My partner spent a little over 3 years at Bridges of Sudbury and it was a wonderful experience. He was suffering from Alzheimer’s and needed Memory Care. I had no longer been able to care for him at home. After a few months of adjustment he began to enjoy it very much. It is divided into 3 neighborhoods and each neighborhood eats in the dining room at various tables together! The food is very good! We were able to walk outdoors for the first 2 years and the last year we did it by wheelchair! There are great activities in the community room for all 3 neighborhoods 2 times a day and they often have live music! Everyone addresses each resident in passing so there is a very good feeling of community!

The caregiver support group as well as the free dementia education sessions have been a godsend during these stressful times for me as caregiver for my husband. Kristin Johnson is so compassionate and understanding when listening and helping us all deal with the many issues that are discussed on our roller coaster like journey. Thank you for providing this much needed guidance.

My mother has been at Bridges in Sudbury for over a year now, and I feel this community is an outstanding place for those who are in need of memory-assisted care. Bridges creates a welcoming environment where everyone is treated like family and with respect. The staff is special and dedicated to making people feel at ease and supported and their commitment to creating that warm and caring environment is evident in their interactions with their residents. They go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels comfortable engaging in daily activities and strive to create a stimulating environment which contributes to their overall wellbeing and happiness. The community has a picturesque outdoor environment where residents are welcome to engage in gardening activities, enhancing the feeling of home. Bridges at Sudbury truly stands out as an exceptional choice for memory-assisted living due to the home-like environment, dedicated staff, engaging programs and beautiful setting. It is a place where residents are truly made to feel cared for with the utmost respect and dignity.

Our Dad was living in his apartment with full-time Aides mostly isolated from the community at his independent/assisted living complex. We made the difficult decision to move him to a memory care unit and found Bridges was the best fit for his needs. He was able to enjoy the daily activities (especially music) and the staff was attentive and excellent with the residents. Thank you Bridges for taking care of Dad and helping us navigate the complex issues of Dementia and care of loved ones.

Sharon Loveridge has a calming presence with the families that she works with. She provides just the right amount of dementia education. Sharon speaks to both the care-partner and the person with dementia with respect and clarity. She clearly contributes to the mission of Bridges !

My father was not doing well at his former memory care facility and was declining rapidly. The staff there insisted it was time to hire a full-time aide until he could be moved to a nursing home. I felt strongly that was not the right move for him and quickly began looking for a better solution. I reached out to a highly respected health care worker for advice. She suggested I take a tour at Bridges at Sudbury, so I did. During the tour, it honestly seemed too good to be true. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, and activities were all so incredible. I kept thinking, this has got to be for show. Well, I was wrong. Bridges is everything they told me it would be and much more! The staff genuinely enjoy being there and they care for the residents as if they are family. They get to know each one of the residents as individuals and treat them as such. I was only skeptical because of the experience at the last facility, but the people of Bridges, each and every one of them, have proven to be outstanding caregivers, companions, and friends.

I tried to take care of my dad when he first developed dementia. He wanted to stay at home, but it became too unsafe for him. He first tried assisted living at a different facility, but he actually got worse there- as he really needed memory care. After moving into Bridges, he seems so much more alert and also so happy. They keep him physically and mentally active and it has made a huge difference! After his first couple of weeks at Bridges, I asked him how they were treating him? and his response was, like a king!. And while his dementia is still slowly progressing, the quality of his life is great. I am so happy with Bridges and their wonderful staff, who are giving my dad such good care.

Almost two years ago, my family had to make the difficult decision to find a place for Dad to live once his health and dementia worsened. We are so grateful to have found Bridges by Epoch in Sudbury. The entire facility consists of administration, aides, nurses, kitchen staff, activities director and staff and even maintenance that are ALL wonderful! Dad thrived in his new environment. Every staff member took the time to know Dad personally, including his likes and dislikes with food and things he enjoyed doing. They always went above and beyond to make him happy and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience for Dad, and for us as his family, knowing that he received the care and attention he deserved. And at the end of Dad's journey, absolutely everyone made his last days easier on all of us with the love and support they showed us. When staff members are there to hug and support you, with tears in their eyes because they cared about your loved one so much, you know you found the right place! Thank you to everyone at Bridges that became a second family to Dad and us. You will all be fondly remembered as living angels for the work that you do!

As our dad’s health and memory declined, we made the difficult decision to find the right care for him. We were blessed to find the Bridges of Sudbury, which became our dad’s home for eight months. The care dad received there was nothing short of amazing. Bridges is truly a special place that is staffed by the most caring people you could imagine. I often describe Bridges as a cross between a high-end resort and a great medical facility with an abundance of fun events, field trips and opportunities to make new friends”which dad quickly did. Bridges is a place where dignity, respect, compassion and love are at the forefront of everything they do. If you’re looking for the right place for you loved one that will consistently exceed your expectations, Bridges of Sudbury is that place.

My dad was a resident at Bridges by Epoch in Sudbury for four years, I am so grateful he was there. He passed 11 days ago and the care he received was excellent. But, what was truly extraordinary was the love he (and I) received. Chris, the director, has assembled an amazing staff who all made my dad feel like the a very big man. The activities director, chef, wellness director, nurses, and all who fed and cared for him did so with love and gave him the dignity he deserved. Everyone was accessible when they were needed. They were truly his second family. I will miss my visits to Bridges. Thank you so much.

Our mom has been a resident at Bridges by Epoch in Sudbury for several months. We chose Bridges for several reasons: its singular focus on memory care, the smaller size of the facility, its "neighborhood" setup, and its caring staff. We have been beyond impressed, especially with the staff. She has a consistent set of caregivers who know her and look out for her, the administration is accessible, thoughtful and keeps us up to date on happenings at the facility, the chef is terrific and the food his staff provides is high quality, and the activities staff has a full schedule of wonderful activities and events designed specifically for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. Bridges was also very responsive and easy to deal with prior to placement, during the her initial evaluation and move in process. The facility itself is warm, inviting, and clean, with a beautiful outdoor space that we enjoy spending time in with our mom. We're very happy with Bridges and it gives us peace of mind knowing that our mom is being cared for in such a warm, professional setting.

My wife has been a resident at Bridges by EPOCH at Sudbury for almost five months now, and I can honestly say she is receiving all the care that is now so necessary. She is completely safe, properly nourished, properly (and carefully) medicated, and as engaged in stimulating activities as she chooses to be. On all those dimensions, I, as her former primary caregiver, had been failing, truth to tell. Now our whole family has the relief of knowing she is in very good hands.

My mom was in the Longfellow neighborhood at Bridges by Epoch at Sudbury for the past 3 years. We chose Bridges because of the beautiful, bright and welcoming environment and the warm, friendly and caring staff. We were impressed with 24 hour nursing coverage and the possibility of PRN medication which was not available at a lot of other memory care facilities that we looked at. The outdoor courtyards are beautiful and we spent a lot of time outside with her during our visits. We were very happy with her care at Bridges. My mom was able to be on hospice care as well while staying at Bridges, and her passing was peaceful. We were so comforted by the Bridges aides, nurses, and the food staff when she passed. You know that your mom has been not only well cared for but also loved when the staff cries with you. Thank you for making this very difficult time easier for our family.

Having a lifetime of experience in both healthcare and the culinary world, I am impressed by the high quality of care, education, and food that Bridges by Epoch provides. Alicia Seaver, Vice President of Memory Care Operations and Certified Memory Impairment Specialist, as well as Dr. Brent P. Forester and Dr. Paolo Cassano have provided great webinars on brain health. Sarah Turcotte, Area Community Liaison, has been a tremendous support for me and Heart To Home Meals.

If you are reading this, my heart goes out to you because chances are you on the very difficult path of memory loss with a loved one. I was VERY nervous to place my father in memory care assisted living, but it became clear that his needs were becoming greater than what I could provide for at home. To my great relief and joy, his quality of life vastly improved when he moved to Bridges at Sudbury. My father is cared for so beautifully here - not only his physical needs, but also socially and emotionally. The staff has really gotten to know him as an individual and I even feel supported and welcomed as a partner in his care. The staff members are so warm and dedicated. The communication is great. My dad enjoys the food! The daily scheduled activities are engaging and keep him busy and even trying new things (like painting and chair volleyball!). His favorite activities are the wonderful musicians who frequently perform, the outings to lunch, coffee or ice cream, and the therapy doggies. It really is a wonderful place and it means so much to me to recommend Bridges at Sudbury. Best wishes to you on this journey.

I am happy to say that when my mom cut the ribbon as the first resident to move into this new facility in the summer of 2018, I never thought our family's experience with Bridges in Sudbury would be at the same level as it is today. As a home care nurse for a local agency, I have been into most of the assisted living and memory care facilities in the surrounding area. I have a very high bar set for my mom and Bridges in Sudbury has exceeded my expections. While my mom has had a slow and steady decline in her almost 4 years at Bridges, her journey has been supported by the amazing staff, many of which have been there since the day she walked in. She is well cared for socially, emotionally and physically. She enjoys the frequent entertainers that come to perform for the residents, loves the top notch food prepared by Chef Gary and most of all, she is content and safe in her environment. The staff care for her as one of their own. Communication from Bridges staff has always been excellent from the amazing Dawn B., Wellness Director, to the Abbott nursing and support staff who reach to me when my mom needs a new nightgown or personal care items. They note subtle changes in Mom and can identify when a medical intervention needs to take place. They handled COVID with amazing grace and strength, despite the enormous stress placed on them. I could not see my mom for 3 months because of COVID and although it was the most difficult 3 months, I knew her needs were being met, she was safe, and that I would see her on the other side of the COVID shutdown. If your family is at this difficult juncture in life when you have to start looking for a place for your loved one with memory loss, I highly suggest scheduling a visit and tour at Bridges by Epoch in Sudbury!

Speaking with and thanking Cindy Wirth recently, I said I believe you are the finest executive I’ve ever known. My wife, Maureen, has been at Bridges just over a year, and with her five children and many friends who have come to visit, we are endlessly amazed at how wonderful Bridges by Epoch at Sudbury is. Although the facility is new, modern and immaculate, it is the people who really shine. There is an endless and flawless execution of everything all the time. And, this is what is endless: always caring about every aspect of my wife’s well-being; being on top of everything every hour of every day; showing respect for and really love being with my wife, and letting her life shine through with dignity, devotion and humor. I’ve thought about writing a tribute such as this for some time and I am honored to have a few moments to pass onto others a small token of the love we all have for Bridges and those who so seemingly orchestrate a wonderful and dignified life for my wife. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. No signs are needed to announce this once yearly tribute. Every day at Bridges by Epoch at Sudbury begins and ends with a celebratory acknowledgement that we’re going to make this the best day of your life’. Thank you and God bless everyone at Bridges.

Moving Mom from an independent living home to a memory care facility was a big adjustment for everyone, but Bridges made the transition easy with their expertise and compassion. Mom quickly became one of the group and is often too busy with all the fun daily activities to talk on the phone! The way they adjusted to the pandemic, keeping everyone safe and entertained was amazing and the staff is so warm and responsive to all of their residents. We have been thrilled with the care she receives at Bridges and knowing that she is engaged with friends and activities means the world to us.

After our Mom suffered an injury at the residence she was staying at we had to find another quickly. I'd recently attended a seminar at Emerson Hospital presented by the Manager of Bridges by EPOCH at Sudbury. My family visited and found it to be lovely and welcoming. We've experienced a 180 degree difference in care. The Management and Staff are wonderful. The meals are great. The grounds are beautiful, with lovely gardens to walk around and sit outside. It is closer to our homes and we're able to visit regularly.

We did an extensive search for the right place for Memory Care. We tried another, and they do NOT compare. The staff at Bridges know and understand Memory Care, that is their specialty, it is not mixed with other living styles. They get it. The staff is friendly, warm, and compassionate. I have high expectations, and every request has been met. The facility is light, bright, and immaculate. That is tough to find. They want to please, and we are happy. Great to trust and know our loved one is cared for with quality and dignity.
