My mother has lived here for a year and a half now. I cannot say enough good about Heritage Woods. My mom is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. In her moments of confusion, the staff at HW seem to know just what to do to calm and comfort her. They show so much individualized care by treating the residents as if they were family. Everyone here is phenomenal in their own way, but I have to give a special shout out to Gail (house keeper) who is the sweetest most caring woman, Tracy (director of activities), and Anna (Business Manager) who on more than one occasion have reached out to me directly when mom was having a bit of a melt down or an extra bad moment of confusion. I recommend HW to everyone I know with elderly family members that need a little extra care.

It's nice to know my mom is being taken care of. Heritage seems to be kept clean, food always looks good and staff is great. Her meds are regulated and blood sugar tested regularly. Staff always seems happy, which leads me to believe that it isnt only a great facility, but a great work place as well. You dont see that often anymore!

HW of Ottawa has been a welcome relief as a residence for my mother. They are kind, compassionate, communicative, accommodating and caring. The administrator and nurse are extremely responsive to questions and concerns, especially when mom is having a tough time of things. I would recommend HW to anyone and everyone! I would live there myself if I had to.

I am very impressed with the quality of professional, patient and gentle care my parents receive daily since they moved in to Heritage Woods. This is especially impressive since they moved in during the COVID-19 pandemic. My parents adjusted well and enjoy the staff as well as the extra amenities such as laundry and meal service. I know as things are able to open back up, they will enjoy all the activities and functions that will be available again. I appreciate the option to send photographs to be printed and delivered, plus the technology made available to my parents to Zoom. My parents absolutely enjoy these perks, too. I have also appreciated the good communication and quick feedback regarding questions and requests I have. The staff is more than willing to go above and beyond for my parent's safety, care and happiness, and they are always so genuinely friendly. My parents feel safe and are content. My mom has been at Heritage Woods since July 2020. She is 92 years old and has dementia. I can’t say enough good about this facility. My mom has settled in well and always tells me how nice the staff is and how good the food is. The staff is absolutely wonderful and everyone is always so friendly when I talk to them. It’s been hard not being able to see my mom, but I feel better knowing that she is being well taken care of. Keep up the good work!

My Dad has been at Heritage for 3 months and we can’t be happier! Today they had a Mother’s Day Brunch and welcomed family members at no charge. This brunch was a $30 meal at any other place! Made to order omelettes, waffles, fresh fruit, fried chicken and sliced beef, and I could just go on and on! Fabulous food but the staff make the place! Heritage Woods is a gem!
