Our 95 yr old grandmother took a fall May 2019 at home. She was previously very insistent that she would remain in her home. After her fall we were able to convince her to move into Charter Senior Living after she toured the facility. We were impressed with the amount of activity in the residents and how happy they all were. We even asked several of them during the walk through with Don Franks how they liked living at Charter. Every person we spoke with was upbeat, happy and had nothing but great things to say about Charter and the team. They were even asking Don to show us their apartments! It was adorable and a strong testament to how well they are cared for and that the Charter staff continually excel at their jobs. In speaking with Granny recently, she is very happy that she made this move. She was nervous at first because it was something new but the other residents and staff took her under their wing and really made her feel welcome. Now she enjoys hanging out with her friends watching TV and participating in activities like painting her finger nails and some arts and crafts. It is so nice to see the quality of life she has now and the gleam in her eye. Thank you Charter team for taking such wonderful care of her.

I have worked at Charter in Bowling Green since early 2018 and I love it. My mother even lives there now. The staff is committed to quality care and excellent customer service and there's lots going on if residents want to get involved. The building is a bit older but its super clean, well kept and we continue to invest in the building and property. When we were considering a place for our parents to live, Don gave my sister & I a tour of the facility. We were immediately impressed with the sense of family. Don knew every resident by name as did other employees. The residents were smiling as we passed them. It was an easy decision for where they would live. After our parents moved in, the administration and staff were always available to talk about my concerns and quickly responded. There was always a deep caring for the residents that I observed. Taking care of seniors is not an easy task! Add to that the nightmare of Covid-19! Being a senior is not easy at all! I observed great patience & love in the staff for the residents. Every time I stopped by to visit, my mother would tell me that they were taking such good care of her. She wasnt happy about moving there, but she was happy living there. If you are looking for a newer, fancier facility, you can find it. But from my observation, those places are cold and uninviting. If you are looking for a family environment, Charter of Bowling Green is your best choice! My family is so grateful for the care given my parents at Charter at a very difficult time in their lives. I was a high school guidance counselor for 31+ years. I can size up a situation pretty fast and with 100% accuracy. I watch body language, I listen carefully to words being spoken, I observe the area surrounding a situation, etc.Little pieces come together for a full big (puzzle) picture. Its hard to give me hype and fool me. And, as I watch the employees (on all levels - from top to bottom), I see a lot. And when anything involves my parents, I am over-protective and Katy bar the door.When I am in this observational mode at Charter Senior Living (in Bowling Green, KY), I see a loving community and an organization that truly has it together. I feel emotional warmth in the air and a place thats almost too good to be true. Yet, thats just it... their magic is that they are all 100% sincere, genuine, caring, compassionate, and the staff treats all others with respect, dignity, and professional efficiency. It is extremely rare to find such a wonderful place that actually lives its MISSION STATEMENT.I live in Florida and when I left my mom in KY (at Charter Senior Living) two weeks ago, to tell her goodbye and me come back to Florida... it was literally the first time in 12 years that I felt happy and at peace, knowing that my mom was finally safe, and that I was leaving her in good hands. I Can Remember This Was Called Bowling Green Retirement Village.Few Residents I Do Remember That Was Living Here Have Pass Away.When I Came With My Dad To Visit Here When It Was Called BowlingGreen Retirement Village.Sometimes I Sneak Over To Room Play Something On The Piano While My Dad Was Making Visits To TheResidents In There Rooms.
