My wife was in Baptist Hospital for a week because of an UTI. A doctor Stephens sent out for PT. She ended up a the Masonic Home. My wife was there for two weeks. She was a diabetic and they did not give the medications she was on. I went to visit her on the 27th of February and found her in a breathing destress and had the staff to call EMS. They took her to Baptist in critical condition. Baptist put her life supports and she passed away on Feb.28,2020. WHAT A TERRIBLE PLACE!

When we arrived for In-patient rehab noone came from the unit to greet us. So only because, I had stopped in a short tour did, I know where to go. We found the room and sat over 20 mins waiting for someone to come. I finally went searching for someone. Not a good first impression! When you call for help the average was 30-45 mins. On 2 occasions waited for an aid or nurse only for 1 to come in turn off Call light and leave without asking what was needed. My Dad needed changed. Other time aid came in and I ask her to change my father. She asked me to step out and I said he was fine with me being present. She told me she wasn't comfortable with it! I told her sorry.I wasn't moving because that threw a red flag up to me if you work in that field , you shouldn't be uncomfortable in that situation. So she didn't even really check my dad and said he wasn't wet. I knew he was due to his situation of having one bladder and going frequently. So as she after she left. I checked my dad and he was wet as I knew.. Fortunately, my dad room was right next to the nurse manager's office. So I took both these concerns to him. He did say he would address both the situations but didn't apologize. I would not recommend this facility. It's esthetically beautiful and has gorgeous grounds. But I didn't think the care was adequate. And another issue is Weaver. There several days before he actually got a menu to pick what he wanted to eat. Much improvement in that area needed. On a positive note Shannon was a good nurse.

My father, 89 years old is a Mason, was Master of his Masonic Lodge twice. He is a true example of what a man should be; honest, forthcoming, helpful to his fellow man. He lived here until 2 days ago for the past 11 years, moved in after my mother passed away (sold his huge SUV, camper and home to move here.) Rising prices have caused him to move out from the independent living apartments. The only thing replaced was the entrance floor. The carpet are the same as is the paint as was when he moved in. No appliances were replaced except the dishwasher. No painting was ever done. My father replaced the toilet himself, that he bought himself. My daughter and I cleaned this apartment today, here are the pictures. He made many friends while here, everyone knows his smiling face and his little dog, Baby, as he walked her around the grounds several times a day. Goodbye Masonic Home.

My father is here now. I'd say the care has been mediocre. There are some great aides who go above and beyond, and there are some who leave a 95 year old man in a room alone, lying on the floor in a shirt and diaper, because they tried to move him without proper equipment. So glad there is video of that. The kitchen doesn't always send the food required on the "tray ticket" so too bad if your family member can't eat what is sent. No one follows up because the kitchen is a separate management. There is almost no provision for family members to stay with dying patients, like providing a pillow or blanket for them. I'm shocked at how much the place has changed in the past few years.

It's so fancy that I felt out of place. No kidding. We had our staff appreciation dinner here and the venue is beautiful. As a side note, I also attended my prom here some [coughing fit interrupts exact number] years ago and it was exactly as I remembered it. The venue boasts wide open areas (even with a hundred tables!) and high ceilings. So fancy. I boasted my work clothes and tussled hair. If you get a bit lost driving there, no worries--so does everyone else. Don't go through the back, that part is blocked off apparently. Go in from the Frankfort Ave. entrance and just keep driving around the big circle until you find a bunch of cars and hope that that's your group. If it's not your group, just try to look like you belong there and become the life of the party--who's going to know?
