The Arbors at Amherst is a kind and loving environment, making it wonderful knowing my mother is in such a caring place. The staff are caring and communicative with us. When the administrator expresses that the residents living at the Arbors are considered family, she speaks truthfully. We are so fortunate that my mother was able to move to the Arbors at Amherst when she could no longer live with us.

The Arbors at Amherst provides a genuine home for my Mom as she ages with dementia. Her apartment is ample but cozy, she's able to keep her beloved support cat, and she has settled into a routine with friends at meals, stimulating activities, and delicious food. The staff has gotten to know her quirks, so they're able to collaborate effectively with me to provide a happy, safe, fun environment for my deeply confused Mom. I am so grateful for the stress reduction in my life that comes from knowing Mom is safe, and for the wonderful quality of life The Arbors affords my very deserving Mom!

Mom was 92 and one tough cookie. She was basically kicked out of her last place. I explained all this to Karen (CEO) and her team and - and they did a great job. Mom got involved in several activities, made some nice friends and continued to "be a hoot". But was truly well cared for. The team was communicative, responsive and very understanding. As a retired social worker, I'm finicky with high expectations. They delivered. Thanks to all of the team and staff!! Highly recommended!

The leadership and staff at the Arbors brought the community through the pandemic with care, compassion, and caution. They are all very insightful about resident concerns and open to family input. In addition the food/meals are generous in size and delicious and the activities are mindful of needs and enjoyable for all.

My mom and dad moved to the Arbors in Amherst over a year ago. They and our whole family have been totally thrilled with the care, attention and services provided. During the pandemic the Arbors has been extremely cautious and though it is difficult to not have direct contact with my parents we understand how important it is to be vigilante and safe. As of July there has not been one case of covid in the facility. I would highly recommend the Arbors to anyone in need of assisted living.

The Arbors @ Amherst has done a fantastic job responding to the COVID 19 outbreak. We are so glad that my mom is a resident there under the exceptional care of Karen and the staff. She has constantly kept us in the loop and provided us with updates. Thank you all!

We have been so thrilled by the thoughtful and thorough care the whole of the Arbors staff provides my father-in-law. Thats been true over the whole of the time hes been a resident, but especially so in these past challenging months. We are so grateful for Karens leadership, and especially appreciate her commitment to keeping families in the loop; the whole crew is just so kind and attentive. The programming (back when that was possible!) was terrific, and the spaces throughout, inside and out, are so comfortable and homey. We definitely made the right choice.

Moving from your home is a very stressful time. From the beginning, Karen, the administrator, created a smooth transition for my mother-in-law and father-in-law. She and her staff were so welcoming, kind, and accommodating. They were interested in getting to know them and integrating them into activities that they would enjoy. The facility itself has beautifully appointed common areas and spacious apartments. The staff and everyone is very accommodating about likes, dislikes, food preferences, etc. My father-in-law is gone now, but my mother-in-law has been surrounded by love and caring that goes so far above and beyond what anyone could expect. Everyone is so supportive and helpful in any way we need them to be, and Karen or someone from her staff is always there immediately when needed. During this COVID19 nightmare Karen has been vigilant about keeping residents and staff safe and well. It was difficult not to be able to visit, but there were many wonderful activities and get togethers among the residents that would be put on FACEBOOK so that we could see my mother-in-law and feel good that she was well and happy. The Arbors did a tremendous job and is to be congratulated. We can really never thank the Arbors enough for providing a loving and safe home. We highly recommend the Arbors at Amherst...both from a resident and family perspective. Sincerely, Jim and Carol Conlon

My mother has been at the Arbors at Amherst for 2 years this August, first on the main floor and then transitioning to the Reflections unit. I have nothing but praise for all the staff and services that she has experienced during her stay. The staff is so very caring and they try to keep everyone engaged. My mother actually blossomed when she got to the reflections unit, she became happier and more social, conversing with the staff and other residents. the staff has been especially amazing during the covid-19 virus pandemic. Though I had not been able to see my mother in person for several months, whenever I called people were willing to stop what they were doing and give me an update about my mother. Karen was phenomenal, she kept the Arbors safe and virus free. Everyone put the residents safety first. Thank you Arbors at Amherst for all you do!
