My daughter performed here with her dance studio for the residents! It was a great time, and honestly whenever my fiance and I are old old.... I would totally consider staying there! It was very clean, the staff were super nice and the residents seemed happy!

Since arriving at the Homeplace at Midway my mother has been treated with dignity and respect and loved more than I ever imagined! Each elder has their own furnished room which they can decorate with their personal items to make it their own and show their personality. Family style meals and a large living room, den and several porches provide opportunities for community activities and friendship. The nurses aides provide excellent compassionate care and they know my mothers likes and dislikes and laugh right along with her. Her house is her home in every sense of the word. My mother has her own friends, her own stories and inside jokes…my mother has a dignified life that she enjoys showing off and sharing with all of us. The Homeplace at Midway is a blessing to our family.

My mother has been a resident of The Homeplace at Midway for several months. During that time, she has received excellent care, and the staff is encouraging, warm and nurturing. Of course, I wish she could be at home with her family, but Homeplace is the next best thing!

I cannot say enough good things about The Homeplace At Midway! We first moved our mom into assisted living and now she is now in skilled nursing, where she will most likely live out her last years. The staff in both houses are amazing. They show extreme compassion and caring. The skill level of the staff is superb! I would strongly recommend The Homeplace At Midway to anyone looking for a great place for a loved one.

Our mother and father began their stay at The Homeplace in an assisted living unit. Theyve since transitioned separately to memory care and skilled care. Our parents careers were spent in hospitality, they have a discerning eye, and expect a high level of care and attention. They, my sister and I could not be happier with our experiences. The peaceful surroundings, familiar and well-executed design of the campus, alongside the wonderfully attentive and caring staff, contribute to an exceptional experience. My mother was in the skilled unit for seven months before passing in September 2018. She loved the facility, caring staff and food most of all. The home and family atmosphere was most attractive in our decision to place her there. Words can not describe how well she was cared for and loved at The Homeplace. I know I will never forget each and every staff member whom cared for my precious mother. Wonderful facility from top to bottom and my professional career is in healthcare.

My mother passed away a little over a week ago after spending 26 months at The Home Place. Twenty five months in the memory care unit and the last month was in the skilled care unit. The staff was great in helping mom and us make the transition from our house to The Home Place and then into the skilled house. With 25 years in the fire services as a firefighter and paramedic and 10 years as the city Fire Marshal back in Ohio I had never been in any nursing home as clean and maintained any better then The Home Place. So out of the twenty five to thirty homes I been in over the last 35 years I found none better then The Home Place. The staff was great and appears to truly care for mother. Even after she moved to the other house (skilled house) several of the staff went over to check on or help with mom from the memory house. I give them and this place the five thumbs up.

My mother recently passed after spending the last two years at The Homeplace at Midway. She spent her last month in skilled care, and prior to that memory care. The staff cared for Mom with dignity and treated her like family during her entire stay. Dad would go visit her each night, and the he was always warmly welcomed by the staff. Mom loved a bowl of ice-cream each evening before bed. Dad would take ice-cream for her, which the staff would serve to them in her room each night night. For most of her stay, we were able to take Mom out on Sunday mornings for church. She would be dressed and ready to go at the time Dad requested each week. I do not feel we could have picked a better place for Mom when she could no longer be cared for at home.

One of my good friends kept telling me about the care her mother was receiving and how her health had actually improved since she arrived at The Homeplace at Midway, I finally had to see it for myself and took a tour. I'm amazed at the care and compassion provided by the staff and I can now understand the sense of ease, contentment and calm satisfaction that my friend feels about the care her mother receives. I'm proud to know that this is in Kentucky!

My grandmother is a resident at Homeplace, she can be very challenging but they take wonderful care of her like she was family. Homeplace at Midway is a very unique long term care home. It is like its own little community, the facilities are set up just like a home. It doesn't feel like a "nursing home" it is very homey and inviting. Unfortunately some times our loved ones require more around the clock care than we can provide for them at home. I don't think there is a better facility out there than homeplace.

I am very familiar with The Homeplace at Midway in my professional life in the senior living industry. Our family chose this community to care for our mother. They are providing a much needed care level for our community elders who need skilled dementia care. The communities are small and feel like home for the elders who live here. I hope they continue to build long term care dementia services. By 2026 our region will double the amount of residents who have dementia.
