I moved in on September 9th, 2022 and have been living here at Richmond Place for one year

This facility is beautiful. The front desk staff is super friendly. Richmond Place goes overboard to say it's pet friendly but they do not do anything about the residents who are unkind to people who have pets. The facility offers a "referral" bonus to residents who refer someone who moves in but despite 3 referrals which resulted in a move in, the administrators have every time come up with a reason to not give the incentive (we talked to that person 7 years ago; this person knows a staff member and that's why -even though the person who was referred stated who referred them clearly, etc.). In addition to these factors, rent was raised 8% after living here 4 months! We will see how the conversation goes and if well, I'll be glad to update this review. The administration and management has some ways to improve and I would not feel comfortable to recommend to anyone at this time due to these factors. Its very unfortunate and unfair.

I moved in on September 9th, 2022 and have been living here at Richmond Place for one year. My time here has been wonderful. It's incredibly peaceful living here, and I always feel safe. The staff is so kind, and I enjoy my neighbors as well. Every day I get to enjoy the courtyard outside and when I come inside I go straight to the library. The security staff watches all of the doors at night so I never have to worry about strange people coming to my door. The food is phenomenal as well, so I never have to cook either. Above all else, the nicest thing about this community is the wonderful people I have met during my time here. Among the staff, I consider many to be my friend. Shannon and Danae are always so nice at the front desk, Keanu helps me with all of my technical issues whenever I need him, and Sonia was the first person to show me around the community. The big boss, Cindy, is always ready to listen to me and talk whenever I have an issue. I can tell the staff genuinely cares and that's why I am happy to call this my home!

The memory care facility lost most of our mother's things when she was there, even with her name on them. Clothes, linens, towels, pillows, the cord and remote to the television, wall pictures, OTC medicines, two cell phones, shoes... We frequently found her to be wearing someone elses' clothes and shoes. The staff was very kind to her but the turnover was tremendous.

My rating is for the Ambassador Program - Stephanie and her crew are life savers. If it had not been for them assisting with my mother in law until we could move her to assisted living, we would be in dire straits. My mother has lived at Richmond Place for 7 years. She met many people and made many new friends. It is a very nice facility in a wonderful location. It is the only one in Lexington that I know of which has a large courtyard. The courtyard has walking paths, a swimming pool, gazebo, patio and a garden area for residents to grow their own flowers and plants. The staff is very friendly and has done a wonderful job of keeping the residents safe during the Covid Pandemic. The best part is my mother is happy and safe so I don't have to worry about her being alone. She lives in the independent living apartments. Richmond Place also has assisted living and memory care if needed. I highly recommend it.

Richmond Place has provided me with many life enriching experiences. There are so many activities going on that one has to choose which to attend! We have games of all sorts, book clubs, art classes and crafts. We have chair aerobics, yoga, and balance classes. For additional help there is occupational and physical therapy. Furthermore, we have a beautiful courtyard for walking or strolling. Many have dogs or cats. For the gardeners among us there are raised garden beds which are gorgeous now. If that is not for you how about a swim in our outdoor heated pool or just lounge poolside with a good book! Our concierge and staff are always ready to help with questions and concerns we may have.

Richmond Place was an answer to prayer for our family! My 81 year old mom leaving her home and seeking Independent living was a complicated decision and overwhelming at times. My parents are moving from their home to Richmond Place at the end of this month. Already our experience with Richmond Place has been amazing and they aren't even living there yet. Britney Mitchell greeted us like family, gave us a tour, agreed to our modification needs within 24 hours and has been quick to respond to ALL of our questions. They work hard to see that the residents have a good, safe, clean place to live. But even more than that, they're pleasant and kind and generous with their time. Richmond Place has been completely transformed into a beautiful, warm and inviting place! Everything has been updated. The common areas are bright and modern with beautiful pieces of art and gorgeous decor. The dining room looks like an elegant restaurant. Most importantly is the staff. They're warm, friendly and engaging with their residents. Sonja in particular enters the room with a smile on her face and makes you feel like you're the only one that matters! Stephanie who heads up the Ambassador program (extra helpers) was extremely professional and really took the time to listen to us as we shared our needs!

My grandmother is in her twilight and the staff of Richmond Place has continually done all they can to help her ease of life. Stephanie and her ambassador program has met me every step of the way, is always responsive and knows my grandmother well enough to recommend a quality of care best for her -- she and her team have become an invaluable resource for a grandson who lives two hours away. The vibe is always upbeat and positive and Ive never met with anyone in the facility who was anything less than helpful and pleasant. I cant say enough about the level of care and attentiveness here.

I think Richmond place is one of a kind. They have some of the best, hardworking individuals who show up and care for their residents every day. Especially Britney Mitchell Ashely Herzner. They go above and beyond for their residents and its truly heartwarming to see. I know these residents are in good hands here. From Luau events to wine night to changing all the events to meet covid standards — these residents were taken care of and loved for. We had a wonderful experience from search to signature. We began our search for my mother in law for respite care. Although she selected a site closer to her home for her recovery, Allie and Chad were so helpful that I suggested Richmond Place for Independent living for my parents. Allie again stepped in and made stressful conversations and decisions seem easy and natural. The staff at Richmond Place understands that these decisions require financial, social, medical, and emotional solutions. Allie provided the preparation and research necessary to answer all of these questions. Their tour felt like a homcoming. My parents are extremely satified with their beautiful and newly renovated apartment. They are looking forward to meeting new friends and having new experiences. Smiles all around. My sister in law has been at Richmond Place since 8-2019. She has a lovely apartment overlooking the beautiful green space area. I only wished that we had not been under this pandemic foe so long because thankfully the administration has put into place stringent rules to keep their residents safe. This was good for their health but the isolation has been so hard on the residents. By February all residents that wanted vaccinations will have received them and hopefully all the activities and fun outings will get to start happening. No complaints. Thank you for keeping my love one safe.?

My husband and I moved to Richmond Place November, 2016. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The courtyard is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. Our apartment was exactly what we needed. Enough activities are provided that no one can be bored unless he-she prefers that route. We have two well supplied libraries, a gym, card room and meeting rooms—just to name a few of my favorites. The entire staff has been helpful, efficient and extremely caring—they do everything they can to make our living here a wonderful experience. My husband had to move into the Memory Care Unit in June, 2018 and passed away August, 2020. I called it his Happy Place and it truly was due to the loving care he received.

The first time I visited Richmond Place, I was blown away at how beautiful and big the property was! It recently has gone through a renovation and it looks great! The large campus park offers so much peaceful green space for folks to enjoy which is my favorite part! The staff are knowledgeable, professional, good, loving people. I have visited Brookdale on numerous occasions, and I am absolutely in love with it! From the amazing customer service when you walk in, all the way to the nice luxurious rooms they offer! When referring my most recent client the staff at Brookdale treated them as if they were their own family. After my client moved in she could not stop talking about the courtyard and their unlimited activities. As a realtor in central Kentucky I am looking forward to vouching for this company with the information I know first hand when I refer clients!!

The people are very friendly. The staff is easy to find if you need them and often speaks to us as we pass. They know us by name. They keep us as busy as you want to be. I enjoy bingo, watercolor and acrylic painting, card games, music entertainment, and special events. The art show this weekend was amazing. We celebrate often and have a very good activity director. We have a swimming pool and plenty of exercise equipment and classes. They have transportation to get us to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, or other shopping as well as community events. My apartment is spacious with a full kitchen, washer dryer connection, bedroom, bathroom and living-dining area overlooking the courtyard.
