Reviews The Towne House Retirement Community
July 2026
Mom and Dad moved into The Towne House in 2010 and lived in the Independent Living Residences for years. The accommodations were lovely and they kept very busy socially with all the fun events, trips, celebrations etc. As my mother’s health declined, she needed more assistance and eventually finished her time in the skilled care unit. The staff was amazing as they cared for her and also supported my father during this time. My father continued to live independently until 3 years ago when we, with the support of their staff, made the difficult decision to move him to skilled care. EVERYONE that came into contact with Dad was caring, patient, kind, and skilled at their role; meal service, housekeeping, aides, nurses, social workers, case managers, physical therapy, activities director, exercise therapy.. They genuinely cared about him! A handful of his favorite staff even went to the local hospital to visit him during a short stay recently. The turnover rate is so low, many people who cared for my mom, who passed in 2015, are still there and comment on remembering her. And it’s not just the residents that they care for. My sister and I both live out of state. At all times, the staff was amazing about keeping us in the loop and communicating what was going on with our father, as well as including us in whatever decisions needed to be made on Dad’s behalf. When he was in his last few weeks, they were concerned about our well being as well, supporting us, making sure we were ok, and really just acting more like family. My son in law lives out of state and is starting to explore assisted living for his grandfather. I told him I hope he can find a place exactly like The Towne House!!

The facility and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The staff here are great. From maintenance, housekeeping, food service to the nurses and aides and administrators, they are all caring and compassionate. My parents lived here for 16 years, starting out living independently in an apartment and eventually living out their last days in the Health Care Center. My sister and I live out of state, so it was very important to us to know that they were well taken care of and that we were always kept informed of any changes or concerns in their health and well being.

I spent 3 weeks here in the rehab unit following back surgery. The staff and surroundings could not have been more accommodating. Every place was decorated and set up tastefully. The staff was always willing to help make me comfortable. The food service is awesome. There is an executive chef on staff and every meal is amazing. If you wish you can choose an alternative item. When I got ready to return home I realized I had truly been spoiled.

I came to the Towne House from a 10 day stay at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Right from the beginning, the van driver secured me and my wheel chair safely and engaged me in pleasant conversation during our trip. I was assigned to room 210 and a parade of nurses, social workers, and care givers began three weeks of caring and excellent service. Response was prompt when I used the call button, and the staff went right to work - all the while letting me know what they were doing and why. This made me feel like I was involved in my treatment and was greatly appreciated. A shout out to the Food Service staff, who catered to my particular tastes and was highly responsive. PT and OT were seen almost daily and I started to gain strength in my legs and arms. All in all, the Towne House and their incredible staff provided me with great care! Bill Raftree

Our mom lived at Towne House for 5-1/2 years before she passed away. She started in independent living then transitioned during COVID to assisted memory care and then after another year to full service memory care. During each move, while it was tough and stressful for her and our family, the staff in each level of care had so much patience and worked with her to make her feel comfortable. She was cared for, made friends and was in a safe environment. We were always involved with care plan meetings and our concerns were always addressed promptly.
