My experience is that the staff is friendly but a few issues may arise from time to time with Administrators fulfilling a resolve to a possible mishap. Like not responding to certain email in a timely fashion & addressing a question fully, etc.

From the first visit staff was very nice, and the facility is clean. I did not encounter any smells throughout my visit. Moms Respite stay was pleasant and staff kept me informed on a daily basis. I did not encounter any issues. Thank you for taking care of my mom!

Autumn Lake is very good place to REHAB once everyone is on the same page and that familiarity kicks in. They have some excellent staff from the Directors to maintenance which also includes the nursing staff. Communication is very important between all staff members and patients which takes some time to get right. I also feel that once the patient and staff acclimate themselves with one another things work well for the most part. It takes some time to get the right meal preparation menu in place. With anything new, it takes time to perfect if that's at all possible. Most of the were professional, personable, knowledgeable and at times less patient than usual, but we do recommend Autumn Lake for yours and your loved ones REHAB needs. It was a personal and professional pleasure having our Mother stay there for one month. Thank you for everything you did and tried to do.

Today was my first visit, the facility I thought was very nice and appropriate..the staff seemed to be about their business totally. To speak to visitors would really be a plus, they only spoke if you spoke to them which is OK but a welcome to our facility would be OK as well.

I visited this facility 4/17/2025. I was there about an hour or so. While there I made use of the visitor's restroom before entering my friends room on the first floor. The restroom was very clean and stocked. The young lady at the front desk was kind and helpful. My friends room could have used a sweeping under the bed, but since the general appearance of the facility is clean, I believe housekeeping had already been through the earlier part of the day and I didn't arrive til well after noon and left about 5:10 p.m. I noticed staff interactions with various patients was professional and kind.

Usterday, while visiting our friend who has been an inpatient for 2 weeks, we sat in the hall outside the elevators. Most of the staff, as they passed by, were friendly and greeted or nodded at us. We hope this is how the patients are treated when there are no outside visitors.

I can't say enough positive things about this team of health care professionals! From admissions to discharge they are so caring and engaged with their families and patients. I am eternally grateful! A special recognition to PT & OT because of their commitment to both individual Rehabilitation for patients and their creativity for group therapy that results in fun & competitive banter and joy for the participants! The laughs and the excitement, by the patients participating in the many therapy sessions, is a beacon of hope for caregivers. It is so encouraging as we await their return home. Thank you to the dietitian and food services team! You guys fill the bodies of the patients and the hallways with some amazing smells, healthy & great meal options. And last but not least, housekeeping and maintenance! The care you all give to the facility and extend to each patient is a blessing. I applaud administration for the hiring and management of a team from reception to home care transition, who are committed to creating a family-friendly environment; that ensures that our loved ones are safe, happy, healthy and engaged in life. My wife is here for rehab and we are very happy with the service she has received. The staff and support team have a very positive attitude and respond to requests in good time. We deeply appreciate all they do. The PT and OT Therapy personnel are excellent. This is an update to my initial review. My wife was discharged on 8/5/23 and she is now home. I would like to provide a very positive addition to my initial review. We feel we received outstanding support from the entire team at Cherry Lane - on the Administrative staff we dealt with Dorothy in Admissions, Sama the unit Supervisor, Vincent - on the nursing staff, and Erin the Social Worker. For PT and OT my wife was served by JR, Christina, Stephon, and Yvette - ALL outstanding. They pushed my wife to get better but in a nice way! The Activities staff was also outstanding - Michele, Linda, and Ronnie. All our nurses and aides showed a sincere concern for my wife and helped in any way they could - we especially felt Hannisah (sic?) was an "angel" in the way she treated Jean. The cleaning staff was very friendly and did a great job as well and the food was above average for a nursing facility. Jean and I feel we owe a debt of gratitude to all the people at Autumn Lake at Cherry Lane. Thank you for all you did for us! 7/16/24 - I visited Cherry Lane to watch the Jerry Overby entertainment hour and to visit some of the residents we met when my wife was there. We had a lot of fun singing along and I was very impressed with how the Activities team worked to make this event a happy one for all the residents by singing with them, swaying with them, and making them part of the event.

I highly recommend Autumn Lake at Cherry Lane. My aunt was placed there from Howard County General Hospital, and the rehab was exceptional. After a two-month stay, she returned home healthy and strong. The care and support provided were outstanding.
