I have been Resident Care Coordinator at Homestead of Lenexa for almost a year now. I am so blessed to have hard working staff, amazing residents, and wonderful families. We are also blessed to have a new Chef and Activities Director. I have worked in different long term care setting but there is something very special about Homestead of Lenexa. We are blessed to have an amazing regional team that is just one call away if we need anything. The Executive Director Dell is a great boss to work for, who goes above and beyond for staff. Can’t say enough good things about Homestead. I am always kept informed about how my folks are doing. I feel like they really care about my parents. Great interaction with the nursing staff and director and the activity director, Jennifer. Nothing is perfect and covid is really making it difficult but I feel that this place is just small enough to have a more personal touch with the residents. Also, one of the first facilities in Kansas to get the vaccine! So appreciate that.

Giving Homestead Assisted Living of Lenexa, 87th and Pflumn, 5 stars. A smaller place that feels like home. The staff is caring and communication is excellent. Our mother was there for 2 1, 2 years and received wonderful care. A big thank you to the staff. Going to miss all of you. Jackie Grigsby

5 star care. After visiting 4 other large, modern and busy facilities I was frustrated I could not find what I was looking for. I almost missed visiting this place. From the picture I thought this was someone running eldercare in their home. Its not, its just a smaller assisted living facility with less than 40 residents and all on one level, just a block SE of 87th and Pflumm. It was exactly what I was looking for in the next level of care mom needed. She has a sunny 1 bedroom apartment and is no longer isolated due to all the frequent visits throughout the day by the aides, cleaning staff, nurses, activity director and office staff who encourage her to get out and walk, eat and socialize in the activities of the day. The smaller facility did not overwhelm and confuse her and it allows a lot of personalized attention. Communication with family and care is excellent. Frequent family events encourage the family atmosphere. Very very happy with our choice!!

We moved my Grandmother to Homestead from another living facility about 2 years ago. Our experience with Homestead of Lenexa was fantastic, the entire staff was so loving and caring, everyone from the chef (Deborah) to the aids, nurses, and administrators were fantastic to my Grandmother. Homesteads facilities are not as new as the facility she was at prior, but each and every day her experience and time spent at Homestead was far superior. My Grandmother was not the easiest resident for them but their staff was always excellent and patient with her and the love they showed her was beautiful. The administrators and nurse have repeatedly gone out of their way to help my family during hard times. I would recommend Homestead 100%!
