I highly recommend Summerfield Retirement Community to anyone looking for a new place to call home. My mom lived there for several years and just recently passed away. Summerfield is a retirement community with independent living or Assisted Living. You can decide what level of assistance fits your situation if you need help. My mom enjoyed the weekly activities—bingo, painting, crafts, singers, happy hour and the Special events such as a Mardi Gras Ball, Hawaiian luau, holiday luncheons and many other fun activ ities.The Administrator, Fran Kelly-Lacour and the entire staff go out of their way to create a wonderful Senior Living environment at Summerfield.

I have lived at Summerfield Sr. Living for five years and this is the best place to live in this area. The apartments are great and clean. The whole building is kept neat and clean. The wonderful staff are always willing to help you, they are friendly, courteous, and just wonderful people. I am able to keep my small dog with me and she loves all the staff and residents. I do believe they love my dog too. I can be with a group of friends enjoying myself or have quiet time in my apartment. Also, the multitude of activities are great. My son feels this is the best place for me and he doesn't worry about me because he knows I am being look after. Shirley Sharpe

I worked at Summerfield for 6 years before I retired. I loved every minute of it. Plenty of activities, and good food. The residents would describe it as a cruise ship that you never have to get off. I could not agree more!

Wow! What a truly amazing facility! We recently took a tour for my parents and we were blown away! The staff greeted us friendly, the building was stunning, the lunch we had was delicious and the residents we spoke to on our tour had us convinced this was the place for my parents. Summerfield is the best in St. Tammany for a reason!! Top notch on all fronts!

I want to express how happy my mother was to be a resident of Summerfield Retirement Community of Slidell. She immediately felt at home and loved her apartment and surroundings. She absolutely loved each and every employee from the administrative staff to the kitchen staff! The were all helpful, caring attentive, interested and friendly. I was there for everyday for 2 years with my mother and formed bonds that I will cherish forever. I can't imagine a nicer place for my mother to spend her last years. This is an amazing place, you will love it!

A very good place to live in your ageing days. I have been retired for many years and moving here let me retire completely. Three meals are provided each day. The rent includes house keeping as well. Doing the laundry is an easy chore. Ther3e are a lot grounds for walking and sitting and small animals are allowed. There are plenty of places to walk or take a wheel chair.

My grandmother was living at Summerfield for a while but then went to go live in their memory care Community; Anderson. Summerfield was a great place to live and she really liked it there. The staff was awesome and the Management was top notch. Anderson was also nice and they treated my grandmother very well. I recommend both of these facilities to everyone I talk to who may be looking for a place for their elderly family member.

As a visitor I was very impressed. The Management Staff was very friendly and professional. The staff were all smiling and very friendly to us. The residents seem very happy and said how much they enjoyed living there. It was decorated so nice and it was clean! I have and will continue to recommend Summerfield of Slidell!

As a young retiree with some health issues, I made the decision to move into a Retirement Community. Summerfield - what a fantastic place to live for both younger and older retirees. Summerfield Senior Living is a safe, supportive and fun environment. With scheduled activities, transportation to various destinations, a compassionate staff and neighbors who truly care for each other, this is the best place to live.

My tour at Summerfield was good; they have studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments. During mealtimes, the waiters come up to you, and you can order from a little menu. It's so cool, and they take pets. They have a very beautiful courtyard, and you can take your pet there. The inside was gorgeous, very clean, and very pristine. I would have put my mom in there in a heartbeat.

My mom went to Summerfield Retirement Community. The place itself is nice, and there are a lot of activities. The meals were set out nice for her, and we just like it there. They have a lot of amenities and activities all day during the day. They have exercises classes, they play music -- and play the harp and piano -- and they take them on outings on the bus, so there are a lot of things. My mother loves the food, and if you go to Summerfield, you really feel like you're at a resort. My sister and I call it a beach house.

My mother was at Summerfield for about three and a half years before she transferred. The place was good. My mother loved being there. The rooms were spacious. The food was pretty good.

The Summerfield Retirement Community seemed very nice. The person who gave us the tour was very accommodating. The rooms and apartments were adequately spacious. The place was also excellently secured. At the time that we visited that place, there were no apartments available.
