Hello my Name is Tori Shimonov and I am currently working for this company. From my first impression of the building being my interview I knew this place was where I wanted my career to flourish. The staff are all extremely nice and helpful. My fellow management team work wonderfully together and help each other whenever needed. I must say I have worked in multiple communities in this area and this one by far is my favorite. I enjoy coming to work and look forward to continuing my career here with Morningside.

Home away from home. Morningside House of Satyr Hill is a warm and kind place to have your loved one. Everyone there works together each day to make the residents feel right at home, loved, respected, and truly cared for. The leadership team is stellar and residents and staff feel like family. The facility is kept clean, the food is tasty, and there is always someone around to help when you need it. Morningside is the place to be.

As you can imagine having your 99 year old Mother go through this pandemic has been a nightmare. I need to give a huge shout out to Pam Davis, Med Tech at MORNINGSIDE House. She heard my mother crying in her room, asked her what was wrong and Genevieve said Im so sad, I miss my daughter. Pam called me and let us talk on the phone for awhile until my mother was smiling. THANK YOU, PAM! You have a heart of Gold!

Very friendly and caring staff. My grandmother recently moved in and the whole process was on point from beginning to end. She had a difficult time with the idea of being moved from her home to a retirement community, but now she loves all of the friends she has made and everything to do. Thank you so much for making this process so easy for us.

I see all of these bad reviews but I have not had anything but great experiences since my mom moved in 6 months ago. They have a new director and she has been a blessing during COVID. My brother and I receive daily announcements with pictures, the menu and other updates. Shari in activities has been face timing me weekly with mom so I can see how she is doing. It has been very hard being away from mom the last 2 months but I am so thankful for the care and love they are providing. My friends dad lives in their dementia unit and she has also been happy with the care.

Dad has lived in their memory lane for 2 years now. I am writing this based on how they are handling covid. I havent gotten to see dad in 2 months. My family is so worried but Tracey, Beatrice and Shari have been calling me with dad weekly so I can see him and talk to him. Shari has even been sending pictures of dad to me and my brother so we can see he is doing alright. He was so excited to see the easter bunny and helped hand out candies to his caregivers. According to their daily emails, noone has gotten sick there. That does not surprise me with how clean everything is and how tight a ship they run. Thank you to everyone! Enjoy the donuts from my brother and I. You ladies deserve it!

I disagree with the bad reviews. My dad has had the best experience here since he moved in earlier this year. Even through this tough time of Covid19, the staff has continued to give excellent service. Mike and his housekeeping team keep the place looking and smelling clean. My dad loves food and the dining staff is friendly and gives my dad seconds whenever he asks. My dad was always an introvert growing up, so he loves that Sheri and the activity staff come to his door everyday with activities and party carts and keep me connected through phone calls and video chat.Any questions Ive had have been confidently answered by Beatrice, the new Executive Director. Theyve had no cases of Covid19, so I guess theyve done something right. Ive been able to rest easy since I know my dad is being taken care of. Just thought Id add my two cents.

Morningside House of Satyr Hill has been in business since 7/1999. I have been with the company since 10/2000, that is over 18+ years! Like all businesses, nothing is perfect! If this was such a terrible place to work for I would not be here. We are under a new ED, and she is making changes to make this a better place for the residents and staff. Some people dont like changes but in this case it is for the better. If I was fortunate to still have my parents I would have them come here to live so they could have the proper care that they so deserved. I am not looking to leave employment here for a long time!

I have had the unique opportunity or working at Satyr Hill for a decade, in nursing. This gave me the chance to bond with my residents, their families, to teach staff the fine art of caring. It also gave me the chance to be a part of the positive things that have happened and are happening at our building. The buidling is beautiful, the staff is on board with caring and supporting our residents and its a darn good place to work.

I recently rated Morningside with one star, and I apologize to the staff, residents, and the company. I made that error after swiping to my next rating, not realizing my mistake. Morningside is a facility that is full of energy. The staff greets you warmly at the door, and speaks to the residents on a first name basis, which shows a sense of bonding between them. I rate the facility with four stars, because with my knowledge of some of the staff and residents, and my time visiting there, I think PRN staff is needed. With the extra staff, it will allow flexibility for days off or emergency call outs, with schedules that are already set. It would ensure that the staff isn't so easily burned out with covering other shifts, and that patients don't feel any lack of services or help. Doing so, would also help to continue to make the core values, C.H.A.R.T. , stand out even more than it already is! Along with following the core values, and caring out the lifestyle mission, I love the environment that Morningside gives. They are extremely attentive to the residents, have built trusting relationships with them, and have allowed my family to be apart of it. My two kids have come by to visit, often telling the residents jokes, held conversations about their day in school, and played instruments with them. I appreciate the staff and Morningside for all that they do.
