Bickford house has beautiful building. Apartments are spacious and clean. I’m a caretaker and I work well with the staff. Outstanding staff includes Rosetta CNA and Lucy LPN both with a heart of gold. Going above and beyond their jobs. The residents are engaged in activities and outings.

My sister was there for a short time before she passed, at no fault of the staff. She said the food was good ,sometimes not so good, but the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a full kitchen so a family member can go and cook something for them or if they are capable, they can pop a dinner in the microwave.

I am a resident here at Bickford and this weekend especially the food and the wheelchair bound! We had no menu to pick from help good us what we would eat and gave out one plate at a time. The residents in W/C's did not get to their rooms until after 6pm unless another resident takes them. So many people are angry over the poor quality food, and care. No one were happy, many eat alone if they ate all. Some had family members said this a Nursing Home. Do we have no hope?

The staff there are wonderful I always enjoyed coming into work the residents and staff made my day. Whenever you have a bad morning they always know how to get you to laugh their like family it's good to be in a place where it's more home like.

My mother has lived at Bickford since Oct 2021. There has been a great shortage of health care workers across the country, and Bickford has also suffered from staffing issues. However, I've found the people who work there to be kind and caring, despite the hardships of being short staffed. My mom enjoys living there. Before discounting Bickford because of low reviews, I would suggest paying them a visit.

The low reviews are for Bickford of Peoria Memory Care NOT for Bickford House. Bickford of Peoria Memory Care is located at 2000 W Willow Knolls Dr Peoria, IL 61614. Different management teams are located at each facility. Bickford House is an elegant facility meticulously kept and upgraded. Residents enjoy order from the menu sit down meals that are all prepared fresh and on site by their own chef and staff. Apartment rent includes meals, weekly laundry, utilities, emergency neck worn button and bathroom and bedroom pull cords, satellite TV, etc. Apartments are equipped with kitchens with full sized stove, refrigerator, countertops and cupboards. Walk in showers. A level of care determines what services are needed for each resident. A constant flow of provided activities are included, there is a library, family meeting room, the GREAT room, elevator to navigate the 3 floors. Residents are encouraged to make their apartment their own, hanging pictures on walls, bringing their familiar furniture and furnishings. Maintenance includes 2 men on site that immediately respond to the smallest need. Jori, the facility director is not only extremely personable but also thorough with follow through even to details. Cost is below the average in Peoria. Assistance is provided in applying for benefits, insurance, etc. On top of all this Bickford House is pet friendly!!!

It's one of the nicest, secure and clean place I've visited in Peoria. The staff is also nice and helpful. It's definitely worth checking out.

Met and exceeded our expectations. This is definitely at the top of our list as a home for our father. We were greeted as family upon arrival and it just continued from there. Bickford had everything our father needed to feel independent and safe.

Everything is going pretty well for my brother here. The staff is great; theyre friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to be taking good care of him. We go down to visit and he is always dressed and showered. The director, [Removed], has been really good with him. [Removed]visits my brother a lot, only my husband and I visit from time to time so my brother doesnt get a lot of company, so he enjoys it when others engage with him. She is also very accessible, even through text message; she is there almost 24 hours I dont think she ever leaves. They are very attentive to folks. He likes the food, which was the first hurdle because hes a picky eater. They make it by scratch and they can make somethings on request. There is also dont pressure us with moving him to permanent living. There is no signing a contract only a 30 days notice which I like. I really cant say a bad thing about this place.
