The staff at sympnony Manor is uniformly wonderful! They welcomed my not so easy Aunt with open arms and have made several recommendations to improve her health and lifestyle. I am so relieved that she is in such good hands.

The team at Symphony Manor is amazing! Led by a dynamic and seasoned Executive Director, this team is made up of like minded, mission-driven leaders. For example, the Resident Engagement Director is talented in providing residents with an array of daily quality of life offerings and is additiinally committed to training others about holistic care approaches. The Memory Support Director is engaged and energetic and works side by side with her dedicated care partners to ensure the residents' world remains rich and joyful. Life is good at this beautiful community!

Symphony Manor at Roland Park is a beautiful community. So many caring people work there, everyone is always so friendly and helpful. The residents are very well cared for! Shout out to Ashley in memory care who plans fun engaging activities for the residents everyday, Gillian in direct care who always has a smile to share, Keisha in nursing for her kindness and support, Kirk in housekeeping, Josh and Keith in maintenance, Catrena in the business office, LeRoy and his team for delicious food, and Ms. Pat at the front desk for being a welcoming friendly presence to every one who visits. I always love spending time at this community.

I have worked as a home health nurse visiting this community for almost 3 years. The staff is caring , helpful and very thoughtful to each other and residents. I enjoy the residents talks and laughs with my visits , they are always involved in an activity or sitting out back enjoying the atmosphere. I recently accepted my current position as DHW/DN because of how caring and loving the staff and residents are to one another .I am looking forward to years of employment here at Symphony Manor and with my favorite population.

Our mom has been at Symphony Manor in Roland Park since April 2018. From the minute we went for a tour and met the staff, we were convinced that this was the place for her future memory care. Each staff member throughout her stay have been extremely kind (as if mom were their parent or family member), respond on the most professional manner and care about not just mom but our family. Even now through the current Covid-19 pandemic, they have and continue to be in constant communication with our family in a transparent and timely manner wrt any updates. The prom they had for the memory care floor last year will forever be a cherished memory. There is one person to point out in particular that has been the most wonderful caregiver a family could ever ask for. Ashley Hartlove has been an amazing part of our family as she has been so kind, caring and really built a beautiful relationship with our mom. She always goes beyond the call of duty and we know mom is safe in her hands as well as so many others like Pat, Patricia, Gina, LaSheena and many more.We continue to get feedback from our mom that the staff are wonderful, the food is great, the activities are endless (and her choice to join) and she has made friends for life with the residents on her hall. We could never have imagined a better scenario for our mom that lets us live at peace with having made the right decision for her Thank you all at Symphony Manor for all you do for our mom and our family! My mother - who has advance dementia, is wheelchair bound (after a broken knee from a fall 3 years ago), and catheterized - has lived at Symphony Manor for almost a year. Prior to that, she was at another memory care facility for 4 years. We made the decision to move her because the level of care she required had become to much for the prior facility to handle. I am thrilled with Symphony Manor!!!! The physical facility is wonderful - large bedrooms, large common areas, wide hallways, outdoor patio on the memory care floor, plenty of sunshine, etc. But even more important is the wonderful, caring, dedicated staff. They are attentive to all the residents and understand each residents unique needs. And, they proactively communicate with family members. The fact that many of the caregivers have been with Symphony Manor for years - something that is highly unusual in this type of job - speaks to what a high quality facility Symphony Manor is. During covid, Symphony Manor has done an excellent job of making sure family members are able to keep in touch with the residents through FaceTime calls several times a week, window visits, or (more recently) outdoor socially distanced in-person visits. Ashley, in partucular, has been amazing thoughout!!!! Symphony Manor is so lucky to have her as the Memory Support Director. Whenever I have a question, I know Ashley will be able to get an answer for me. Pre-covid, I visited almost daily and got to know many of the caregivers. They were all very good, but I want to mention Lasheena in particluar as she always went out of her way to communicate with me and help with whatever may be needed.I highly recommend Symphony Manor for anyone looking for a safe, secure, well managed place for a loved one needing memory care.

In anticipation of the future for a friend I called to inquire about Symphony Manor. The person I spoke to was extremely helpful. She was not at all put out about the fact we are still in the beginning stages of thinking about the future. She answered all our questions completely and offered helpful advise on things we had not even thought of yet. She was open and honest and did not hesitate to discuss price, services and facilities. We got an excellent feelIng about the facility. A very positive experience and will go visit.

Mom moved in to Symphony Manor last September. We chose it for its proximity to our home and we love it for the people who work there. The caregivers are friendly and engaging. They take the time to develop relationships with residents and family members. These relationships have been incredibly valuable during quarantine, allowing us to stay connected while keeping everyone healthy.

I am a very particular person, and I wanted to make sure that I placed my mother is the best facility - best meaning... clean, friendly staff, and great COVID-19 procedures. My initial interaction with the facility was the Marketing Manager, right away she made me feel at ease. Her passion for her job and making residence feel safe really convinced me, this is where my mother needed to be.The enrollment process and paperwork process was painless. Communication by all staff members is very professional and warm.I am very happy with my decision, and you will be too.

As one of the eldest employees here I feel very respected and like the mother of the building. I LOVE the people I work with and have become very attached. I am truly blessed to be at a community that is so welcoming. My residents are like family to me and I have grown to love them. I would do anything and everything to make them happy.

My husband was a resident at Symphony Manor for the last three years and during that time both he and I interacted with numerous members of the staff who were respectful and caring. He looked forward to the daily greetings he would get from Kate and Pat at the front desk and so did I. They were never too busy to joke and banter with him. Karissa, Gina and Taylor (who left to pursue a college degree ), did everything possible to keep his mind alert and to make his day full of full of music and art and to gently challenge him and put up with his puns.

Symphony Manor has been wonderful to me for the past 8 years. Stacy has allowed me the opportunity to grow and has always encouraged me to keep striving for more. Our initial experience with Symphony Manor was a virtual visit with our friend, Bernard, who was a new resident there. We were assisted considerably by Gina who worked behind the scenes to help Bernard manage the technology and enjoy the visit. Our first in-person visit gave us a first hand view of the care staff took with residents, making them comfortable. Cate was very hospitable to us as guests while still attending to safety and security. You have a fine staff!

My husband, Joe Kaplan has been a resident of Symphony Manor for almost two years and I want to share our appreciation for the private duty care they provide. Kudos to Miss Nessie, our private duty caregiver, a stellar representative. Her high standards of cleanliness, order and concern for Joe, as well as her kindness, her sunny disposition, her decorations and her gentle manner, especially in the time of COVID , have made our relationship so rewarding. She does it the way I would do it, if I could be there. Kudos also to Miss Trina, Miss Lasheena, and Miss Kate and Miss Pat, who do so much more than meet and greet, and to the nursing staff, who are there to step in and share their knowledge and experience.Joy Kaplan

Symphony Manor was a god send. My mother was there with Alzheimers for almost 7 years. There was never a day that I had to worry that she was not cared for. The staff was so kind and caring, both to her and to the family. Gina Duvall was the best!! I have recommended Symphony Manor to several friends and will continue to do so.

Moms care has been excellent both before and now during Covid. It is difficult to single out particular staff since the majority are caring and well-trained but Karissa and Erica have really been wonde4rful to Mom. I would also say that the concierges at the desk are most accommodating and friendly. Thank you so much. We are so grateful to have chosen Symphony Manor.

My sister Margaret( Peg) Reigle spent her last 5 years on the 3rd floor at Symphony Manor Roland Park. I live in Texas and it was so comforting to know Peg was well cared for by the staff. When Peg moved to Symphony Manor she was not happy, but Gina made it her mission to enable Peg to become adjusted to Symphony Manor.I cant say enough about the care that my sister received while she was at Symphony Manor. The staff were all so caring, never going by a resident without acknowledging the person and making sure they were OK.I dont remember everyones name who worked there or with Peg, but I do remember Carollota. She was, along with the rest of the staff, so caring and kind. They took great care in making sure Peg was comfortable, clean and safe.My brother and I spent a whole week in 2013 looking at nine or 10 places. Symphony Manor was the last place we saw and as soon as we walked in there and spoke to the people and saw the facility we knew that was where we wanted our sister. In the five years that she was there I never felt that we had made a wrong choice. Symphony Manor Roland Park is a wonderful caring and well run facility. Thanks to everyone who worked there from the top down

I rate Symphony Manor of Roland Park a 5 star assisted living center. They took care of my mother when she had dementia and they did an incredible job. The location is is easy to get to, the facilties are top notch. They provide movie night, book clubs, and top meals for the patients and their guests. The care from the nursing staff is top and everyone had a can do attitude and they proved top levels of service and care in an extremely safe environment.I highly recommend Symphony Manor and in my opinion they would be rated a 5 star facility: the staff, the nursing care, the facility, the activities provided and overall care

I have the pleasure of living at Symphony Manor and Im so happy to be here. Last year the staff here hosted a birthday party for me, it was one of the best presents I have ever had. Karissa, Tammy, and Ms. Pat understand me and let me be who I am, for that I am so grateful. Symphony Manor takes good care of me and Id recommend it for anyone looking.

I have never seen another such residence as nice. As the visual surroundings of a place are very important to me, I fell in love immediately with your spacious, gracious lobby and the courtyard beyond. On the 3rd floor I loved the balcony space, creatively designed for safety and a chance to experience the outdoors while still inside. And the ample room size held space for many mementos. So many things are arranged to help the caregiver deal with the stresses of illness. There is a real sense of community at Symphony Manor. The special occasion days (crab feast, Holiday party, Thanksgiving, etc) and the music programs in the lobby give one something to look forward to. Important, too, was that the memory care residents were integrated with the assisted living for programs and events. The most important ingredient in the Symphony Manor mix was the dedication of the staff. The Executive Director and Health and Wellness Director were always accessible when questions arose. The waitresses who served in the dining room did so with class, as if we were ordering in a restaurant. The chef and facility personnel were friendly and accommodating. Most important of all, of course, were the nurses and aides who helped everyday. They were unfailingly kind and patient, helping the residents keep their dignity when they could no longer attend to their most basic needs without help. I did not realize how creative staff had to be when working with memory loss patients. And not to forget to give kudos to the memory care coordinator and the lifestyle and leisure director. Their wonderful zest and enthusiasm brightened the day of many a resident and family member. When we were feeling worn out and discouraged their bouncy energy perked one up. Who would ever have guessed that reading the ingredients for a recipe in the newspaper could generate memories and responses in the listeners? But it did. So thank you all. Everyone works for the common good and gives meaning to the days of these residents.

Symphony Manor has exceeded my expectations for my wife in assisted living. The facility is very well run and managed. The nursing staff and aides are very caring and supportive of resident individual needs which I have really appreciated. There are wonderful activities planned throughout every week, most on site, and others are trips to local attractions, theater, and restaurants. Having dined with my wife on several occasions, the food is excellent.

It is difficult leaving your home after the many years you have spent there. After considering several assisted living facilities, I suddenly remembered visiting a friend Betsy, about 4 years ago at Symphony Manor to play cards with a group of friends. We were all impressed about how friendly everyone had been. I mentioned this to my son, and he suggested that we contact them. We did and felt the presence of friendship, cleanliness and care.

When we were looking for a residence for my mother we sought the advice of professionals and friends, who all said without hesitation, that the best place around is Symphony Manor. What makes it so special are the people who are dealing with our loved ones every day - and night. It is a nurturing and compassionate community, with excellent medical care. My mother has a sunny and cheerful room, there is a lovely garden and there are great community events. Symphony Manor has been there every step of the way with my mother and our whole family at this new stage of life.

My mother lives at Symphony Manor Assisted Living. She has lived there for 4 years in the Alzheimers care area. I think the activities and outings that the staff at symphony manor do with the residents are great! They go out all the time to shows and restaurants. The care staff & nurses seem highly trained and very kind. The manager/director has been there for for 5 years and is always available for my family at any time. We are grateful that we found Symphony and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great dementia care!

On a parent’s transition from a rehab facility to SYMPHONY MANOR Within a span of 3-4 weeks, reality struck. First a move from a hospital rehab to another quality facility for physical therapy; and my sister and I were on the clock. We knew how impractical it would be for my mom to go home again. The trouble was ?she didn’t. In truth she fully expected to go home, despite her physical decline, and her resistance to adapt her home to allow for “aging in place.” Worse yet, we hadn’t planned ahead and were on no waiting lists anywhere. Our outlook improved with the first interview and tour of Symphony Manor. It continued to improve when we learned that if we acted prudently but swiftly we would be able to admit our mother. For many reasons Symphony Manor was the ideal transition from living at home to living in a different home. Our decision was partly made for us but most important it was consensual all around… and we are very pleased with the outcome.
