As a retired healthcare provider from the area, I was well aware of the excellent medical and nursing care that was given to the Greenwood Village South residents of the Assisted and Nursing Care Units, having attended to several of these patients during acute hospital admissions… This had a direct impact on our decision to choose Greenwood Village South for our retirement community. We were told "you're too young" by friends and some family. Being "younger" afforded us the opportunity to take advantage of the innumerable wellness, intellectual, cultural, and spiritually enriching programs, courses and activities offered . None of us plans on needing nursing care, but life changing events occur unexpectedly. We are comforted knowing that our continuing care arrangements have been made, and we will not have to face the additional stress of suddenly moving into a new living arrangement, should such a life changing event occur. We teach Through the Ages Fitness classes at GWVS! I would highly recommend this location, especially the activities they provide for their residents. Mary, the activities director, does a wonderful job with her staff to get the residents engaged! Not only that, her and her staff are super supportive and are always looking for great ways to entertain the residents at GWVS!

If I ever have to live in assisted living or an advanced care facility, I would choose Greenwood Village South. My mother lived there for 18 months until she passed away. Her care was great . The nurses treated her like family and I believe truly loved her. While she lived there she seemed happy and well cared for. I could never have found a better place with such caring nurses. Thank you GVS for making her end of life pleasurable.

My brother has been a resident of GVS for 10 years after my mother passed away. He is the youngest resident at 48 years old. GVS has always been good to my brother and to myself, particularly Ashley the Director of Nursing and Keith Dickens, who is a member of the maintenance staff. Just this past week GVS surprised my brother and myself with VIP package to the Steve Nicks concert. We both were so excited and are so grateful for the memory we will always share.

Greenwood Village South is the best facility around. I wouldn't consider placing a family member any where else! My mom and mother in law lived their final days at the pavilion. I have an Uncle that lives in the independent living apartments and another Uncle that was just here for short term rehab. BEST PLACE EVER!!!
