In June I had knee replacement surgery at Via Christi. I chose Westview of Derby for my rehabilitation. They were in network with my insurance and I live just a few blocks away. It was great! I’m back home and hope to go back and see some of the people I made friends with. My only regret right now Is feeling like I wasted the last few years being a hermit and not visiting this facility I’ve lived so close to! I only stepped foot in the door when I needed them. Volunteers are a great thing - talk to the director Jennifer she was awesome! Don’t be scared to go share some smiles. I intend to! Thank you Westview!

I had a very positive experience at Westview of Derby. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring toward the residents. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and it felt like a safe and welcoming environment for my loved one. Most of the team went above and beyond to make sure residents were comfortable and well looked after. I especially appreciated the kindness of the nursing aides and activity staff”they brought so much energy and compassion into their work. My only concern was my interaction with the Director of Nursing. While the rest of the staff were communicative and approachable, I found the DON to be less responsive and not as open to feedback as I would have hoped. That aside, the overall care and environment were very good, and I’m thankful for the positive experience we had. Would recommend this facility, and I hope to see continued improvements in leadership communication.

My mother recently toured Westview of Derby, and I was thoroughly impressed with the facility. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome and at ease. The nursing home itself is clean, bright, and beautifully maintained. The layout is spacious, with plenty of natural light, and the common areas are inviting and comfortable. We also appreciated seeing the variety of activities and events offered to the residents, which clearly focus on keeping them engaged and active. The staff were very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions with patience and care. It was evident that they prioritize the well-being of their residents and create a warm, supportive environment. We left the tour feeling confident that this would be a wonderful place for my mom, and we are seriously considering it for her future care. Jessica the admissions coordinator is a ROCK STAR! She helped me from the beginning. She took my husband and I on a tour of the facility before transferring my mother there after her stroke. My mother’s stroke left her wheelchair bound and totally unable to care for herself. I live 1 1/2 hrs away from Derby, Westview and work full time. I knew I would NOT be able to visit daily so I wanted to make sure she was WELL CARED for. The facility was clean, smelled clean and the caregivers work hard taking care of the residents. Needless to say I was very impressed and felt comfortable for my mother to live/stay there. Westview has been a BLESSING to me! We looked/toured other facilities but NONE of them compared to Westview. I can’t stress enough how the ENTIRE STAFF at Westview is so wonderful, caring and hard working. I definitely recommend the facility and their staff 🙂

The admissions coordinator and medical and accounting have been very helpful, my uncle was transferred there from Rock Regional another outstanding hospital location, my uncle so far is pleased, the place even though could use updates is in fact clean, the staff is good and my uncle is satisfied with the food and care so far. He has been there 2 weeks. This is not the first time he is in a rehab/LTS home. He has spent over 12 years previously in NY. My uncle says the food and attention are so much better at Westview of derby. Thank you Jessica Y. For being available for questions and getting back to me quick about anything else! My mom recently became a senior resident of Westview. I can only say, out of all of the facilities accomodating seniors, I personally, have whitnessed over the last 40 years, this facility is top notch!! Every senior is treated with the best of care, and compassion. Each resident is heard, and receives the attention they need! The physical therapists are also attentive, and proactive! Getting my friend, with Parkinson, into Westview was easy peaky with the friendly welcome of Jessica in admissions. They were super accommodating in the transition and the facility appeared and smelled clean. Weekend staff is a little sparse, but all in all a good fit for my friend.
