Newer built facility, very clean, well-maintained and very well-run facility. The executive director takes the time to meet with loved ones/care givers and personally ensures residents have all they need on move in day. Staff caring and well trained. The clinical staff spends time with the new residents' prior medical staff to ensure they have all the information needed to care for the resident. Various medical specialist (psychiatry, podiatry, dental, etc) see residents at the facility, like a house call. I highly recommend this facility.

I recently toured Tribute at Black Hill and absolutely loved it! From the moment I walked in, the community felt warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The building is modern, bright, and thoughtfully designed, and everything was spotless. The staff members I met were incredibly friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the tour. It truly feels like a place where residents are respected, engaged, and cared for. The amenities, common areas, and outdoor spaces were impressive, and I could easily see how someone would feel at home here. What an amazing community. We just moved my mother in law into Tribute at Black Hill and it was amazing. They welcomed us with a red carpet and Lindsay the sales director was awesome. My mother in law has been there for over a month now and we all agree we should have made the move sooner!

I first contacted the facility to inquire about arrangements for my loved one much earlier this year”in the Spring. I was able to schedule a tour directly from the website and met with an employee early one weekend morning. By that point, I had already explored and toured a few places: CCRC, independent living, as well as other assisted living facilities. When I walked into Tribute, before meeting with staff, I was taken aback by the decor, layout, and smell. Tribute’s aesthetic is unmatched. When I finally sat down with Ms. Buck, I felt listened to and taken seriously. She took copious notes and asked questions during our conversation. Then, the tour began. I’m not close to retirement age but Tribute is a place I would enjoy or seek out when it’s my time. Fast forward weeks and months, I was able to bring my parent to see the place for themself. Key to choosing a facility is knowing your relative, budgeting wisely, anticipating future needs, and keeping lines of communication open with those who you entrust your family member’s care. Remember, staff are doing a job that you’re unable to do for whatever reason. To that end, I’ve had very positive interactions to date with all staff I’ve encounteredat all levels from building service/maintenance to dining to nursing/patient care to recreation to occupational- and physical therapy to executive leadership. After months of planning, including a delay for health reasons, my family member finally moved in at the end of the summer. There have been a few snafus along the way, no place is perfect, but I am at peace knowing my loved one is taken care of. Staff are incredibly accommodating, responsive, and because of my engagement/involvement, I trust my elder is in good hands. Thank you, Tribute at Black Hill.

Eddie who is in charge of maintenance and transportation helped my mother (non-ambulatory) and her aide who were left stranded at Seneca Meadows Mall by Metro Access (apparently due to a computer glitch on their part). Eddie was contacted to see if he could arrange to pick them up, which he very graciously did. We are all so grateful for Eddie’s kindness and helpfulness! He deserves a lot of credit!

Guys, I have never and never seen a clean place like Tribute. For those who have no idea what Tribute at Black Hill is okay this is an Assistant Living for our beloved parents. It's like entering a 5 star hotel. No smell, as in NO SMELL AT ALL as compared to other assistant living. If you doubt, just go check it out. I haven't even started they have the best dining area, tv area, cinema area, spa area, out door area is soo beautiful with nice sitting and the list goes on. Oooh no one can access the rooms without a special key. Leave alone these normal keys nope. How I wish all our beloved parents would have such a nice place to live. TRIBUTE AT BLACK HILL IS THE BEST PLACE.

Tribute at Black Hill is an exceptional assisted living facility. I looked at several facilities in Philadelphia for my mother while my brother researched numerous possibilities in the MD/DC area. We agreed that Tribute at Black Hill was by far the best choice. Everyone there immediately went to work ensuring that my mother (who was resistant to the notion of living in an assisted living facility) made friends as quickly as possible. Tribute at Black Hill treats you like family. In fact, when my mother recently passed away, many of the staff were openly distraught since they too - like many of the residents - had become very close with my mother. The facility itself also is beautiful, with great outdoor spaces and meticulously maintained, and the food is excellent. Lastly, the cost was far more competitive than every other facility we looked at and without sacrificing anything at all on quality. You can tell when someone is simply going through the motions and when they truly love what they do. At Tribute at Black Hill it’s clear everyone is completely dedicated to caring for their residents in every way possible. It’s never easy to have a loved one go to assisted living but, thanks to Tribute at Black Hill, the experience for my mother and our entire family was fantastic. Thank you so much to everyone there, I will miss you!

In February of 2023, I started searching for assisted living facilities in the area after my mother had a stroke the previous month. I had visited 5 facilities and was starting to get depressed at the prospects of finding a good home for her. Then I went to Tribute at Black Hill and everything changed. Their staff show love and respect to their residents, and that's reflected in everything from the beautiful facility, the wide range of activities offered, the beautiful rooms, the fantastic food and the care of the nursing staff and aides. My mother passed away yesterday on August 1, 2024, and I can tell you that Tribute at Black Hill filled her final 17 months with many great moments, and they never stopped treating her with dignity. I know she was so happy being part of a wonderful community and making great friends. Living at home by herself she didn't have any of that, after the death of my father in 2019. Tribute at Black Hill will always have a special place in my heart, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place for a loved one. They are the absolute best assisted living facility in the area, bar none.

Last summer, my parents became part of the Tribute at Black Hill community. Tribute offered a clean, modern facility with a friendly staff. Their move was from out of state, so my parents had a wait for their furniture. Tribute provided temporary items to ease the wait, which saved us renting or purchasing items. The staff worked to accommodate my parents' unique situation. There were the hiccups that accompany change and adjustment, but those were quickly addressed by the staff. In addition to their regularly scheduled activities, Tribute has special guests or events that match the holidays or season. The staff see my parents for the individuals they are. The kitchen knows my dad's preference for Sriracha with meals and added it to his table. Several staff members have learned my mom is bilingual and have learned to say general phrases in her native language. Tribute set up a news story which celebrated my dad's military service and my parents' 60 years of marriage. Tribute has even invited my parents' dog into the community. I am happy that my parents have a safe, comfortable, supportive and friendly new home in Tribute.

My mom, who has advanced dementia, spent six years at an upscale facility in Bethesda. Dissatisfaction with various aspects of her care, not to mention excessive fee increases, prompted me to seek a different community. One year ago, I moved her to Tribute at Black Hill. It's a beautiful, airy and light-filled property, with spacious well-appointed suites. The staff is honest, responsive and compassionate staff (everyone from the Executive Office to Nursing to Maintenance.) Providing outstanding memory care is an ambitous, challenging mission -- one which the Tribute staff strives to fulfill on every level, every day. The memory care neighborhood is thoughtfully staffed with attentive, gentle caregivers who are always ready and willing to assist when needed. Activities programming includes regular exercise sessions, musical entertainment, and appropriate alternatives for different levels of cognitive ability. Tribute also impresses on food quality. The community's talented chef ensures an elevated dining experience for all residents, including those on a pureed diet. He clearly understands how to optimize the eating experience for those whose taste senses or eating abilities are significantly diminished. Initially, I was quite skeptical when the nursing team told me I didn't need to provide supplemental nutrition drinks. (Mom's prior facility was using 1-2 drinks daily.) Six weeks after move-in my mother had gained eight pounds, and sh'e gone a whole year without one nutrition drink! I encourage you to visit Tribute at Black Hill. It's a wonderful community filled with professionals who really care, and lots of positive energy!

My mother was the second resident, four years ago, to move into assisted living at Tribute at Black Hill. We lost her last month and our time with Tribute has sadly come to a close. I feel blessed that my mother was able to spend these four years at Tribute. She had a lovely room, a beautiful dining room, spacious community indoor and outdoor space, and best of all, kind-hearted staff that were attentive and loving to her. We used to visit with her at one of the many outdoor patios, in the beautiful sunlit library, or in the common area with a the piano and fireplace. The director of Tribute, Andrew Ryan, was helpful and highly accommodating to our mother as her needs changed in the past year. I am grateful to the entire staff at Tribute for having cared for my mother in these final years of her beautiful life.

In mid-January our family was researching memory care facilities for our beloved husband and father, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia several years ago. We had been on such a journey already and were bracing ourselves for very difficult decisions about our loved one's care and placement. Our first visit was to Tribute at Black Hill. Kathy, the Community Relations Director met with us and provided a full and heartfelt presentation of Tribute's amenities and services (we had 3 pages of questions that we never asked because Kathy covered everything in her presentation). Kathy took us on a tour and acknowledged each resident by name. We were extremely impressed with the facility, staff, and activities - so much that we put a deposit down on a one-bedroom apartment. Sadly, our loved one passed away before he was able to take residence. Kathy checked in with our family and was truly concerned about our welfare. We will be forever grateful to Kathy and Tribute.

My mom is now a resident at Tribute at Black Hill. I chose it because it felt light, bright and vibrant with a good variety of activities and the residents seem happy. The personal care my mom has received has been absolutely wonderful. It is a joy to visit her here and it feels good to know that she is cared for when I'm not there. Every interaction has been amazing. When we first moved my aunt into Tribute, we expected to eventually see at least a few things we might not like. It is not the case with Tribute. The staff is attentive and caring with all residents. I think the corporate mission of Cadence is very good, because they know how to select and train all of their employees.
