My Wife went to Sterling Care in Adelphi for Physical Therapy and Wellness. I would Highly Recommend this facility. All of the Staff were friendly and professional. The facility is very clean. The staff is very responsive to your needs. The Food was also very good. The Physical Therapists are very knowledgeable and caring. The Therapy room and equipment are top notch.

Hillhaven lives up to it's name. I have been a resident here in assisted living since March 2025. I am 88 years old and though I don't have too many meds in my system I still need a lot of help. I'm very grateful for the chance to live here and be comfortable and be cared for and never worry about being cared for and not only that but people go out of their way. I need to mention the staff, Norma and Jennifer right now just go out of their way to do extra things for me. I feel really comfy and respected here.

My mom is a patient at Sterling Care Hillhaven in Adelphi , Maryland her care here has been high standard from the staff . I like to give special accolade to the CNA Noela who treats my mom has if she is one of her own family members. She’s exceptionally attentive ,and compassionate. She’s skill ,knowledgable and truly dedicated. I also extend accolade to the Nurses Director Mr. Ignatius who gave me special permission to stay there doing the snowstorm of 2026, and nurse Funmi that made sure that I was taking care of doing my stay during the snowstorm . My mother Mrs Suttles did short term rehab at Sterling Care Hillhaven and they took really good care of her. She is blind and suffering from a few health issues but the people at Sterling Care got her back on the road to recovery. My mothers nurse Folasade, the nursing director Ignatus, the social worker Ardina and the therapy team of DeVaughn, Erica and Genevieve were ALL wonderful. I needed to feel safe leaving my mother there and I did feel safe each time I left her. And I would use them again if necessary. Thank you to SterlingCare

Visit with several staff worker friends and one current resident i knew in room 106 while I was there in room 108. My mother moved into assistant living at Sterling Care Hillhaven. The staff are professional and have excellent customer service. Upon our arrival each personnel that we engaged with was attentive to our questions and requests. Our family was invited to lunch. The lunch was wholesome and our stomachs were full. The residents welcomed my mother with genuine outreach of love! Later in the evening, my twin brother stated, "Mom likes Hillhaven." Parking is limited. The sign in machine should be talker. Everything else is great. The staff is nice, pleasant and helpful. Building is always clean. Seems to have alot of activities.

I went to see a friend. I quite surprised with the reception I received. From the front door opening automatically on my approach to the receptionist and then the staff, I was very pleased. Everyone I met was willing to assist me to make sure I got to my intended destination. Great job ‘

My mom has been on the memory care init for almost 2 years now, she seems to like it however, her clothes keep disappearing. I have bought her so many replacement clothes and still when I come there gone. Either the staff is stealing her clothes or laundry staff is misplacing them. I have called the front office several times complaining, spoke to the head of the laundry staff still her clothes are gone. Just today, when I visited nothing she had on was hers. I’m so over it and totally pissed off. I’m honestly thinking about speaking to an attorney or someone about this constant situation. How do people steal from the elderly and/or be so careless to lose so many clothes. Over it!!!!

The employees were welcoming , helpful and friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. The center was clean and smelled fresh. The elderly want all needs taken care of in a gentle and kind manner. They want to be surrounded by employees that want to be there to help assist them with a smile and comforting words.The patient that I visited was well cared for and happy to be there. I would definitely recommend this facility for a loved one.

Hillhaven has been a go-to for our loved ones for a few years now. My mom before she passed was like a family member at Hillhaven. She was in and out quite a bit and the service was good all the time. Now my stepfather is a resident there and they have treated him well and is treating him well again. Thank you Hillhaven.

Sterling Care Hillhaven rehabilitation facility in Adelphi, MD, is taking good care of my husband. The nurses are attentive and call me to keep me updated about his status. They try just as hard as I do to get a follow-up appointment with the doctor. I appreciate their time and effort.

My grandmother is here for rehabilitation however no one has been able to tell me the status of her physical therapy. The doctor stated she should have started physical therapy since she’s been here a week and the nurses pretty much said it’s not their job to know. She had an unwitnessed fall 3 days ago and our family is just finding this out after seeing her ankle is swollen. Taken together, I would say it’s difficult to get an accurate update on her progress here. The people seem nice enough but the care provided appears disjointed. Is there no master chart that provides medical staff with what care the patient is receiving in addition to any incidents that’s would affect their wellbeing?

I went with my client to celebrate his wife birthday at Sterling Care Hillhaven for the first time , and I was impressed for the place. The employees was very nice, wellness , helpful and kind, they rooms are clean, and the residents look clean and ready for the day. It's a perfect place for work and staying for a new life start I love it.

Pros: The staff was warm and professional. I appreciated the care and respect they demonstrated for my sister and for all of the patients whose interactions I witnessed. My sister received the amount of therapy and attention she needed. The staff was responsive and communicative and always available. Cons: The ratio of patients to toilets was, in many cases, for rehab, 4 patients to one toilet. Patients with special needs, like colostomies, would find this difficult to impossible. This is my only criticism of an otherwise excellent facility for rehab.

HillHaven now Sterling Care HillHaven was the place I chose for my Dad’s memory care. The nursing staff was stellar i their care of him. They made sure he was clean (he was deathly afraid of getting his hair wet, a common problem with dementia), kept his skin in fantastic shape and kept him involved with the activities. My Dad was there during the height of Covid and they didn’t allow in person visits for a long time. What they did was a weekly video chat on FaceTime they never timed our visits. Dad was unable to grasp that he could talk thru the IPad but I called and we talked on the phone while he looked at me on the screen. As months turned into years, his condition worsened as did his memory, at the end, Hospice of the Chesapeake came in daily and monitored his care and his medications. They said that HillHaven was so outstanding that they really didn’t need to give him his meds but I chose to have one agency run his care as he exited this world. I was blessed that Dad recognized me 4 days before he passed for about 15 minutes and we were able to have a real conversation. I attribute this to the continued and focused activity designed to keep his mind as good as possible. This meant everything to me and talking to Dad he told me he was ready to go and be with my Mom. He passed peacefully on a sunny Sunday morning with caring people all around. They treated him with respect and courtesy while he was alive and with reverence and solemnity when he had passed. I will be forever grateful for the wonderful care and treatment they gave to my Dad for the 3 years he was in memory care. God Bless to the fantastic nurses, techs and care givers. They have earned a spot in my heart forever.

My uncle was transferred to Hillhaven this week. I stopped by to see him and he is in such good spirits. Everyone was so sweet. No one had snappy attitudes. No one was running away from questions. I will continue to update this review as I learn names. I am happy that he is comfortable and being taken care of. He is optimistic now. He has made it through the worst of it and is ready for PT. Thank you all for taking such good care of him.

My loved one was admitted to for rehabilitation. Everyone is so nice and helpful and the faculty is nice and clean as well as the patients rooms. My aunt arrived in time to have dinner and it was hot and my aunt said it was very tasty. I'm confident that my family and I made the right choice in selecting Sterling Care Hillhaven.

Although there is much positive feedback regarding Hillhaven Assisted Living, our personal experience does not mirror these praises. My mother is currently residing there and it's becoming significantly challenging to garner a response or initiate contact with a Doctor or Nurse to discuss crucial health matters. Last week, it took in excess of 7 calls to coordinate a basic medical procedure. This was particularly unsettling given that the procedure was an initial topic of discussion with the nurse on the day my mother was admitted for rehabilitation. We've been trying to gain assistance with an arguably graver medical concern, but after two calls and as many assurances today, there has been no action. The possibility of entrusting Hillhaven with my mother's long-term care was under consideration, but our faith in their ability to care for those who cannot independently stand up for themselves has waned. I intend to reach out to the patient advocate tomorrow and will provide an update on this post to keep readers informed about the outcome.

This place is amazing the staff are so supportive and my Dad received the best of Care. My Dad John passed away September 7, 2022 and I was on my way from California and the were so sweet and had a staff member sit with my Dad so he would not be by himself. I will always be Thankful for Melody making it so easy for me to make arrangements for my Dad to move from the rehab unit over to his apartment in the assisted living area. The provided the furniture for my Dad and made sure he had everything he needed. The staff was there to assist my Dad with all his Acts of Daily living and contacted me weekly on how he was doing.
