I have been here since 2017. I got married here this year in the lounge residence and us had a great time. I love it here. Of course there’s some things I don’t like, but you have to give and listen I do have some concerns, but it doesn’t make any difference if we talk to you about it or not you’re not gonna change it thanks. It should be for the best that’s not gonna work cause it cost you and you’re not going to give an inch corporation and we’re talking about, I never used to feel that way and I didn’t when I first came here the last couple years it hasn’t been very good around here though the secretary the activity drifter the lady downstairs that does Therapy. They are all great. Bob’s great wishing him well. but in the whole hi and my husband loves it here we the residence are a family

Having friends care about you. The Staff have been a great support. UpdateThe Welstone meets and exceeds my needs for a large variety of activities from which to choose (or not), welcoming new friends, pet friendly for my dogs, and medical transportation with reservation. The food is well prepared and the chef listens to feedback at monthly meetings, implementing them when he can! The weekly Bible study is the best I have ever attended! Plus, due to the number of "Marys" in the building, I have a new nick-name of "Two Dog Mary"! Fun place to live! UpdateThis is still a great place to live

My experience, as a new resident here, has been wonderful. Both employees and residents have made me feel welcome. Administration is excellent. There are a variety of activities each day including an exercise room full of equipment staffed by a certified instructor. Meals are varied and delicious. The facility is well maintained and spotless. I found out about Welstone after consulting A Place for Mom which I also recommend. It pays to do your homework when choosing an independent living residence.

My husband and I have lived at The Welstone for almost five years. It has provided everything we have needed with a smile! The staff is friendly and caring. Our building is very attractive and immaculately clean. There is an abundance of activities or if we want privacy, all we have to do is enter our apartment and close the door. I have worked with the therapists from Lakeview Village and they are outstanding. Our fitness coach Anasha has classes going all day to help us stay fit. We have monthly Town Hall meetings and all residents can make their voices heard. Jeff Brown, our director, is "one of us" always ready to listen to our concerns or visit with us.

Friendly, welcoming staff and residents! My dad moved in a few months ago and is thriving. He loves the food and has has been participating as much or as little as he wants. Peers have encouraged him to join activities. Lots of choices! He loves the gym--available anytime and with personalized weight settings. His granddaughter likes to play shuffleboard with him when she visits. The salon is a busy hub with Beth helping residents look their best while welcoming residents and families who stop by to connect. Housekeeping keeps it looking great and is reliable. Regardless of where my dad is or what he is doing, people seem to know him by name. I am so grateful.

I work directly with over a dozen Senior Living centers in the Metro area by putting on Medicare workshops / presentations and helping their residents select the Medicare plan that fits them the best based on their individual needs. In my 12 years of experience in the Senior community I can say without a doubt that Jeff Brown and his team at The WellStone at Mission Crossing has the most well rounded and companionate staff in the metro when it comes to senior living I have found to date. The fact they are a smaller community gives them the ability to actually KNOW and CARE for each resident on an individual level! They truly are Passionate about ALL of their residents and that Passion is very evident in all interactions I have had with them over the years. My Parents came for Christmas (2017) and they were too sick to go home. Initially, we rented an apartment at Welstone for a 6 month recovery and rehabilitation. But, they moved here permanently partially because their experience at Welstone has been so overwhelmingly positive. My Sister and I are so fortunate to live within a few miles of Welstone, so we can spend much more time with our parents in their remaining years. Welstone is perfect for their needs right now. Welstone provides for them what they no longer want or are able to provide for themselves. They don't have to cook anymore, and they enjoy most of the meal offerings, despite being fairly picky eaters. The care they received during the pandemic was outstanding, and I am eternally grateful to the staff, and the health care professionals at Interim (No longer the health care provider, but they have a new company to provide services if you need). The activities are a fabulous variety of never ending things to do, and they continued to adapt activities and keep residents informed and involved during the pandemic. The friends my parents have made while living at Welstone are wonderful and incredibly interesting. My Mother is fairly house bound, but when she emerges, any resident who sees her asks about her and engages her in conversation. I think my father's favorite part of the day is having coffee with his buddies. Living at Welstone has quite literally saved their lives, and enhanced their lifestyle. I don't think they would have considered living in a senior living apartment prior to their health crisis and our insistence. They were happy in a home in a remote part of NM, without a mortgage and plenty of acreage. Leaving their friends and colleagues of over 20 years once seemed unthinkable, but they tell me frequently that they could not have planned their living arrangement better if they had tried. Sometimes fate steps in and guides you to the right place. I am so very glad we found Welstone during their health crisis. I highly recommend Welstone, because of the people who work and live there.

I have the pleasure of being the pastor of The Welstone Congregation At Mission Crossing for just under a year and find it to be a great community. The residents often speaks of the wonderful apartments and amenities offered. Some even boast of the food served in the dining room and their chef. The Director of Celebration, Kathy Vollenweider is always arranging great activities within and outside of the community. Her attention to details makes activities run smooth. Kathy and her team provides excellent logistical assistance and support for the services of the Welstone Congregation. I can't say enough about the wonderful Executive Director, Jeff Brown. Jeff has always provided for the needs and requirements of The Welstone Congregation. I find it a blessing to have a director who is interested in the spiritual and emotional support of the community. When there is a need, Jeff is there to listen and make appropriate decisions. Jeff is constantly seeking improvements within the community and can be seen throughout the Welstone interacting with residents, families and staff with a great friendly smile and willingness to listen. As a Representative for the City of Mission, we partnered with Welstone for a Pig Roast Fund Drive. Jeffrey Brown, Manager of Welstone was amazing! We met with him several times, explained our intent for the event, and left everything up to Welstone. The event was sold out, we had over 150 participants for the evening, the food was awesome, the staff was amazing and we were able to feed several families from our profits. Whenever i go to Welstone to visit, Jeff is very hands-on; the residents love him. Jeff also is working at partnering with other entities in the City of Mission.
