Every unit has its own climate control, bathroom, as well as spacious closets that are great for storage. All residents have access to landscaped grounds and common areas. We are incredibly proud of our Derby staff members. The employees here are 100% committed to the care and well-being of our residents. Glen Carr House meal plans that are prepared with fresh ingredients daily from specially designed menus. We also offer snacks between meal times. Private dining, family style, cookouts, picnics are all available for every style of meal that could be desired. We can accommodate for nearly every type of diet.

The Nye family highly recommends Glen Carr House for family members who require constant care. On our arrival day the staff was welcoming and made sure our loved one’s transition was pleasant and a positive experience. They embraced us with care and made sure the move in process ran smoothly. The staff kept us informed of how our loved one was doing in their care. The end-of-life care was excellent and greatly appreciated. Thank you to the staff of Glen Carr House number one.

My Mother lived at Glen Carr House for almost 3 years. We chose Glen Carr for the convenience of their location in Derby, but our main focus was the cleanliness and professionalism of the Glen Carr staff. It was refreshing to see how the residents were kept active during the day and each seemed very happy and content. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have maintained a safe and clean environment during Covid-19 and took every precaution to insure each residents family that their loved ones are being well taken care of during the lockdown. As my Mothers dementia worsened we were able to transition her to Hospice without moving her. Through that difficult time the Glen Carr staff was absolutely amazing and supportive. My family and I would recommend Glen Carr House to anyone who is going through the difficult situation of a loved one experiencing Alzheimers.

Our mother was there for 7 months. She was taken care of very well and she felt that this place was her home. She met many new friends and enjoyed interacting with the staff, other residents and their families. Glen Carr made us feel as though we were also family. They did a fantastic job including us in our mothers daily activities. Many of the residents would share their life stories. We all became friends with other families and did a lot of laughing. They were there for us until the very end of moms life. We appreciate all that they did for mom.

The staff at Glen Carr took excellent care of my aunt when she was a resident there. They always kept me promptly informed of any concerns or changes in her care plan. They handled her with loving kindness and treated her with respect. They did their best to keep my aunt and I connected in spite of the Covid challenges. I would recommend Glen Carr House for anyone who is looking for a safe, caring environment for their loved one.

Glen Carr is an amazing Memory Care facility. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, this is an amazing place. There are 4 identical buildings which are called- homes and they are very well laid out and very homey. Staff ratio is phenomenal. They have great activities that are specific for people with Alzheimers and Dementia. The Management Team is very knowledgeable and compassionate and will take great care of your loved one. 5 Stars all the way around!

My grandfather has lived at Glen Carr for the past 3 1-2 years and the staff has become like family to us! While his mental abilities have changed, they continue to show him patience during his tough times. We are thankful for the care provided from all levels of employees.

My mother lived at Glen Carr for more than a year and half (til she passed away last March). I was pleased with the staff and management. She had lived in other facilities in the area; however, she was so much more engaged during her stay at GC. Her care was great. The nurses loved the residents. I wish I had moved her to Glen Carr much sooner than I did.

My mother was in the Glen Carr House for 9 months and we were extremely impressed with their facility and employees. They did a very good job of handling the Corona virus situation. We couldnt have been more pleased with their efforts all the way up to her passing.

My stepfather suffered from dementia and we could no longer care for him at home. Glen Carr is an amazing facility with the most competent, caring and communicative staff you could find. I cant recommend Glen Carr and their staff enough.
