Updated Review 10/2024 I am happy to say that I am now the proud and grateful daughter of an Arbor Terrace graduate! What I mean by "graduate" is that the caring, attentive, and compassionate staff at Arbor Terrace provided my mom with such excellent care and services that she literally no longer needs them. My mom's recovery from a very serious illness would not have happened without the care and support of everyone at Arbor Terrace from the front desk staff, skilled nurses, program staff, and administrators everyone played a role in helping my mom get back on her feet physically and emotionally. Should we ever need assisted living in the future we will go straight to Arbor Terrace! Thank you to Tiara for providing training on the InTouch Link app. You were definitely prepared with a video demonstration as well as on hands training. Thank you for your patience when I have questions and just being you. You greet the residents and their families with so much warmth and willingness to assist in whatever way you can. Always so pleasant. The Entertainment Director is awesome too and so is everyone of her staff members, go figure! We didn't go wrong with deciding on Arbor Terrace for our love one. If you decide on Arbor Terrace, I would encourage families to visit and participate in activities to really get a feel for the living conditions your family member will live in. It is important to get to know the staff, participate in activities with your loved one so they can feel at home. I have a lot of fun and at ease when I watch the seniors actively involved in activities.

I am so happy that my friend is living here now. She is only in her early 60's but she has memory issues. The residence is so clean and has lovely furnishings in the communal area. The food is very good and the staff is amazing. Everyone I've spoken with has been kind, professional, and friendly. I just got off the phone with Tiara who is absolutely lovely - so kind and caring about my friend. She assured me that my friend is getting well acclimated and joining in on activities. And the receptionist (I'm so sorry but her name escapes me) always greets me with the biggest smile Thank God for places like this and the people who staff them!

My brother, Talmage G. Wilson, Jr. was a resident at Arbor Terrace Senior Living facility in Glenn Dale, Maryland for several years. While living there, he reached the remarkable age of 100 on January 15, 2021. His mobility was poor but otherwise he was enviable health for a person his age. I am writing to express my admiration and thanks to Denise Kirksey who planned and executed not one but four events celebrating my brother's 100th birthday. The first was a special dinner in the festively decorated dinning room and was attended by many of the other residents. Next, Denise arranged a live media event with one of the local television stations and Talmage was interviewed by one of their representatives. Arbor Terrace staff and residence was invited also and the occasion was lively with music and dancing. Talmage had long planned to throw his own party should he live to be 100 and indeed began making plans which unfortunately had to be cancelled because of the pandemic. Not to be outdone, Denise, along with the minister of his church arranged a drive-by. It was a huge success with balloons, horns blowing, friends waving and throwing kisses from their cars. Talmage declared it better than a party. I was a frequent visitor to Arbor Terrace at least twice each week and sometimes more so I had many opportunities to observe Denise's dedication to her position, to the residents and also to their families and friends. Arbor Terrace Senior Living Facility is most fortunate to have Denise Kirksey as a valued member of their staff.

I found Arbor Terrace through a place for mom. The first visit felt so welcoming from the vibrant color schemes of the decor to the cleanliness of the building and the spaciousness of the apartments . Every staff member we came in contact with was so friendly, the residents there looked happy to reside there. My dad was not looking to move at that time. My dad and I decided to re visit almost a year later to make Arbor Terrace his home. The apartments are very nice and all of the staff that we have met have been very helpful especially Nicola who went above and beyond to make the move in process as seamless as possible. If you or a loved one is looking for an Assisted living community , I recommend Arbor Terrace!

Arbor Terrace is such a wonderful place to bring your loved one. Denise, the Activities Director, is one of a kind. She goes above and beyond in keeping the residents engaged! I'm very impressed with the resident led programs, it gives them a sense of inclusion. Her assistants, Tiara and Fazile, make the programing enjoyable as well! The three of them think outside the box to create wonderful, meaningful activities.

It's been one year since our loved One was moved from a substandard senior facility in Laurel to the wonderful Arbor Terrace senior living in Greenbelt. When we first entered Arbor Terrace, we were greeted with beautiful smiles from Miss Candace and Miss Renae And several others that have completely set the pace and make you feel at home. Ms.Louse And her professional administration staff are always there to answer any questions or any concerns we may have and show that they are truly concerned with not only the resident, but the family as well. Our loved one resides in Evergreen the memory care unity, Where Ms.Constance and her team of care partners do a great job at meeting all of her needs as well as keeping her safe, clean and, engaged in many activities. The Meals are prepared by a professionals chef and are very appetizing, quite delicious, and healthy. The beauty salon is awesome. She loves her nails and her hair is always done so nicely. Her hair is extremely healthy now. We always look forward to the calendar to what Miss Denise and the engagement team have in store for the residents. They have been so amazing and are dedicated to complete inclusion for all the residents from the holiday celebrations to the arts and crafts, stimulating activities, daily music and dancing. You can count on Miss Denise and her team to provide comfort and pampering. We feel that our loved one deserves the best care possible. We have definitely made a great choice.

As a fire safty contractor, for Arbor Terrace, I've found the management group to be very responsive in communication and payments. From what I've seen of the facilities it's a step above any community of its kind. It's the cleanest by far and everyone who I've been in contact with there seems to love their job and it truly seems like a community.

Arbor Terrace is a wonderful place for Senior Living! The residents are pleasantly active in the vast array of activities. The care staff is super friendly, welcoming and helpful. It is a clean, organized and delightful choice to recommend to those looking to transition into a Senior Community. I highly recommend that you request a tour to see for yourself and ask for Cheyenne.

Moving my mother into this Senior Assisted living facility was a unbelievable, very pleasant experience. The staff and in particular the sales Director Nicola Hall were personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was impressed with the whole organization from the very first day I visited for my review; and Nicola aided every step of the way and was always available for every call and question. The biggest issue and problem that I encountered in trying to get my mother moved in, was with members of my own family not be able to agree on anything that was of my mother best interest. Nicola went way beyond the duties of her job description and literally became a member of this family and help us resolve our differences and to do the right thing. Thank you, Nicola Hall. I would highly recommend Arbor Terrace to anyone looking for an assisted living home/facility for their mother or loved one.

The front staff is very convincing but not truthful about being totally Understaffed, the residents suffer. The front office Do not care about their residents. After 3 months of being there my loved one caught covid and developed bedsores. When taken to the hospital they pulled a patient dump and would not except him back because they did not have anyone to change bedsore wounds which developed while under their care. Not worth thousands of dollars a month. We had issues from day one from forgetting to escort my father to eat dinner, not cleaning the apartment unit leaving feces on his toilet in his shower and the side of his sink. When he presses emergency button the aide takes 30 to 40 mins to respond. Their ENTIRE Wellness staff is Inexperienced, Cedrena is very uncaring and nonchalant. The aides are mostly African and seemed to have zero communication skills and very awkward. Talking with them was like talking to yourself, so I can only imagine how my loved one felt. If you value your loved one, PLEASE do not put them in Arbor Terrace in Lanham. Not enough space to list the negatives of my loved one's 3-months of being there.

Arbor terrace senior living is a wonderful place for seniors. When you walk in, you are greeted by staff. Very nice and clean facility. Mrs Nicola Hall, welcome me and my family with open arms. Mrs. Hall from day one has been outstanding and very professional and She also took her time explaining the process of Arbot Terrace in Greenbelt. Because of Mrs. Hall, my family and I decided that this is where my father needed to be. If I could give her ten stars I would.

Number on Review to speak to Owner was Arbor Terrace Facility’s number in Lanham, so I called and left several messages for the owner to call me back leaving my cell phone number. Rita (Director) emailed my brother to ask why I am calling Arbor Terrace - which means that they have not passed the message on to the owner. They are blocking me because they do not want the owner to know what I have to say. If you value your loved one, PLEASE do not put them in Arbor Terrace in Lanham. Maybe when the State and County gets involved - maybe then - the owner will call me.
