Newbury Court “ we can t wait to move-in this fall. In the seven years since we joined the Newbury Court waiting list, we participated in many resident programs, events, workouts and more. During our overnight trial stay last fall, we explored about every part of the handsome, well-designed facility, and we participated in an ecumenical church service. As in the events, we found residents easy to meet, happy to be there, and delightful to us as new acquaintances. We were invited into several units; all were quite attractive. A longtime friend who was first an independent living resident had moved to the memory care wing where we met comfortably with him. We noted the attractive setting and supportive staff there. Over time we have eaten dozens of dining room meals. We like the variety and the tasty quality of the multi-course dinner specials, that change daily. We also appreciate the long list of additional regularly available apps, entrees, sides, and desserts. This past spring we signed up for a unit with two bedrooms, a living room, and den. We have found the management outreach and pro-active support to be outstanding. They expedited implementing our choices for wall colors, floor coverings, and for customizing kitchen walls and counter. Moreover, management have consistently, since 2019, provided very helpful answers and support throughout our process.

I am a new resident and I felt immediately at home. Newbury Court is warm and welcoming, and the wonderful staff and residents do everything to help you adjust. There are many more activities here than I’ve seen in the other communities I researched. The location is absolutely beautiful and close enough to enjoy Boston as well as the Concord area. I know I made the right decision.

I'm delighted to recommend Newbury Court as a wonderful non-profit senior living community (CCRC). I've lived here for 14 years and can honestly say I've enjoyed every day. At my fingertips are all the things needed to have a healthy, happy retirement. I enjoy the company of other happy residents (who all appreciate the wonderful place this is), an immense choice of delicious and healthful meals, a comfortable and well-maintained apartment with all the quiet or privacy one could desire. In addition, -- for socializing and making new friends -- lots of cultural events of all sorts, and a well equipped gym and pool with lots of fitness classes and outdoor trails and activities in and around beautiful Concord. All this, plus some features that make me feel especially comfortable and secure: an exceptionally friendly, helpful, kind staff, and all the facilities you might need sometimes -- home help, assisted living, skilled nursing, and a memorycare unit -- for any special care. Newbury Court is perhaps the friendliest and most welcoming place where my wife and I have ever lived. The staff is unfailingly kind, competent, and helpful. We have found our fellow residents to be equally welcoming, coming from interesting backgrounds with rich life experiences to share. Meal menus are varied and delicious. We highly recommend Newbury Court for the aging and young in spirit!

Patsy and I are coming up on first year at Newbury Court, and the quality of life here assures us that we made the right decision. First, the very warm welcome that we have received from the other residents has been tremendous. When our apartment was ready for us to move in I sent Chris Sintros an email recommending that the entire marketing staff be nominated to receive the Edward W. Deming Award for quality and excellence. Total quality management and communication with all of the residents is a cornerstone of the organization's approach to management. We looked at quite a few assisted living centers in the greater metropolitan area and none came close to offering the quality of life you will find here. The proximity to Emerson Hospital, the quality of meals every night, underground parking for the residents are features that make this address the place to call home. We made the right choice, so will you.

This place, Newbury Court turned out to be greater than my expectations. With it's stuff members who are always willing to help, wonderful environment and campus that are well-kept, amazing number of well organized and interesting programs, and the last but not the least are the residents, most of whom are outgoing, interesting/intelligent and kind people. I came originally from Japan, then from Minnesota after living there for 46 years. It doesn't matter where we come from, because we are all welcome. I play violin solos in the chapel, but also in a trio and quartet groups. Less than 5 months here, I feel well adjusted and welcomed!! Yuko Ninomiya Heberlein

We moved here in April of 2025, and were immediately welcomed by other residents with dinner invitations and offers of help; we have continued to make new friends. We have especially enjoyed the fitness center, exercise classes, and live music about 3 times per week, as well as a hand drumming class and a singing group. We really appreciate the "all-hands" meeting every Wednesday morning where staff present plans and problems, and residents can get any questions answered. The food is delicious, with several good vegetarian options each meal. Dinners are big social events here! People are always willing to accept a dinner invitation. There is a large, beautiful conservation area adjacent to Newbury Ct that lets us take a 1 hour walk through woods past the Sudbury River, along a large field where bobolinks nest in spring, and along a glacial esker. The Bruce Freeman Rail Trail is about 1/2 mile away. I look forward to participating in more classes and studios (painting, pottery, woodshop) as I am less able to do other activities outside of Newbury Court. We are not finding our 2-bedroom apartment at all restricting given all the activities and social areas elsewhere - it was nice to simplify life with downsizing.

Jane and I just moved into Newbury Court about a month ago. President and CEO Chris Sintros has set a very positive tone with the employees which radiates throughout the employees and resident population. We had investigated about a dozen other retirement communities before applying to live at Newbury Court. We decided to apply because we had friends there, they feature regularly scheduled events and have ongoing series of various programs. We also enjoy the warm and welcoming community and enjoy the top-notch food in either of the two main dining rooms, the spectacular views of the Sudbury River, the pool, and the fitness center. We love walking on the nature paths and getting a lot of information from the knowledgeable concierges. Another feature we enjoy is the indoor parking and the country markets. The maids thoroughly clean our suite every week and launder our towels and sheets.

When I arrived at Newbury Court, I was battling the challenges of Parkinson’s disease and feeling anything but my best. Fast forward two years, and I feel like a new person. This transformation is mainly due to the incredible services here, from invigorating exercise classes to personalized physical and occupational therapy. But it’s not just the therapies that have made all the difference; the warmth and support of the community have made all the difference. The incredibly friendly and stimulating atmosphere is genuinely nurturing and exciting. And let me tell you, the food is nothing short of gourmet”I'd rate it five stars! Plus, the stunning landscape that overlooks the Sudbury River provides a picturesque backdrop that enhances this wonderful experience. I can’t imagine a better place to live

Newbury Court has been the best thing for me. I moved here a few months ago, feeling immediately at home. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.Everyone from residents to staff are so welcoming. Already I have new and old friends to go on walks with, have dinner with in the dining room where the chef serves an amazing variety of meal choices, attend exercise classes and special interest groups. I'm more active now than I was in my house, so many activities from which to choose. Musical performances, lectures providing continuing education. Just because I'm 84 doesn't mean that I can't learn anything new. I'm very happy here. Furthermore, my daughter doesn't have to worry about the safety of my living alone in a house, no worries about taking care of a house.

My Mom has resided at Newbury Court for quite sometime. Previously she enjoyed exercise classes and outings in the van with her husband Wayne as well as walks outdoors amidst the well established paths and beautiful gardens. My Mom and her husband eat lunch and dinner in the lovely dining areas filled with a warm atmosphere friendly professional staff many choices on the menus and delicious food. She got her hair done frequently and her pedicures in the salon where they do a great job for her and make her feel better. Her health has declined in the last year due to a bad fall. She is now in a wheelchair and has other health issues. I recently moved up to Massachusetts to be closer to my Mom and family. I see how friendly from the minute one walks in the door Lea sp? Lindsey sp? Are so friendly helpful loving fun and have great attitudes positive energy and intelligence. I still get lost in the bldg and they point me in the right direction lol. The dining hall is wonderful I see now why my Mom talked about it a lot. The staff work so hard to accommodate us especially if we have late unexpected visits for dinner and they scramble to help us. The servers are so nice helpful friendly and excellent at what they do. The food is fantastic!!! I take my Mom outdoors some visits and she enjoys seeing the flowers and their beauty. She is getting her hair done more frequently and Nancy we thankyou for reminding my Mom when it slips her mind at times. Christine is doing my Mom's pedicure again and she looks like she's coming along. My Mom spent years with the nurses primarily Lisa and the CNA s to bring her her medications and extra help when she or Wayne were not feeling well. Now they've had to get extra care at home. They are doing the best they can . Our entire family thank Newbury Court and staff for giving such a beautiful wonderful place for them to live. I'm sure that my Mom and Wayne do too. We truly appreciate all of you. Jill

The staff are fabulous. The residents are well educated with interesting, varied careers. The food is fabulous (unfortunately the hot fudge sauce is destroying my boyish figure). The facilities include an indoor pool, a gym, a work working shop, an artists' studio, etc. etc. There are numerous programs, lectures, exercise classes, etc. every day. We couldn't be happier that we moved here (and I am a cynical, skeptical, old lawyer - I have trouble reconciling that self-image with my feeling toward this facility). It is great. And some free advice - sometimes you should do something before you have to do it.

Rivercrest at Newbury Court has recently completed a renovation, and while I expected to be impressed by the updated aesthetics of this skilled nursing center, I was even more excited about the heartfelt interactions I saw between residents and the staff members. I have been working in the healthcare field my entire career and Rivercrest is a top notch center offering short term rehab as well as nursing home care. Very nicely done!!
