My Mother Betty is entering her second year at Amber Meadow and has never been happier. The staff have gone above and beyond helping to find her when she wandered off into the community as well as assisting her with the occasional fall. Living at Amber Meadow, my husband who passed away would be smiling knowing I am in a nice place! The manager and his Directors are always open to seniors needs. and easy to talk to After much research I knew this was for me! Three floors of various sized suites, lovely housekeeping staff and porters who keep things very clean and pleasant. You have 3 meals every day in the dining room prepared by a Chef and great Kitchen crew & waitstaff who all care to do their best! Around the building are parklike grounds, walkways & a pond with a water fountain, benches to stop and rest or just enjoy nature! There is a beauty shop to get pampered in and private care right next door! There is also provincial homecare. There are lots of activities, lunch out weekly, venues to visit, music & entertainers brought in and a great bus driver Mon.-Fri. to take you to appointments & shopping. In all a nice place to live!

Amber Meadow is a wonderful place for people who have come to the point in their life that they no longer want to or are able to continue to keep up a home without help. If they choose to live there, they will have three prepared meal choices, rooms or suites that suit their needs, light housekeeping, and laundry done if that option is chosen…along with many more amenities. There will be many other residents of the building to make new friends with and no shortage of things to do. Personally I have found the staff to be totally open to questions and requests. They really care for the residents living there and go over and above to help deal with any issues that come up. I would definitely choose Amber Meadow again given what I have seen and been part of during my relative's time there.

We love the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Amber Meadow. The facility is beautiful and clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. Moving Dad from Ontario to Manitoba was stressful but Jeff and Sharon were there to answer any questions and provided support along the way. Activities are plentiful and the food is great. There is peace of mind knowing that Dad is a member of this caring community.

I have been working as the mobility (exercise) instructor with the residents at Amber Meadow for a few months. It is such a positive, friendly and welcoming place. Everyone always has a smile on their face and brings fun to our classes. I always look forward to the next time I will be there.

the staff are excellent and accommodating. security before they lock up for the evening is wide open. making new residents feel welcome needs some work, especially for seating at meal time. It can be awkward for new residents. for the most part, I find the food good and appreciate that I don't have to cook or cleanup. when a problem is brought to the staff, they try their best to solve it. life is what you make it and if you get involved in the activities and what is offered, living at Amber Meadow can be a good place to live. This is a Home, which means everybody watches out for each other, it's a community, my brothers keeper. My mother moved here after my father passed away in April. I cannot say enough kind words about the staff here. They have gone above and beyond to make my mother comfortable and happy. I feel quite relieved that my mother is safe and well looked after, especially since I don't live in the area. I would not hesitate to recommend Amber Meadow to anyone looking for an assisted living facility.

I was very impressed with looking around Amber Meadows. There are a lot of activities if you want to partake. I particularly liked the outings out of the building like going for lunch or touring a museum. There was something for everyone. I was impressed with the tasty lunch. There was time in-between courses to chat with people at my table. I found the public areas clean and tidy. I'm hoping that my mom will decide to move in so I will feel that she will be looked after and have plenty to do.

My 95 year young mom has been living here for 3 1/2 years. The staff is exelent, they support my mom above and beyond. There is all ways activelies to be involved in. The dining is second to none exelent. Amber Meadows is a great place to live.

I moved in with my pets. Management has been very accommodating for pet owners. The park-like setting is a peaceful escape when needed. You can garden on your patios/ balconies. Management are approachable, pleasant and helpful. They call everyone by name. Serving and cleaning staff- sometimes one and the same -are pleasant , helpful and know your name and soon your dining preferences. Meals take some getting used to and - other than Christmas- do not look like the picture on website. Nor can you order whatever. A menu is on your table daily and that alone is your choices. You may not even change up cottage cheese for chedar if you choose fruit salad and don’t like cottage cheese. Bearing in mind you are reading a “look good “ sales brochure and you are on the fence re moving I would recommend a staycation to see if you are ready to move. If you are looking at brochures or website remember that these are sale product so you will not see a meal like the one pictured. Nor will you be able to order anything other than on the 2 pages in the menu for that day. . Second choice is a leftover so may not be available when servers get to you. Lots of room to park and garage space to rent if available.

My aunt moved to Amber Meadow recently after suffering a stroke. She is finding the adjustment to her new situation difficult, but the staff and community at Amber Meadow have been very understanding and helpful and she says they couldn't be nicer. The personal alarm reassures me of her safety while she is on her own in her suite and the transportation has worked for her medical appointments. I am hopeful that as she finds her new normal she will enjoy some of the other amenities Amber Meadow offers.

Amber Meadow is my happy place. I was brought here by my kids in May and I did not need any persuading to move here. It is a welcoming community offering comfortable living. I love the community here of very kind, compassionate, caring, understanding and loving people and seniors. Shout out to everyone working to make this community an excellent place to live, especially Jeffrey, Jogin, Sharon, Almira, Marc, Marciano, and Sandra, and all of housekeeping and dining room and kitchen staff who are always ready to care about all of our needs 24/7. The facility is in an ideal location, what with its proximity to hospital, my doctors, shopping centers, my banks, and even my kids and their family and my sisters and family. I love the clean building, my suite, beautiful outdoor and peaceful surrounding. I also love the chef-prepared nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My days are happy days with on-site activities and games, being driven in the shuttle bus to my appointments and regular outings. Also my brother-in-law and his son came to visit me here from the Philippines and were very impressed and said I could not have found a better place. I enjoy living here and am very appreciative of the positive experience.

My mom has been a resident in the Amber Meadows Community for almost six years. She is quite comfortable in her one bedroom apartment and has thoroughly enjoyed her summers out on her deck and the patio at the front entrance. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and informative. They ensure questions are answered and requests for a wellness check are followed through in a timely manner. The building and grounds are well-maintained thus making it safe and pleasing for all. Residents are welcomed to participate in the activities and entertainment. Residents are encouraged to bring forward new ideas for community events and activities, changes to the meals and whatever else they may like to have in the community. I am very appreciative to the staff that my mom feels very safe in the community and I can count on the staff to follow up if need be. Thanks very much to all staff at Amber Meadows. The staff are extremely friendly, responsive, and attentive, often going out of their way to ensure that she is comfortable. Accommodation is excellent, house keeping and good food makes it a pleasure to live here. A knowledgeable management team will listen and provide the help we need. The entertainment offered is very good but limited. However the management is willing to let any resident forward an idea for discussion and implementation.

I am writing this review on Amber Meadow because I feel it is important for this Senior Living Community and its staff to be recognized and well-deserving of a 5-star review. Special thanks goes out to Sharon, Sales Manager as well as to Amira in the office who answered my first call to Amber Meadow in order to obtain information on the facility. Amira was upbeat and encouraging, extremely pleasant and very helpful in providing me with information as well as doing a follow-up phone call. We requested a tour and were soon contacted by Sharon, Sales Manager in order to schedule an appointment. Without us asking, Sharon offered to email us floor plans with associated costs and details on the available suites. During our tour, Sharon was extremely informative and answered all of our many questions. We found her to be patient, very caring and understanding and we never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision. She was very knowledgeable and sincere which we very much appreciated. We enjoyed a delicious and nutritious lunch, all cooked in-house. We had a young gentleman by the name of Karlos as our server. He was very polite, calm and extremely pleasant. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are spotless and well designed to maximize space. We were surprised at all the on-site activities, regular outings and amenities that would certainly provide a senior with the most comfortable life in this Senior community. There actually isn't anything that a senior would require that isn't already here. It was a pleasure to have met Sharon and Amira and other staff members. They greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome which is exactly what is most important to allow a senior to call Amber Meadow their home.

Now Im back here living because I find the following: - all facilities are clean, - all staff members are efficient and friendly, - the building is beautifully and architecturally design with yellow paint, -the location is close to Garden city, -the food is good_ entertainment is provided, - transportation is provided, - I’m happy living with my co- residents

I recently visited and helped my sister who has moved into Amber Meadows. I don't have enough adjectives to praise Jeff and his staff for the care they have bestowed on my sister who is physically impaired and having a difficult time adjusting to communal living. Every staff member was so helpful, knowelegeable, and attentive to our every need. It's a week I will never forget, and my best memmories during this bleak, wintery, covid enviorment are the staff in Amber Meadows, who who are warm, caring and gracious. My mother and Aunt live there. I spent this Christmas at Amber Meadows with my mother. I was amazed at the compassion and caring shown to one another by the staff and residents. It reminded me of the camaraderie that is shown in my rural Mb. community. Obviously, people like to complain. The meals are okay. The best way to describe them is "Not as good as my mommies cooking (or my wife's), but a lot better than I would feed myself on a daily basis." Although I must admit that if I have to get up at 7:30 for breakfast, their is no real incentive to retire. It's not a prison, so therefore the "security" may appear lax, however, the "inmates" and staff appear to monitor themselves. They are vigilant over seer's to those in need. Everyone residing there is there for a reason. Be it the loss of a spouse, can not live independently (or chose not to), or any other reason, they appeared to have formed their own little loving community.

If I could rate this establishment a 0/0 stars, I would. This is without a doubt the most vile and disturbing place I have ever step foot in. It smells absolutely disgusting and don't even get me started on management. They are rude and condescending. Especially [name removed]. They are extremely unprofessional and not accommodating what's so ever with new members of the team. I witnessed rats scurrying around the kitchen and I'm not talking about the residents! There are roaches too btw.
