A family member was stricken with a ruptured brain aneurysm in March. After life-saving measures were taken at two Boston area hospitals she was released to Cedar View for badly needed Physical Therapy while she also regained cognitive function. Cedar View was willing to work with the family in a plan that focused on patient rehab over a fairly long indeterminate future. The staff and management at Cedar View are excellent.

My mother is a patient in Rehab post Nuero surgery working with physical therapy to gain her strength and balance as well as her independence back. She’s working hard and enjoys how much cedar view staff encourage her to do so.

I recently spent a few weeks at this facility, and I am eternally grateful for all aspects of care I received. When I arrived, I was in excruciating pain and could barely walk. I was extremely nervous, but was instantly put at ease by the friendliness of the staff. The treatment I received by every person I came in contact with was incredible. The nurses, the cnas, housekeepers, administration- the list goes on. Each person took the time to make sure I was recognized, and that my needs were met. Medical treatment and rehabilitation are ostensibly why a patient comes to the facility, but hospitality is of equal importance. This is what truly propels a person to heal. I was in an extremely vulnerable state, quickly replaced with hope and optimism thanks to the genuinely caring and compassionate team. The nurses were efficient, professional and attentive. The call lights were answered quickly, and always with a smiling face. The therapists were top notch; patient, motivational and effective. I went to cedarview on a stretcher, and left barely requiring the use of a cane to walk. Thank you to all who made my recovery such a pleasant experience!

Mom 87 yo old mother stayed at Cedar View for 10 days . The staff was attentive to her needs and quick to respond . The staff was extremely friendly ,supportive and knowledgeable. They made me feel confident knowing that my mother was in good hands upon leaving her . They stride to make each day as pleasant as possible by offering daily activities and the staff s cheerfulness The staff went over everything clearly and thoroughly so in her return home she would be safe by setting up PT for her next day in her home .

My mom just got there a 1 & 1/2 days ago so a little early to rate but so far I have no complaints. Room is clean, staff are attentive & nice. Got there this morning at 9:45 and my mom had eaten her breakfast, she was out of bed and in the bathroom, she was dressed, hair combed, and her bed was made, and had been evaluated by PT and was using a walker on her own when she came out of the bathroom and got herself into a chair. I was happy to see her up and about! Thank you for taking care of my Mom!!

My Uncle was sent to Cedar View after a short stay in the hospital. He declined a short while after he arrived there . My Uncle was then put on end of life care . I have nothing but great things to say about Cedar View . The staff was wonderful and caring . The place itself was always kept up and clean . My Uncle was treated with such kindness and great care . My uncle is here for PT and OT for a hip surgery; only on day two and already staff seem very attentive to him and his roommate. Madella was a wonderful nurse who checked us in on Friday and Sam who did his therapy assessment was very helpful and was genuinely concerned about my uncle being successful here!

my mom had such a wonderful experience the first time she had to go to rehab at Cedar View that when she had to do a another rehabilitation term she requested to go back to Cedar View. She has been treated with kindness and respect. My mother, Lorraine, was discharged from Cedar View in Methuen today. She had a sprained ankle from a minor fall and she was in rehab for just under 3 weeks. This is the first time (in a long time) that I actually had no worries about her being in rehab. My mother was very well taken care of by everyone on the staff! From the moment you walk into the door, you are warmly welcomed with a smile. We are impressed by how accommodating, friendly, and professional everyone is at Cedar View. The nurses and aides are wonderful and are very attentive and quick to get to their patients . My mom never had to wait for anything. The rehab facility and PT staff are exceptional. Also, my mom raved about the food each and every day. We have never experienced such a well organized discharge. When I arrived at noon time to pick up my mother, her meds and care instructions were all packaged up ahead of time. We were out the door and in the car in less than 10 minutes. My mother and I would like to thank everyone at Cedar View for being the best around! We highly recommend Cedar View to anybody who is in need of rehab.

Worst place for rehab. They do no more rehab than a hospital stay does. 5 minutes of rehab a day? If that. That will really help.

Facility is good and clean, staff is nice once you get to know them. A downside is that it's very noisy from staff in the hallways and other patients' blaring TVs, so I had to shut my mother's door to get some peace for her. Not crazy about the idea that she had to share her bathroom with three other people. Physical therapy helped my mother a lot and I think she'll do fine going forward.
