The food is not always appetizing looking. The meatballs were black and my mom could not cut through them because they were so tough. She is 91. The call necklaces take several attempts to reset, which is a vital safety hazard. The water is often not warm enough for bathing.

My mom has been at this facility for almost five years. They have always offered excellent service. I love Charter Senior Living at Bowie. It’s a great place for my mom. The ENTIRE staff has always been caring, professional, and very responsive to my mom and to any questions or concerns that my family has had, especially when she had to make the transition from the assisted living side to the dementia/memory care side. Charter feels like a real home for my mom, and I am very grateful for everything they have done and continue to do for her and for all of the residents. They are like an extended family there.

I want to thank the nursing staff ALL OF YOU for taking care of my mother and all residents in this very difficult time. You locked your doors quickly as soon as you heard about this pandemic saving all of you and our family members residing there. You have come up with creative ideas no doubt to keep the residences engaged in activities. You have come up with creative ways for us to be able to still see our family member and speak with them. I normally dont right reviews ONLY WHEN NECESSARY AND THIS IS NECESSARY!!!! I called HeartFields of Bowie and spoke to a man at the front desk, I didnt get his name, but he was very pleasant. I asked him about his faculty and he transfer my call to a women Nicola Hall. Nicola Hall introduce herself as the sales director for HeartFields. I explain to Ms-Mrs. Hall the challenges I am having with my dad who has dementia. This women was amazing, she took the time out to listen to me as I poor out my heart to her and she answered all of my questions. She was extremely patient with me and her expertise (well educated women in dementia, blew me out of the water) on what resources are available for me and my dad. Ms.-Mrs. Hall customer service was outstanding. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and most of all just listen to me. I couldnt ask for anyone better to speak with. I couldnt stop thanking her for all of her help. When I got off the phone God truly answered my prays. I felt at ease to know the resources she provided to me. Your company is truly bless to have a women like Ms.-Mrs. Hall who knows her job-work and can make someone in my positions feel there is hope for me and my dad. Ms.-Mrs. Hall thank you so much! My husbands been at HeartFields AL at Bowie since early December. He is doing so much better than I could do myself. With him being at HeartFields, it was the best decision that I made. My mother is 101 years old and has been a resident of Heartfields Assisted Living at Bowie for almost 9 years. My family and I visited Heartfields first but chose another facility only to return to Heartfields two years later because of their secure memory unit. The staff there is fantastic; they are all so kind and considerate of my mother and her strong fierce ways. Although her dementia has erased away memories of me and the rest of her family, she is still my independent mother hollering wait a minute when the staff moves too fast for her. Or holding on for dear life to something or someone. I worried for nothing when Mama first got there. She was fine and still is okay; and they took good care of her then and still do. She never wanted to go into a nursing home or any other facility but I feel that she has the best care and will continue to have the best care at Heartfields as she lives on into her hundreds.

We have had a positive experience at Heartfields through the entire process of searching for a place for my mom who has dementia and recently fell and broke her hip. The staff has been compassionate and informative right from the start. Nicola Hall, Sales Counselor, has been very helpful starting with guiding us on a tour of the Bridge to Rediscovery community, and through every step of filling out the paperwork and gathering the necessary information. She has been informative and knowledgeable and patiently answers all our questions.

My Aunt has resided at Heartfields Assisted Living now for 5 months and she simply loves it. She always informs me of how kind the staff is and how they assist her throughout the day. The food is top notched and the service makes you feel like you are dining in a 5 star restaurant. My personal thanks goes out to Cheryl, Nicola, Althea, and Jean for making my Aunts transition extremely smooth and pain free. Anyone looking for an Assisted Living Facility in the Bowie MD area should definitely put Heartfields at Bowie on their list.

Even after the Corporate Notification; Mrs. Hall was still instrumental in helping us locate a lovely well Staffed Home for Mother. First, we were super conflicted as we searched for the right assisted living facility for our loved one. As we walked in the door we were greeted by a receptionist with the biggest and most welcoming smile. The receptionist made us feel at home and then we immediately noticed the home environment this assisted living facility created. People shuffled about, the aroma of great smelling food, songs were sung and everyone greeted us with a smile and hello. From the tour by the most pleasant and knowledgeable marketing director to the sampling of the food, no detail was left out during the tour. We knew we found the home for mom. Wow, we could finally sleep well at night with our decision to move mom into Heartfields Assisted Living at Bowie knowing she was being taken care of in our absence. From the smiles, compassion felt, professionalism shown and allowing us to sleep at night, we say 'thank you.' Oh by the way... we later found out the receptionist was the Executive Director of Heartfields Assisted Living at Bowie. The Executive Director's team player philosophy is infectious within the assisted living as everyone is pitches in where there is a need. Again, thank you for assisting in making mom's latter days one she enjoys. Thank you.

I toured Heartfields at Bowie after touring other senior communities in the area looking for a great place for my grandmother. I was extremely pleased with the tour I had with the sales counselor Nicola Hall. She was very professional, had a smile on her face when she greeted me. She explained the operation of the community and the care they provide. The customer service that was presented by the staff as we toured and the smiles on residents faces made me feel this is the right place for my grandmother. It was a warm feeling and a home like setting just what I am looking for. I also was introduced to the Executive Director with a smile and a great conversation. Nicola invited me to stay for lunch to taste the five star dining experience. I want to say the experience over all was excellent.... Thank you......

I was recently faced with having to relocate my dad from an assisted living facility for seniors because his needs had become elevated to the extent that he required 24/7 vigilance due to his dementia issues, anxieties and restlessness. I had only 30 days to research and evaluate other facilities that had accommodations to deal with his needs. I discovered Heartfields at Bowie which seemed to be a good fit for my dad based on the availability of memory care services which they can provide and the calm ambience, beautiful setting, and boarding amenities I observed. My primary contact was with with Nicola Hall who is the Sales Counselor for this facility. She gave me a thorough tour of their facility and provided me with upfront facts concerning pricing and what the facility could offer. Upon our first meeting, Nicola was ready to start the application process to ensure the expediency of getting my dad relocated and was extremely helpful in completing all of the necessary forms to include her offer to write in my dad's information since I have had a sprained wrist and could not write legibly. She even offered to see me on a Saturday to pick up from where we had left off earlier in the week. I felt completely in Nicola's trust in what she had to explain to me that was both frank from a pricing perspective and what accommodations I could expect for my dad's care. I don't think it gets any better than that. No hidden surprises because she explained every potential contingency that could possibly arise and walked me through the whole process of transferring my dad from his former facility. I am very grateful for her above-and-beyond treatment of my urgency to get my dad placed in an appropriate environment for the level of care his condition now requires. I rate this facility as a solid 5 star enterprise for these very reasons and Nicola was a huge factor in my rating as well as other staff who I had met.

Our entire family was very impressed with how everything was handled during moms fast transition this weekend. Your staff was very caring to mom the moment she arrived.
