Had a very agreeable visit with Madeline Hynes. Staff is always friendly and helpful when I visit.

My father-in-law has been here for about 10 yrs and absolutely loves it here. Used to be 1/2 retirement village & 1/2 assisted living (different wings). They ended up closing the assisted half around pandemic time and as far as I know, it's still just the retirement half. He has the 3 meals a day included plan. Some residents choose not to do that and prefer to cook their own meals. Usually a daily special or u can order off the menu. The times that my kids, spouses and grandkids have eaten there, everyone was happy with their meal. It's not high-end fancy food but just down home good cooking. My FIL has stated a few people don't like the food but the majority seem to like it. An older but very clean facility with a FANTASTIC lobby/commons area with a MASSIVE FIREPLACE, SKYLIGHTS and lots of comfortable seating. He lives on the second floor (there's an elevator) and when u exit his apt the hallway only has a half wall so you can lookout over the commons are, dining area etc. Even my kids (in their 30's) said they'd LOVE living there! Seem to have lots of activities, church, workout room and my FIL was leading workout classes twice a day pre-pandemic (not sure if that's still happening). Parking for residents if they have a car. He has a 1 BR, 1 BA apt with LR, area for a small dining table, small kitchen, BR and Full BA. Apt is small but he's rarely in there except to nap, watch TV or sleep. Located in the older south part of Wichita (half block off Harry Street) but they've never had any crime issues that I'm aware of. Would highly recommend a visit to check it out if you or loved one is considering retirement villages.

We love Georgetown. My mom recently moved in. Very affordable with remodeled apartments. Laundry rooms everywhere, covered porches, puzzle lift, library, exercise rooms, covered parking, manicured grounds, breakfast included, all bills paid.. and so much more. Candace and the Ascension team have rebuilt a safe, peaceful and fun home for our most important family members. I thought we eanted Mom to love with us but she wouldn't have the growing community of friends. Did I mention onside OT, PT, a bank! Just go check it out... you won't regret it. Mom moved 1853 miles and loves it!
