The Grand is the most gorgeous modern Indp. senior living building in the suburbs. They have the friendliest staff and cleanest facility! The staff always goes above and beyond for their residents. They have great activities and exercise classes as well! I highly recommend the Grand at Twin Lakes for your loved ones!

My senior friends & I have been invited to & have participated in several activities sponsored by the staff at The Grand to date. These activities are carefully thought out & well prepared to address our interests and activity level. Hello. My name is Laurence (Larry) Harris I moved here on December 22, 2020. I came from a nursing home called Elevate Care in Riverwoods Illinois which is an excellent nursing home. However, After researching (vetting) many assisted-living and independent living facilities and chose the Grand at Twin Lakes was the best solutiom for me. I was referred by a nice lady, soon to be family, who is a resident called Marcy B. Her grandson and my daughter are together and buying house, soon to be engaged and married. After checking out manyalternatives; and based on my daughters assessment and Marcys liking of Grand Twin Lakes I decided with out even going for a tour and thier word that this would be a great fit for me. am pretty self-sufficient but did need the backing for potential nursing etc. After being here a couple of weeks and able to take advantage of the amenities, dining, activities etc. I feel very comfortable! The administration the staff in general and the residents are all extremely friendly and nice. It was special in the sense that I felt at home here.Compared to the others that were suggested to me from different agencies this is more; for a lack of better term, resort-ish and a lot of freedom in these horrific times all experiencing. In fact tomorrow 9 February we will be getting our first back vacsine shots and that is due to the persistence of the administration here! Thats only the beginning.Beside the administration, the food, maintenance; the activities (including the pool, the fitness center, business center, library, theater etc.) I give the highest remarks you can give. And as I said before the people and everybody are very cognitive and friendly.am very happy that I chose this place for my days left. I have Parkinsons, Lewy body and diabetes2. There is zero covid in this place. And everybody follows the CDC guidelines which is very important. I highly recommend this place to any that I have been told to check out. In fact, feel free to call me at 224-531-8838 (personal number). Although I have been here for a short time I know this place extremely intimately and would love to answer any question you may have. I am extremely well-educated and know that once you to talk to me you will not only a friend but a resident here.If you give me proper notice I would be more than happy to have you come out for a tour with the assistance of our administrator Kelly and, or the director of sales Judy and get you set up. Very smooth and simple process. I know because I just recently did it myselfI wrote this review using a software I developed for voice recognition. Or it would have taken me a week apposed to a short time of thought.

This community is wonderful for my mother. She is living independently now and I am glad we found this clean, warm and friendly senior community. She is happy to live in her beautiful apartment and she loves the food and the staff. We are very pleased she is safe and happy!

The Grand is a great independent living community with many amenities. The apartments are beautiful and spacious. Three meals a day are included in rent, and each day there are various activities and events to choose from. The community includes an indoor pool, movie theater, pool table, game room, and full service bar to name a few of the amenities. The proximity to Twin Lakes in Palatine makes for lovely walks just outside the back door, or you can stick around in the courtyard with beautiful gardens and seating areas. I would highly recommend looking at The Grand if youre considering downsizing or looking for a close knit community.The staff go out of their way each and every day to ensure residents are safe and happy, which is especially appreciated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

My 94 year old mother has lived at The Grand for 2 years now. The facility and staff provide her with everything we were looking for, security & privacy in her own little studio apartment. The meals have always been plentiful & tasty and of course, shes a regular at happy hour.Recently, we had an urgent need for a hospital bed for her and due to a Medicare error, were not able to get one for her in a timely fashion.So, not knowing what else to do, I called MelissaC , the director and she was right on it. She was so enthusiastically willing to help find a solution and now my Mom is set up to get a replacement bed when the medicare supplier picks up the old one. What a relief for us as a family and so refreshing to work with someone willing to think outside the box and to take on a task that wasnt really her responsibility. As she stated we just want to make sure our residents are taken care of.Thank you for going above & beyond Melissa C.f your looking for a new place for a senior relative to live, seriously consider The Grand.With gratitude,A grateful daughter

Our work environment is positive and rewarding with a focus on providing our residents with the best. You dont need to work at the Grand to tell that our staff cares about what they do here!

I was looking for a warm, clean and very kind place for my parents. As soon as I walked through the doors the staff was very welcoming. This place really stood out to me. One of the best retirement communities I have visited so far. The front desk lady was friendly and well informed. I felt like this is a great place to have my love ones at and knowing they have a wonderful staff to assist them, makes me feel a lot better.

I just had an amazing experience with the staff at Grand at a Twin Lakes. I had a flat tire while driving on the expressway. I pulled off the highway at the exit and pulled into the parking lot at the Grand. I did not have my cell phone and went into the lobby to ask to use the phone. When I told the receptionist what happened she gave me the phone. Another staff person, I believe the director then came and when she found out what happened asked one of the kitchen staff, Ray, to check if I had a spare tire. He checked and then offered to change the tire for me in the cold. He was so competent at doing it and couldnt be more helpful. I was given a drink of water and offered the rest room facilities. I was impressed with the caring and personal touch I was given. The facility was beautiful and the residents there were all greeted by name as they walked around. I would certainly look into this option if I needed senior living. My thanks to Ray and all the staff who so generously helped me get back home. You should all be proud of your service and business at the Grand at a Twin Lakes.nn Dodge

I proud to say l am a resident of this beautiful facility for over one year! The staff is outstanding and they go out of their way to be there to be there for us. There is no time to be bored. Pick your poison and if we dont have it you can start your own activity. Enough said but did I mention the residents ? A nice happy group! And add to all that is Happy Hour every day from 3:00 to 4:00.

I have seen many retirement communities in the Chicago suburbs and this is one stands out. A clean fresh environment with fun employees making people happy. Seniors are proud to live at the Grand, youll see why when you walk through the front door. I cant wait to retire.
