From the very beginning, the staff welcomed her with genuine kindness, compassion, and respect, making her feel valued and cared for every single day. Marquette Senior Living is so impressive. It felt bright, welcoming, and full of life. The staff seem so caring and helpful, their team answered all my questions with patience, and the follow-up communication was excellent. The atmosphere really stood out compared to other communities. Seeing their beautiful gardens, all their beautiful gathering areas, the gorgeous dining room, plus an indoor pool, honestly made me feel like I was visiting a resort! You can either move into a more independent living apartment or if you need more care, they provide support with their assisted living care. What’s good is that you can decide what’s best for you or when you need more help and assistance. That all makes me have peace of mind to know that I have options. I would highly recommend scheduling a tour to see it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

I was visiting Marquette with a friend who was checking out this facility for her mother. It’s absolutely amazing! 10/10 I would highly recommend it. In fact, I have already suggested it to my own dad. What a great vibe with caring and compassionate people. Finding the right place for a loved one is never easy, but Marquette Nursing Home gave my friend's family something they deeply needed. Peace of mind. From the very beginning, the staff treated them with kindness, patience, and genuine understanding during a very emotional time. What stands out most is the compassion. The caregivers don’t just do their jobs, but they truly care. They take the time to connect with residents, speak to them with dignity, and make them feel seen and valued every single day. It’s incredibly comforting to know your loved one is not only safe, but cared for with such warmth and humanity. The facility itself is clean, calm, and welcoming, but for me it’s the people who make the biggest difference. The nurses, aides, and staff go above and beyond, and you can feel the heart they put into their work. Communication was also been thoughtful and consistent, which means so much when you’re trusting others with someone you love. We left feeling informed, supported, and respected. Marquette is more than just a nursing home. It’s a place where people are treated with dignity, compassion, and genuine care. We have been so grateful to have found them and for everything they do for their residents!

This review is about Margie who cared for my mother the last 3 days in the sub acute rehab part of Marquette. She was very compassionate with me as I tried to navigate things from overseas. She gave me plenty of time to ask questions and then also, talk to my mother about the reality of her recovery. It was invaluable for me as her medical power of attorney. I think a lot of people don't understand how difficult it is for the family trying to navigate making decisions. Having a compassionate and understanding person for the actual person in the facility is important but it 's equally as important that that person be understanding of the family trying to make decisions. Thank you Margie! I know i've said it multiple times but you were my Angel during this difficult 3 days.

It’s far superior to the other senior residential facilities I have visited. The individual apartments are really nicely appointed with high-end finishes. I did a Chuy's delivery for a meeting they had. This is such a beautiful place! I was first created by the security gate staff who was so friendly and welcoming, he directed me to exactly where I needed to go. The facility seemed enormous with a cafe, library and bank branch inside. Hannah Martz and Billie from assistant living are fabulous. Hannah always has a huge smile on her face and has something uplifting to say to every person as they enter or happen to stroll past in a wheelchair. Something’s always comes out of her mouth to make you smile. Billie who used to be in the memory care (we so miss her) also is bumming w kindness and cheerfulness. Still to this day when she sees my mom strolling by in her chair she stops what’s she’s doing and grabs my mom’s hands and dances with her singing as she dances. She has a smile on her face for absolutely everyone. And last but certainly not least is Elva!!! What a hard worker she is. She will do ANYTHING for the people in memory care. She has a soft heart and huge kindness about her. And she truly cares for each of them. She bold with her tasks but at the same time she treats each of them w such patience. She gets the job done before they have time to complain. They trust her and so do I. If feels good to know that people like Elva are there to care for my mother. There are a couple of young girls that are in the memory care as well that are really good but I can’t remember their names. I wish I could. Good job in hiring such kind people. Everyone at Marquette Manor is so warm and friendly. My mom and dad moved here from PA at the end of March. Lisa made getting their apartment so easy and it is beautiful! Shannon and Hannah have been so wonderful to work with. My dad was sicker than we realized and passed away shortly after they got here. My mother who suffers from COPD and moderate dementia, and for whom I am POA, spent several months of time at both the health center (skilled nursing facility) as well as assisted living at Marquette. I found the administrators and health care workers (nurses, physical/occupational therapists and CNA's) to be very competent, caring and they frequently checked on my mother. I felt as though they placed my Mom as a priority given her needs. The food for Mom was pretty good. It is increasingly rare to find organizations that truly stand by their values. Lucky for my mom, Marquette Manor is a shining example of an organization that walks its talk. When mom moved to Indianapolis, we evaluated a number of prospective senior communities. What stood out about Marquette was its nonprofit status and commitment to resident welfare. As different from the national chains where any profit is siphoned off to the parent company, Marquette regularly reinvests available funds to improve the resident experience. The difference is palpable even to a new visitor. One unique element of the Marquette commitment is its Benevolent Fund, meant to support longer term residents who have moved into higher levels of care that eventually exceed their resources. As mom moved from Independent Living, to Assisted Living, to Skilled Nursing, she went from being able to fully cover her monthly costs to being in deficit. Per agreement with Marquette, we tapped mom’s savings to close the monthly gap until those savings were mostly depleted. We then applied for, and were kindly granted, benevolent assistance to help close the gap. Marquette showed up as promised. Mom will be able to stay in the caring, comforting environment that has become home. What for some may have been a marketing ploy, for Marquette was commitment. We are deeply grateful that mom is in a community that lives the values it professes.

After 50 years living in Ohio and Pennsylvania, we decided to return home to Indianapolis. We viewed several retirement communities, but Marquette checked all the boxes for us. Our apartment is big enough for relaxation, hobbies, and entertaining. I have taken advantage of the Marquette Athletic Club (MAC). I have a personal exercise program provided by MAC personnel, who review the program at least once a year to monitor progress. My muscles have never been stronger! Marquette provides plenty of entertainment. Hopping on a Marquette bus to go to the Indianapolis Symphony Pops concerts or other activities couldn't be more convenient. Best of all are the people at Marquette, both residents and staff. They are like family. We have lived here 2 1/2 years, and I know we made the best decision when we chose Marquette.

Marquette has everything I need. A nice apartment, good meals that Marquette is known for; bus service to my doctors, to the grocery, to the symphony, etc.. Programs in a large auditorium that includes documentaries, Hollywood movies, talks by good and knowledgable speakers, live music by enjoyable local musicians, etc. A library. A bank, a small shop for those necessities. We also have a athletic center run under contract with Indiana University National Institute of Fitness and Sports with planned group classes for all levels of ability. From reasonably healthy when we come in, to classes that help us us keep our O2 levels up and/ or keep functioning. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained by professionals. Marquette feels safe. Is safe. Security and nursing help are a call button away. Also important: the staff knows us by name: we are individuals. Residents tend to be people who have been accomplished in some area of life. Interesting people. We don't all vote the same, but we do not go there in our conversations..

We moved into Marquette almost 3 years ago, knowing no one in Indianapolis except our daughter and her family. We count our blessings daily for having made such a wise choice. Life doesn't get any better! It's always been a warm, welcoming, friendly place with activities, programs, events, entertainment, and outings to meet many interests. There are so many opportunities available to enjoy every day. Wish we had done it years ago!

My husband and I moved into a cottage here 8 years ago. I now live alone with my cat. We were able to choose the decor including new cabinets and kitchen and bathroom fixtures. We felt like we were at home from the first day. I am satisfied with our choice and tell others so. We enjoy being able to walk through the pond area to the Manor to take advantage of the MAC and other facilities. We are also close to friends in the city and to shopping. My recent lengthy stay in the renovated Health care Center was a mixed bag. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated and arranged. The food was not good: salty and often not appealing, and I didn't get what I ordered more often than not. The staff seemed to be on a treadmill and were often annoyed to be asked for needed services. Some exceptions went out of their way to be helpful though. One aide finally offered me a shower in mid-evening. Only once in 3 weeks. Even with knee replacement surgery, I was able to cover my leg with a shower curtain and get cleaned up once in a while. The shower was beautifully designed for a person in my condition, but, if I hadn't been able to be self-reliant, I am not confident I would have received the needed service. Shannon Hofmann went out of her way to lend me her phone for several days while I was getting phone problems straightened out. With regard to the questionnaire, response for maintenance service, It is generally satisfactory and often very satisfactory. However, Fter 8 years, my cottage is up for repainting, etc., and a request for Guida ce went unanswered early in the year and again this last week. The activities offered are very satisfactory. In fact, the staff pays amazing attention to what is available in t Indianapolis and within the community here. Housekeeping is satisfactory again after the COVID problems with staffing and safety. I do recommend Marquette to Fri ends and family.

I moved here a year ago. All my friends and family comment that this is like living in a resort. Beautiful grounds, apartment set up per my specifications and varied and numerous activities available. Flat linen laundry services and housekeeping provided. A maintenance dept a call away. An indoor pool, hot tub, exercise equipment and 2 certified instructors. Aqua classes, step and core classes, yoga, tai chi and so much more offered. No extra charge! Once here, u can be under one roof for life (Independent living, assisted care and nursing care ). U will not find a more friendly staff ANYWHERE. Schedule a tour and judge for yourself.

We've lived at Marquette in the Manors apartments for 3 years and are very glad we made the move when we were healthy. We are able to take advantage of the many activities available to us, the fitness center, beautiful pool, walking paths and lots of entertaining and educational events offered every month. We were very pleased that our apartment was refurbished to our specifications. We were able to design the floor plan, select colors, flooring and cabinets. We encourage anyone planning to make a move to a senior community, that they do it when they want to not when they have to.
