My grandparents have lived here for the last 3 years. I can not thank the staff of Fort Armstrong enough for the amount of care and help that they provide to their residents. Every single staff member from the office to the nurses station are rock stars in taking care of the residents! They have always been great about calling me when my grandparents needs anything.

I toured this community for care and was happy with the staff. The community is very nice and they have a lot of different care options. They offer a healthy menu and a good list of activities. We would recommend this community for families to tour for the care of a loved one.

Any sort of move for a person that has dementia can be overwhelming and traumatic well that was my mom. The overall move was a little overwhelming for her but with some medication adjustments things are starting to settle down and she is starting to relax and adjust to her new surroundings. She loves going downstairs or go outside the landscaping is lovely and talks and interact with the other residents and the staff. The food seems to be the ok mom is eating but she can be picky at times so she may not eat everything she is given. The location of the community is great it is only 5 minutes from my house so that I feel comfortable

A place where the staff really cares about you. The key word is the STAFF. If you are going to see the same people everyday you may as well have a good attitude and try to make connections and build relationships. Thats what they do at The Fort. Residents become family! I might be biased but the Housekeeping Supervisor is pretty much the best person in this world and The Fort is lucky to have her!

My father has lived there since 2005 since then theres been plenty of changes. But one thing that hasnt changed is the staff there genuinely care for my father and he feels like The Fort is his home and he belongs there.

Caring
We placed my mother-in-law in Fort Armstrong. It is nice, close by, and we have church members who are also staying there. The staff is very friendly, and I notice that they care about the residents. The nurse that we deal with is very concerned and caring about my mom. She knows my mother-in-law has dementia, and they know she is feisty. They help us to go about her finances, and they talk to her doctor about her medical records. My mother-in-law is in an apartment, and we are able to place a love seat, a sofa, a recliner, and her TV. She has a room for her twin size bed and a dresser with a mirror. She has a closet and a shower. My husband enjoys the food. They had activities like singing, dancing, and bingo. We recommended them to my husband's friend.
