We moved my father into Morningside House of Laurel after my mother passed away and he needed more care than we could provide. Over the last 2+ years we’ve had a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and caring towards my father. He is not always easy or open to their care, but they understand his needs and are very patient with him. They keep me informed and are responsive to my requests and questions. It’s such a comfort knowing that he is safe ” it allows me to sleep better at night.

The activities Director at Morningside House of Laurel Sr. Living makes the residents feel special. He and his staff are very friendly and engage with the residents in a variety of daily, weekly and monthly social events. My mother loves playing bingo and participating in the onsite physical exercises. Most of the activities are tailored to fit a range of ability levels. Chair yoga is a fan favorite. Movies, brain games and creative activities challenge and inspire the residents. I am happy that my mother is well cared for in a socially stimulating environment.

In my opinion from what i observed daily, Morningside is a outstanding facility. I am very impressed by the way they cared for my Mother in making her days comfortable. The staff are wonderful caring people. The facility is spotless and very clean. The cafeteria/food services is wonderful it makes the senior who live and is care for a remarkable place to be. Morningside House of Laurel is a hidden gem for senior citizens. It's perfect for my mother; the staff and personal care for residents are second to none. Special shout out to the marketing director (Niki), who also conducts new resident intake. She is perfect for the job! The leadership leads and listens to residents to improve the community further, and the staff treats residents like their own family.

The place is nasty. They have a memory care activities Director who sings she is horrible. I watched the animals crawl back in the holes. She has yells at the top of her mom and makes everybody’s ears hurt and bleed.

Everything was amazing! We heard about Morningside house of Laurel from a co worker so we traveled from annapolis (which isn't far) not too long ago to try this place out. We loved it! Staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful. Greeted every time we come down with a smile and genuinely feel great every time we’re here. I can tell that the staff here cares about their residents and the residents seem pretty happy to be there too. This community is wonderful. The new updates to the building are fantastic and the location is great. Feels homey and clean. The team is friendly and professional, including the nurses that go above and beyond for their residents. They have fun and creative activities, keeping their residents engaged and happy. Morningside House of Laurel was the absolute best choice for my dad. He has never been a very social person, always stayed to himself and since he's moved in to morningside, he has become a social butterfly. He is involved in almost every activity and goes on every trip that he can. The staff communicates with me about everything and you are always greeted with a smile when you walk through the door.

I recently was given a tour at Morningside house of laurel. I had such a great experience! I saw some of the residents enjoying musical entertainment, some enjoying a snack while sitting by the fireplace and others enjoying an open dining room eating lunch. We are looking for my mom and hoping to get her on board for the move this coming spring.

Today I attended a ceremony where milestone birthdays were being celebrated and the Mayor of Laurel spoke and was handing out certificates. For example, one resident was being honored for recently turning 100 years old which is an amazing achievement. Anyway, my father was being honored for turning 91 during the pandemic. I was happy my young son and brother were with me and I will definitely remember the occasion. The ambience and dinner were excellent. Under the current pandemic climate, it was as nice a ceremony as can be pulled off. I tip my cap.

I went to Morning Star to look for an alternative for my relative. I am pleased with the facility they currently are in but need to consider, long term methods to reduce expenses. I was pleased with what I saw. The residents seemed happy, comfortable, engaged, clean, and well taken care of. The facility itself had recent improvements and was attractive and modern. There seemed to be ample space for residents to take advantage of all the resources however they chose. It appeared appropriate safety precautions had been taken. The staff was professional and very friendly. They all seemed to be anxious to provide any answers or information they could. I especially liked the companion suites that gave each resident their own privacy while sharing the restroom. Overall, I had a positive visit.

Took a tour of the facility for a loved one. Everyone was enjoying themselves playing bingo. Facility was very clean, and they are currently undergoing some renovations. I am considering this location as a place for my loved one.

I would highly recommend Morningside House of Laurel. I was considering possible placement options for my mom and contacted Sarah. We had a great conversation on the phone and I felt she asked the right questions regarding my mom and was very interested in my mom's needs and likes. Though we are not placing my mom anywhere right now, I definitely would consider Morningside House of Laurel in the future if it is appropriate for my mom's needs. We did use Morningside House of Laurel a few years back for respite care for a long weekend for my mother-in-law who was recovering from a hip replacement in our home. We were extremely happy with the care she received while there.

During our tour, the environment was impeccable, the cuisine was delicious, each head of staff took pride and explained in detail their division. The pianist was wonderful and stimulating, and each resident was addressed by their name. Susan and Sarah were both outstanding, welcoming and refreshing as we discussed why Morningside should be our choice. The rest of the staff had a genuine demeanor, dedicated to giving exemplary service, proficient and exceedingly caring. Morningside House atmosphere is parallel to " cozy home" were the the staff goes above and beyond to make every resident to feel special/included. It was most impressive to witness as we departed the premises, the residents and passing staff members entering were all delightful, which made us all smile. It is the small things in life that normally go unnoticed but at Morningside House it was apparent that the small things matter! I will definitely recommend Morningside House of Laurel to others looking for assisted living!
