My mom was discharged today,this was here second time here at Overlook for rehabilitation and what they accomplished with my mom…. she is walking and its a miracle!!! and we can't say enough good compliments .The staff is wonderful kind compassionate and caring, the rehab is excellent as is the food! Your loved ones are perfectly safe under their care! My mom also wanted me to mention her nurse Leslie " johny on the spot" and I couldn't agree more!

Ive been a very happy resident of the Overlook for 3+ years, and for many reasons I am very glad I made the decision to live here. Now at age 84, I have been able to continue an active daily life, along with many new friends and neighbors , while receiving all the benefits, features and services of this remarkable senior living community.

We have been looking into continuing care communities for the past five years. About two years ago we decided to look in the Worcester area in Central Massachusetts and found The Overlook. We visited Charlton and The Overlook campus and were impressed with what we saw. Soon after we began meeting with marketing and decided that the Hawthorne floor plan was best for us. When one became available we are able to include our own preferences into the remodel. Our home sold quickly and three months later, January 2020, we moved into this really nice life care community.The reasons we moved to The Overlook, first and foremost, was the staff and residents were friendly and welcoming. They greeted us with welcoming smiles and engaged us in conversation. A second was the level of support we received from Marketing through the long decision-making, home-selling, and downsizing process. A third was the overall cost to buy in and the monthly fees were the best we had found for life care communities. Lastly, we grew up in central Massachusetts; we met at college in Worcester; and our careers in public education were in central Massachusetts. In many ways, moving to The Overlook was coming home to an area we knew with lots of offerings.

My husband was a patient at Overlook after surgery. He was there for 2 weeks. The staff was wonderful, and the care he received was the best ever!! The rooms are private and were cleaned everyday. The bathroom was huge with full access to anyone who is handicapped. Should anyone have to make the discussion to choise a rehab for a loved one, you will not be disappointed in this facility.

I have been a resident in Independent Living for over four years. Life here has exceeded every expectation. My apartment is full of windows and has great light in every season. The Fitness Center is just two floors down; the large Performing Arts Center gets raves about its acoustics from those performing there. We love it as well, and there are programs that stimulate our brains, our bodies and hearts in several other venues in this large facility. The residents reflect a culture of caring towards one another each day. Dining in the two restaurants is always a treat each day, with numerous menu choices offered. Free transportation is available if wanted. This is my forever home, where I feel safe, engaged and entertained. I continue to travel outside of Charlton to visit friends and family, and l have no worries, knowing all is well at home.

This is a very large facility with housing for different stages of elder care.It is located on top of a large hill with a very nice view of both sunsets and sunrises (hence the name Overlook).I havent eaten there but my friend who is stay here gave me a tour of the facility and the dining area looks impressive! They really seem to do their best for the patients and residents here!

I have been employed at the Masonic Health Center for 6 1, 2 years in dining services. I am so thankful for all of the opportunities my bosses have given me. Ken & Cynthia really care about the well being of their employees and provide their staff with the tools needed to succeed within this company. I could not have asked for a better first job. I would recommend if you ever have an opportunity to work here... its the place to be!

The dining experience here was exceptional! My dad was hospitalized and spent a week at the Masonic Health Overlook in Charlton Ma as part of his after care plan. He is very particular with his food and the dining staff made his stay much easier. He raved about how the food was great. My family accredited this to one particular manager named Ken. Ken provided our family with one less worry during this difficult time. I am aware of Kens great dinning managment as my daughter has worked for Overlook and has expressed her satisfaction with working under him. I just didnt realize that would flow over into patient care and recovery. Thank you very much Ken!

A star among its peers, this facility allows a late life full of activities and necessary care to the extent desired and, or needed. Independent Living can morph into Assisted Living and further to Skilled Nursing care, all on the same campus, all under the same (long) roof. Residence here assures children that long term care of elderly parents will not fall on them (the children). This writer is an Independent Living resident, busy as blazes and having a darn good time at age 79.
