Great community with warm and friendly staff. The Memory Care Director has a strong grasp on the needs of her residents and is always finding ways to enhance their day. Every time I visit the staff are eager to assist me. I enjoy the candid chats with the seniors passing through. They seem really happy.

My Mom has Nothing negative to say about this Assistant Living place. The staff welcomed my Mom with a Welcome Sign at the Front Door and on her Appointment Door. Very clean and spotless. Every where. All the staff treats the residents as family members and visitors as family members, too. The facility grounds are spotless and beautiful for the residents to sit outside and include others to get involved with others living here. Not to mention the extras, such as, Manicure, Hair Salon, and Message. And if you need physical therapy, that is also located here. The ladies at the front desk knows EVERYTHING. I also had the opportunity to talk to the chef, Jerry, to help make a special birthday in the private room. He went out of his way, like everyone else, to help accommodate whatever I needed. I really appreciate the newsletter every month from Beth and the extras: Orioles Bird visit, Valentine chocolates, and the last one, a cookout for the residents and family members. My Mom loves a grilled hotdog on the grill. Thank You! God Bless you all. I can't speak enough of how much peace of mind the family feels where she lives now. She eats 3 meals a day, gets looked after during the day and gets asked to go on day trips and lunches out. Love Sandy PS: Everyone knows your name. The staff are all extremely nice and helpful. My fellow management team work wonderfully together and help each other whenever needed. Morningside has been a wonderful experience for my family. My grandfather was devastated when he was told about the families plan to move him to an assisted care home. However, once he got there and met the staff and residents, he said that Morning Side is the absolute best place he possible could have imagined for him to live. Always a heartfelt decision to move a loved one into independent living from a family home, so the thought of this transition for my brother was overwhelming on all sides. After scheduling appointments and touring 12 possibilities, we decided on Satyr Hill and I've been thankful for this decision ever since many reasons. The staff is dedicated, caring and compassionate. We all feel he is well cared for, as does he, which has brought a great comfort to our family. Staff is hard-working and makes great effort to get to know and assist all of the residents as well. My brother has been there for just over two months and thank you for making Saytr such a safe and cared for environment!

I'm happy we found Morningside House as my Dad's new home. The caregivers are very upbeat and always on their toes. There is a medical staff that visits on a regular basis and there are physical therapists there also to be of assistance. The meals are ok in my Dad's book and they are nutritious. The dining staff is very friendly. I feel that my Dad is safe at Morningside House and that's peace of mind for us. Everyone shows an interest in my Dad and even in us when we visit.

When choosing a place for my grandmother, it gets overwhelming with the different options that are offered. When touring different buildings, it was easy to make pro's and con's lists. It made my family and I feel hesitant on placing our loved one somewhere we weren't 100% sure about. When we visited Morningside House of Satyr Hill, we instantly felt welcomed by all of the staff and even the residents. It was evident that the staff enjoyed being there as well as made the upmost effort to make sure we knew our grandmother would be taken care of. We have never felt more confident in placing our loved one at Morningside House. We continue to have great interactions with the administration as well as staff. Great place to consider!

When we first started looking for places for my grandparents, we were really worried about finding the right place for them. My wife and I wanted to make sure they were somewhere that felt like the home they had lived in for the past 40 years, and Morningside House was just the right place. The friendly staff really helped assure us that we were making the right decision. It has been almost 4 months now, and my grandparents absolutely love it here! They rave about the staff and all the activities every time we talk to them! We have since moved to Arizona, but it comforts us to know that they are in such good hands at Morningside House!

Staff is very genuine, go out of their way and willing to help. The accommodations are lovely, clean and always being improved upon and well maintained. Activities and outings are fun. Services....hair, nails. Transportation, massage, medical are available and greatly appreciated. While anyone would rather be in their own home, should the situation arise this is not possible temporarily or permanently Morningside House at Satyr Hill is a place I feel very comfortable having my loved one living. My grandfather moved into Morningside two months ago after living with my mom, sister and I for almost 4 years. It was hard to see him go as we know it would be the last time he would likely ever live with us. Finding a place for my mother to stay was so hard. But from the beginning morning side house has felt like family. I travel a lot, but I have peace in mind knowing my mom is safe, comfortable, and happy. She loves the activities, lunch trips, and dollar store runs! She heard my mother crying in her room, asked her what was wrong and Genevieve said Im so sad, I miss my daughter. Pam called me and let us talk on the phone for awhile until my mother was smiling. I see all of these bad reviews but I have not had anything but great experiences since my mom moved in 6 months ago. They have a new director and she has been a blessing during COVID. My brother and I receive daily announcements with pictures, the menu and other updates. Shari in activities has been face timing me weekly with mom so I can see how she is doing. It has been very hard being away from mom the last 2 months but I am so thankful for the care and love they are providing. My friends dad lives in their dementia unit and she has also been happy with the care.

Dad has lived in their memory lane for 2 years now. I am writing this based on how they are handling covid. I havent gotten to see dad in 2 months. My family is so worried but Tracey, Beatrice and Shari have been calling me with dad weekly so I can see him and talk to him. Shari has even been sending pictures of dad to me and my brother so we can see he is doing alright. He was so excited to see the easter bunny and helped hand out candies to his caregivers. According to their daily emails, noone has gotten sick there. That does not surprise me with how clean everything is and how tight a ship they run. Thank you to everyone! Enjoy the donuts from my brother and I. You ladies deserve it!

I disagree with the bad reviews. My dad has had the best experience here since he moved in earlier this year. Even through this tough time of Covid19, the staff has continued to give excellent service. Mike and his housekeeping team keep the place looking and smelling clean. My dad loves food and the dining staff is friendly and gives my dad seconds whenever he asks. My dad was always an introvert growing up, so he loves that Sheri and the activity staff come to his door everyday with activities and party carts and keep me connected through phone calls and video chat.Any questions Ive had have been confidently answered by Beatrice, the new Executive Director. Theyve had no cases of Covid19, so I guess theyve done something right. Ive been able to rest easy since I know my dad is being taken care of. Just thought Id add my two cents.

Morningside House of Satyr Hill has been in business since 7/1999. I have been with the company since 10/2000, that is over 18+ years! Like all businesses, nothing is perfect! If this was such a terrible place to work for I would not be here. We are under a new ED, and she is making changes to make this a better place for the residents and staff. Some people dont like changes but in this case it is for the better. If I was fortunate to still have my parents I would have them come here to live so they could have the proper care that they so deserved. I am not looking to leave employment here for a long time!

I have had the unique opportunity or working at Satyr Hill for a decade, in nursing. This gave me the chance to bond with my residents, their families, to teach staff the fine art of caring. It also gave me the chance to be a part of the positive things that have happened and are happening at our building. The buidling is beautiful, the staff is on board with caring and supporting our residents and its a darn good place to work.

I recently rated Morningside with one star, and I apologize to the staff, residents, and the company. I made that error after swiping to my next rating, not realizing my mistake. Morningside is a facility that is full of energy. The staff greets you warmly at the door, and speaks to the residents on a first name basis, which shows a sense of bonding between them. I rate the facility with four stars, because with my knowledge of some of the staff and residents, and my time visiting there, I think PRN staff is needed. With the extra staff, it will allow flexibility for days off or emergency call outs, with schedules that are already set. It would ensure that the staff isn't so easily burned out with covering other shifts, and that patients don't feel any lack of services or help. Doing so, would also help to continue to make the core values, C.H.A.R.T. , stand out even more than it already is! Along with following the core values, and caring out the lifestyle mission, I love the environment that Morningside gives. They are extremely attentive to the residents, have built trusting relationships with them, and have allowed my family to be apart of it. My two kids have come by to visit, often telling the residents jokes, held conversations about their day in school, and played instruments with them. I appreciate the staff and Morningside for all that they do.
