Wow !! Where to start. My mom (Deanna) lived there for a year and a half. She was very happy with her apt. She will always remember that she met my dad in that building when they were just teens. She used to tell us stories about the building. The staff was so nice to her. The management team Sherry ,Teresa,Eric and Denise were so personable. They would even entice my mom to go to activities especially Elvis. She also loved a woman named Phelly who would take the time to be sweet to her. This was a tough time in her life but the staff even the head janitor helped her to adjust. Thanks again for all of the patiences and kindness you showed my mom and her family. I definitely would give this a 5 star.

My mother has Alzheimers and we could no longer keep her at home. It was really difficult to look for a place during the Covid-19 pandemic and feel that your parent would be safe, nevermind the difficulty of uprooting them from the home they loved. Landmark was one of the best facilities I toured. The management was open and forthcoming with how they were handling Covid how they would arrange visits, keep mom safe, etc. When it came time for move-in the staff pitched right in and helped us get everything to my moms room. She has been there 3 weeks and is very happy. No complaints about the food. Loves all her own stuff in her room. They let me put a bird feeder outside her window. We can visit outside and take her for rides. I visit frequently and call to get updates on how she is doing. Very caring, welcoming and flexible staff.

Wonderful Assisted Living Facility, very clean, very well staffed . My Dad loves it there he feels they take very good care of him. Food is delicious & plenty of activities for all. Great location as well as from the Penthouse upper floor there is a great view looking out to the ocean. I highly recommend

My dad lost his wife last and then in June he fell and broke his hip. He arrived at Oceanview in late July. The location is great. The city is walkable with or without a rollator. The library is close by and there are four places of worship right out the door. The desk staff are welcoming and know the residents and their families. Unfortuntely the climate control needs some fine tuning it seems hot or cold and cannot really be regulated The food needs some improvement - there is a lack of consistent quality. Some meals are fine and others are less so - I have kept my dad company for meals a handful of times, so it is not just a one time event.

Landmark is warm and clean. Always coffee on in the lobby. The staff has been great to my mother. They have gone above and beyond in many ways, from getting her a snack when the kitchen is about to close to to helping her repair a piece of furniture. They have a good variety of activities on site. The only complaint she has is about the food. She wishes they served more fresh fruit and vegetables. She has been there over a year.

We looked at some lovely assisted living places for our mom but all were on major roads with nothing within walking distance. What makes Landmark at Oceanview special is its proximity to stores, a nice little park and restaurants and yummy coffee shop. Being in the center of a community is good for the soul.

My brother came to Landmark at OceanView in 2017 for a respite stay. In November of 2018 we brought him in for permanent residency. The nursing staff, aides, cleaning, activities, maintenance and administration staffs have all been exceptional. Feels very "family-like" and welcoming. Have many friends and family members who have visited and they always comment on the wonderful staff, starting with the receptionist when you first walk in. We know our brother is getting the best care possible. The dining room is on the top floor with a lovely view of the ocean. The wait staff is very attentive and helpful and there are many menu choices. There is a large activity room on the same floor as the dining room. Great schedule of activities and the activities director encourages the residents to join in the activities . Nursing and Aides are exceptional. They are attentive, warm and caring. So happy we chose Landmark at OceanView.

My mother has been at Oceanview for 3 months and is very happy. The staff is always helpful and caring. The food is good and her apartment is lovely. The whole place has a home-like atmosphere-not an institutional feeling at all. The view from the dining room is great-"Oceanview".

Oceanview is a special place, and one that should be strongly considered when choosing a home for your loved one. My Dad has lived here for about 5 months now, and I'll share our personal reasons for selecting OV, and continuing to like it: - Independent care to hospice: Moves can be stressful even for a person in top emotional / physical condition. The fact that OV can be a home through different stages of care was important. "Once settled in, stay settled." (Given that - it's month-to-month, with no crazy obligations - you know you won't be locked in!) - Caring staff. From earnest and honest help in Marketing, who you may meet at first touch when learning about the facility, to the knowledgeable head nurse, the many aids, and so many others who are at the facility caring for the residents day in and out - the staff is tremendous, helpful, great at what they do, and tirelessly keep things as in shape as possible (it takes a lot to run these types of businesses!). - Story to augment the above which counts toward peace of mind: Staff checks on all residents throughout the day / night to be sure they're OK - e.g., if a resident doesn't show for a meal, nor indicates why, a staff member will check on the well-being of the absent resident. My father recently broke his hip during the evening, and staff arrived seconds after he paged for help (pull cords all over the units), and helped him be on his way to the E/R. Fast-forward a few weeks, and OV was over and above helping my Dad re-assimilate safely until the hip replacement fused, and he was able to take care of the basics again without putting himself in danger. - The name isn't for show - there really is an ocean view from the Penthouse level where the residents eat (food is decent), enjoy the wrap-around balcony during warmer months, and recreational activities are conducted. Additionally, this building has smaller floors compared to some sprawling facilities, connected by an elevator. This was key for us as my Dad uses a walker, and doesn't have as far to walk from his unit to get to the other areas to socialize, work out, eat, etc. - The building is an old school building in the heart of downtown Beverly. Although some residents may not be mobile enough to stroll out, the access to the offerings is there, and great for visiting family, as it present options beyond the facility during visits. The style of the converted building is current enough, has large windows, and high ceilings. Way more of an inviting hotel feel, than nursing home feel. - Food: Food is important, right? Sort of the last bastion of satisfaction for an elderly person's Id. Imagine going up to your Penthouse with ocean views every day, having a great, consistent breakfast, and looking at the 2 options+ per lunch / dinner? Sure there's tedium to everything eventually, but I know for the most part, the meal times are the highlights of the day for my Dad, and for many other residents. - Is everything amazing? Well - the building is a bear to care for, some units require some updating (which they are working through, one by one), and, as well as the maintenance team does, I think there are challenges there. Additionally, there is no dedicated car service to take residents to appointments, or out, like some other facilities. *(The activities team does take residents on weekly trips using the van.) OVERALL - This place should be at the top of one's list when considering care for a loved one. It's well worth scheduling a tour with your loved one.

My mom spent the last year and a half living at Oceanview. These were some of the best years of her life as an elderly person. The staff and residents made her feel welcome and at home from the very first day. My family and I had peace of mind knowing she was safe, engaged, stimulated and well-cared for every day. We equated her living at Oceanview like being on a cruise ship that never leaves the dock. It was like a vacation! My mom enjoyed the food, the activities, and especially her daily interactions with the staff and other residents. The price is affordable, and the place is lovely, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!
