My family and I moved my grandma into Homestead Estates of Leawood in December 2023 after she was more or less forced out of her previous living facility. To put it nicely, the previous facility made it clear to us that they were no longer able or willing to care for my aging grandma. On my wide search for a new place, I toured many facilities and I still feel so blessed to have found Homestead Estates. I could immediately tell from my first visit with Tina (Director of Nursing) and Madison (Executive Director at the time) that they genuinely cared about their residents and finding my grandma a comfortable place to live. For the first time in my experience with nursing homes, it felt like they saw my grandma as a person and not just a chart. My grandma passed away in March 2024, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the end of life care she received. Tina and the nursing staff made her final moments as pleasant and pain free as possible. On top of the care that my grandma received, Tina communicated with us very clearly about my grandma's state throughout her time there, and let us know when her health took a turn for the worse. That clear communication was truly priceless during such a difficult time. In the short 4 months that she lived there, we did have some concerns about the care that my grandma was receiving. When we addressed those issues with Tina and Madison/Luanne, our concerns were taken seriously and prompt action followed, which is the most we could ask for. We were extremely pleased with our experience at Homestead Estates and I wouldn't hesitate to put any of my loved ones there if needed. I cannot say enough good things about Tina- finding someone with such compassion and empathy seems to be rare in this field, and I believe that she instills those same values in the rest of the nursing staff. Bonus: Chef Dylan is excellent! The meals that I had with my grandma were delicious!!!

Homestead Estates in Leawood has been a terrific home for my parents since 2022. The staff are attentive and passionate, and particularly shined recently when my mother (now deceased) was undergoing hospice care in their apartment. I was impressed with the way the staff doted on my mom and dad during the period of hospice care -- and how they've gone out of their way to help my dad in this transitional time. My dad really likes the food and the organized activities, and he especially enjoys spending time in the landscaped courtyard garden. Luanne, the Executive Director, and Tina, the Director of Nursing -- along with a really terrific staff -- work tirelessly to make sure the residents are well cared for.

Staff is amazing! They work very hard to provide great care in a supportive and personalized way for each resident. I'm a healthcare provider that visits many facilities and this is a great one! Tina is an amazing nurse and leader- the team here reflects that in caring for each resident like they would their own family. Communication and availability from staff is also above average.

Our relative was coming from an Independent living situation and was in real need of more constant attention. The Director at Homestead of Leawood over-delivered on providing a caring environment while being supportive to the family. The facility is clean and modern, and in our experience we were very satisified with the effort the staff made to accommodate our loved ones needs.

Beautiful building with a caring staff. always readily available. LouAnn, ED & Tina, RN run a well oiled machine with an amazing staff from the kitchen to the floor. Many years of knowledge and experieare are displayed in this building. You know it feels like home when you would be secure with your loved one being a resident.

My stepdad has been living at Homestead Estates Assisted Living of Leawood for about 4 months. The nursing staff is very compassionate and very detailed with the care given to the residents. I have appreciated the communication with family and their willingness to address issues quickly.

Both of my parents have been residents for almost two years. They absolutely love the attention and care that they receive here. The administration is quick to communicate and extremely easy to work with. The facility itself is beautiful and spacious. Couldn't recommend more!

One of the best places for senior living. The rooms are spacious and the food is excellent. The residents can be in the dinning room and watch the traffic flow. I won't hesitate to recommend this place.

My dear mother is a resident. She has made good friends among both the residents and staff. I believe she is happy and that this was a good choice for us. The administrator, Madison Parker, is personable, highly trained, and committed to providing the best environment possible for the residents within an institutional setting. Mom loves the activities provided and wishes there would be more of them.

This place is beautiful, but more than that I believe in the care they provide. Ashley and Elle are responsive, caring and hands on leaders!

They wouldn't except my mom due to she had stroke and now paralyze on left side so guess they don't have people like that in their place State line location being renovated ! So since it's very close to me I tried again and still got rejected. Guess stroke people in wheel chairs is just too much care for Homestead so wish them the best. I'm sure new building will be nic

My mom has been at Homestead since for 7 years. For the most part, we have been satisfied with her care. Over the last 1 1/2 years, there has been a lot of turn over, which caused issues with the food service, and cleanliness of the rooms. However, they have made a positive change with the hiring of a Regional VP, director, activities director and nurse. The difference is the new regional VP is she is local, so can stop in whenever, She has a lot of experience and great ideas. We have met with her to voice concerns, and she immediately corrected the problems. With this new staff, I can see that they are dedicated, and truly care about the residence. Once the renovations are complete, this will be a place others want to live. It is a smaller facility, so you feel more like a family.

Major loss of staff turnover including the chef. The residents have been eating sandwiches for dinner for several evenings. They have called out for pizza and ordered in from HyVee. Residents don't have any alternatives for the non-healthy diet being served. Van for outings has not operated for several months. This facility not up to the level to the other assistive living facilities we visited. Most had menu options for meal. They usually only get one. Many have dietary needs. Laundry is left in dryer so clothes come out wrinlked. Residents going back and doing it themselves. Unacceptable. They are paying for all these services. The very positive part so far is the manager has worked very hard to make it work. She is always positive and like by the residents despite all the problems. Corporate needs to help. The residents are close knit. Many things must change for health and well being of residents.
