and helpful person. Any questions or concerns I may have had were addressed and resolved. Cassie, the Med Tech Manager, is amazing! I just love her. She is very conscientious with regards to the Med Techs distribution of each and every resident's medications properly. The Aides, who serve the meals, provide assistance to the residents, when needed and keep smiles on everyone's faces are wonderful. After many months of researching assisted living facilities with memory care programs, our family came across The Cottages of Perry Hall. Immediately upon reaching out, Missy their Director of Sales and Kim, their Sr Exec Director made themselves available to host a tour of the facility and discuss our options. During the tour, our family was thoroughly impressed by the leadership team and staff at the facility as well as the level of care we saw being provided to the residents. Our father suffers from dementia and was living alone for several months before we found the team at the Cottages. Cathy, the Health and Wellness Director, was able to assist and expedite medical appointments for dad, to ensure a safe and healthy introduction to the Cottages Community. The staff (Mikel, Jade, Ashley, Nathalie, Cheryl, and Jim…just to name a few) are highly trained and take the time to understand each resident's individual needs and preferences. Overall, The Cottages of Perry Hall offers a clean, well-maintained, and supportive environment for those in need of a memory care facility in Baltimore County.

The staff has been amazing in aiding in helping care for my mom from her daily needs to assisting her to radiation treatments when I wasn't available. They are friendly and feel more like family. From the first phone call to Missy, the Sales & Marketing Director, I had a feeling this was the place for our mom! This was confirmed with the tour given by Missy and Kim Murphy, Sr. Executive Director-the way the knew each and every resident we encountered warmed my heart. The entire staff helped our mom make the transition to assisted living less stressful for us and continues to go above and beyond. The nursing care under Cathy Sayers guidance is above all else-they have kept mom in very good health. And activities with Christina Tussing are fun and engaging. Hands down moving her into the Cottages of Perry Hall is the best decision we've ever made for our mom!

We recently placed mom at The Cottages of Perry Hall memory care unit. What a blessing. The transition was without issues (e.g., her room was prepared, transportation was coordinated, medications were available on day one, etc). Mom has been there since January. I especially liked their business model of placing alzheimers residents who are higher functioning together. The management staff are exceptional. They work so well together. They all have very high work ethics and communicate with each other when any issue arises. They are very responsive to any concerns or questions. Even addressing questions during non work hours! Communication with family is constant and immediate. Mom is happy! At least twice a month, the residents are invited to go on an excursion. Family are always invited. Yesterday, they visited a local park, had lunch, and played horse shoes and corn hole. The activity directors were wonderful and fully prepared to manage the group. We are so happy we found The Cottages of Perry Hall. It was a struggle prior to her arrival. We, the family, were at our witts end. Daily, we were stressed, and the issues were constant. We were concerned for mom, her safety, her well-being, and her mental health. The Cottages has put us at rest. Mom is doing so well. She says the staff treats her well. Finally, we can enjoy mom as our mother. The Cottages is a far cry and stark contrast from mom's last facility (The Lighthouse). It took a lot of effort to get mom to this point. Thank you Cottages of Perry Hall. We highly recommend The Cottages memory care unit. P.S. take a look at their Facebook page. It tells a lot. Mention my name for a discount.

My 95yr young uncle has been at the Cottages for 2 months. He is very happy being there too. Happiest that I have seen him in a very long time. The daily activities, weekly special events, the food, accommodations and the staff are all gear for the betterment of the 'patient' and it shows. As you walk into a Cottage you don't feel as if you are walking into anything but a home. Between the open living space and kitchen, the personal bedroom with a updated bathroom, the cleanliness and the 'homey' touches of decorations, the 'patients' are made to feel that they in a good place to enjoy their Senior years. I want to thank Missy for all the time and patience she gave to helping in having my uncle come there. We were very fortunate to have her to help us .All of the staff are there for the families too. I feel blessed for the patience and knowledge that they have shown me. Having dealt with two different local assistant living facilities for my parents in the past 10 years, I truly wished I knew about the Cottages at that time.The others were fine but not a 'home'

This community took my mother in law for a 30 respite stay in their memory care cottage. She was well taken care of and she did a lot of activities. The staff is amazing and are all very caring, they all genuinely care about each and every one of the residents that live there. The grounds are gorgeous and they have a lot of deer. My mom was a resident at the Cottages for almost a year. I chose The Cottages after reviewing and speaking with several other Assisted Living facilities and was very happy with my choice. They have daily activities , celebrate all of the holidays, and go on field trips. They also keep the family informed and include them in all of the activites.

I recently toured this community with their Sales Director Missy. From the moment I entered the community everyone felt so warm and welcoming. I got to answer all 3 pages of my questions and never felt rushed at all. She was full of information. I got to see residents in real time, we had good conversation and they all seemed happy and well taken care of. The residents really loved Missy and I could immediately see the bond she has with them. It truly is like a big family unit there. The care staff I met was also nothing short of amazing. They were patient and caring with all of the residents. I chose this place for my family member based on everything I saw the day I was there. I got an overwhelming feeling when I was there of just how much my loved one needs to be a part of the Cottages family. Go see the Cottages, ask for Missy you will not be disappointed. After visiting many memory care and assisted living facilities in and around Baltimore and Harford counties The Cottages of Perry Hall immediately stood out as the correct fit for my father with dementia. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and really gets to know each resident and selects activities that bring them joy,. The Executive Director worked with my dad to build the laundry station because woodworking was something my dad was passionate about. I love that the department managers offices are in each cottage meaning more eyes on the residents. The food is homemade and suitable for each residents needs, I.e., finger foods, food served pre-cut. The staff frequently takes the residents on outings and have fun events and gatherings at the Cottages and family members are always invited to join in. The grounds are well kept with multiple walking paths, outdoor seating areas, fenced in outdoor areas for resident safety. The staff repeatedly went above and beyond to care for my dad. Dad was always clean and well dressed by the staff, my questions always answered, you can tell they really care for the residents like family.

At the Cottages where's there very respectful, positive, and brave people, I consider this place a 10, i recommend anyone who's looking to work with elderly people and positive co workers this is the place you would want to be. no ands, ifs, buts about it. I am a new caregiver who just started and the people here makes me feel like i was here for years. They're very helpful very intellectual very positive. My children and I recently attended a Trunk or Treat event at the cottages. The staff was so friendly and the manager (Kim) went out of her way to ensure the residents and community were enjoying the evening. I went around and spoke with several of the residents and they all were very happy, they looked cleaned up and well taken care of. Missy- one of the managers introduced me to several residents and you could tell she had a personal relationship with each one. Leaving that night I felt so overjoyed with love and a community coming together. It was truly a great experience and my kids had a wonderful time.

My Father was well taken care of at the Cottages. The Staff go over and above their jobs, so you feel that they really do care for your loved one. I can't name them all, but the Exec. staff really made my Father's transitions very easy and smooth. I have to say that initially I was apprehensive about my Father's caregivers, but as time went on, I could see that all the little details were well taken care of. My Father just recently had to leave the Cottages, for a Long Term Care Facility, but if we had to do it over again, I would definitely choose this home for him. Thanks Missy, Kim, Cathy, Cassie.... My wife and I went on a visit to the Cottages of Perry Hall on behalf of my Dad . As soon as we entered we felt very at home and all the staff were extremely nice and caring.The tour was very informative and not a sales pitch at all , a few days later I took my Dad for a visit and he just loved the place (country setting in the woods) he cant wait to move in.We will move my Dad in next week , he's really looking forward to the move.

From the moment you walk in you are greeted by care staff that treats the residents as if they are their own loved ones needing a caring hand to start their day, and tucking them in nightly. The gentle hands and watchful eyes are always there to support the residents and their families. Nestled out of the way, they are just a hop, skip, and a jump from local commerce and families around the corner. I had the opportunity to visit the Cottages at Perry Hall and take a tour of the premises. It's a nice quiet location that I never even knew was there until recently. As we entered the Cottages the atmosphere was very welcoming. The areas were clean and smelled nice. I loved how the grounds and cottages were all decorated for the holidays. Some of the residents were enjoying their lunch, while others were doing activities, and overall everyone seemed happy. Many of the staff I encountered were very friendly, and one of their employees in particular name Missy seemed very popular amongst the residents. Missy took us on the tour of the Cottages and as we walked around she would personally greet the residents by name and their faces would light up. You could tell she takes the time to personally get to know them. There were some kids visiting that day as well and I noticed they watched as Missy was talking to some residents. As we began to leave I overheard one of the kids say to the other that they would like to do their community service hours for school at a place like the Cottages and helping those in need. I thought what a wonderful example to set for our youth! I felt an overwhelming sense of pride that day in getting to witness those who work at the Cottages of Perry Hall that care for the elderly with love and compassion they deserve.

Amazing Staff! I was a home care nurse for the cottages for 8+ years and saw first hand the love and compassion the staff shows the residents. Cathy, Wellness director, is the best there is in this industry! She is an amazing patient advocate and really knows her stuff! For all of these reasons, I chose to bring my own mother here because I know she will receive stellar care. The Cottages have been wonderful to my mother ! Moving here there was the best decision even though it was the hardest one moving her from her home. Our family has been extended to and now includes the entire staff of The Cottages and we could not be happier !

From the outset, I knew that the Cottages was really the only place where my mom could possibly make the transition to assisted living. The facility is just lovely (visitors often commented that THEY wanted to move in!) -- it's in a quiet, wooded area, with lots of light in the open dining/kitchen/living area. Mom often enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful deck where she could watch the deer graze and play beyond the trees. The directors not only do everything possible to keep the place running well, but they keep tabs on how each resident is doing, and are both responsive and proactive when it comes to communication with families and addressing individual concerns. Finally, the staff is incredible. So many of the folks who worked with my mother got to know her very well -- they were able to joke with her, get her to talk about herself and distract her when necessary to help her eat, take her meds, or join in an activity -- which was so important not just to her happiness but to the quality of her care. In an industry where it can be hard to attract and retain committed professionals, The Cottages has many caregivers who treated my family like their own. My young son and small dog enjoyed every visit with their Granny and her fellow residents as well. I will always be grateful for the love and care my mom received at The Cottages.

Beautiful cottages in a peaceful setting with lots of trees. Our tour was given by Kim Murphy. She was very welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and didn't mind answering our many questions. The cottages were clean and tidy. Their were no unpleasant smells. Most of the facility has been recently updated. The nautical decor , beautiful gray wood plank like floors and soothing light colored fresh paint left us feeling calm. The staff take the residents out to restaurants, movies and shopping. The rent here includes basic TV in your room ( you provide the tv)and free table phone in your room. Laundry is free. We found the fees here very fair and a little under the market norm. Thanking God we found this place for our mom.

My aunt has been a resident in Memory Care at the Cottages of Perry Hall since the summer of 2020. The staff have cared for her through some difficult but expected cognitive losses due to her dementia. The most difficult loss for my mom has been Sunday phone calls with her sister. The "Klotz Sisters" spoke every Sunday for most of their lives even during the years my aunt was stationed overseas with the US Air Force. My mom lives four hours away and her physical health makes a four hour car ride difficult. My sister and I planned a weekend visit between the Klotz Sisters in July 2022. I asked the staff to make an extra effort to ensure my aunt looked her best and her room was organized. I wanted my mom and her sister to have the best possible visit they could have and the staff exceeded my expectations. My aunt had a fresh haircut, her clothes were coordinated and her room would have passed inspection by the nuns! There were a few sad moments when Mom realized her sister didn't know her. There were more happy moments when they shared memories of their childhood. And there were funny moments when they compared notes on what arthritis had done to their hands. I can't thank the staff enough for the wonderful memories made during this visit. It may be the last time my mom can make the car ride north to Baltimore and I am forever grateful to caregivers working that weekend for the compassion they showed not only to my aunt but to my mom during her visit, and to the other residents who were just as excited to have a visit from my mom as my aunt was. Everyone is family at The Cottages.

I want to share my experience with the Cottages of Perry Hall. My 88 year old mother (in a wheelchair), my sister, and I toured several assisted living facilities on Wednesday, May 25th. When we toured the Cottages we were greeted as if we were family. Every staff member we encountered got down on my mothers level to talk with her. They introduced themselves and seemed to really enjoy talking with my mother and me. They treated my mother as an adult, with humor and love. I am not an emotional person (at all), but this brought tears to my eyes. The interactions we had with the staff were beautiful. Additionally, the feel of the Cottages was comfortable. It felt like we were touring a house where you could put your feet up and relax.
