My dear friend has a father who was just admitted there so far. They have had nothing but a wonderful experience. The staff has been very friendly with them. And the chef even stopped by his room to ensure that he liked the food and told him he's happy to make him anything he would like to eat. The entire staff had balloons and posters to welcome him upon his arrival.I hope that the rest of his stay at hartus is just as good as the first few days have been for him and his family. As of this very minute I would recommend this place to family and friends. However, I will be monitoring how things are going and updating the Google review. So everybody can make sure that their loved ones are taken care of properly…

She is excellent in her communications with us over what has been done or needs to be done. My mom has been at Heartis for 3.5 years. Her daytime caregiver, Carmen is wonderful with mom. Carmen is compassionate and patient. She cleverly interacts with my mom and keeps interactions positive even when mom can be difficult. Melinda takes care of my mom in the evenings. She always welcomes my mom as if my mom is a family member. She is truly a delightful nurse. Eric is a charming caregiver that my mom follows around. He is very attentive and always lets my mom know when he's going to be back. She needs to know when she will see her buddy again as she talks to him non stop. Cheryl is the head nurse that knows everyone and her door is always open. Cheryl wears many hats and has a way of making everyone feel special. Thank you to all the caregivers at Heartis. They are all angels!!!

My dad has been a resident in memory care for the past 2 1/2 years. I can't say enough about how wonderful Heartis Senior Living facility is. Especially the caregivers who are there everyday with our loved ones. They have become family and treat all the residents with love and compassion. My Mom was a resident on the memory care side of Heartis for 8 months before she passed away. She had been at a different facility for one year prior that was very poorly run. This was not the case with Heartis! Heartis was beautiful and clean. Wonderful residents and families. The fact that Heartis does not use registry caregivers was very important to our family. My mother would see the same familiar faces every day and that was very important, especially in memory care. The caregivers and staff became like family to her and to us. They were so kind and caring. The work they do is priceless. While no place can replace home, if you are in need of care for a loved one, I would highly recommend Heartis.

Heartis senior living is nothing short of amazing! By nature of work, I interact with numerous assisted living facilities and Heartis continues to impress me. My grandma has been at heartis for just over a year and I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, the facilities are beautifully kept and impeccably clean. The food served is delicious! The Memory Care Director, Erica, is an angel placed here on earth to love, entertain and care for the elderly. Danielle and the team have been the most beautiful and kind hearted souls I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Danielle leads a team that goes above and beyond making sure every last need is met. Heartis has been life saviors and incredible caregivers since day one. I cannot thank Erica, Danielle and the entire Heartis community enough for all you have done for my family.

Heartis was my first choice after shopping around the Orland Park, IL area for Assisted Living home for my father. After meeting with Cary at Heartis Orland Park, I knew immediately that this would be his new home! The team was very responsive from the nurses to the front desk. The place is so clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff is amazing and very attentive to all my fathers needs. Heartis provides transportation to local doctors visits. This is so important since my father needs dialysis three times per week. I am very happy that Heartis helps get my father get to all appointments on time and safely when I am unable to do so. The Heartis team truly cares and makes my father feel like family.

I have not yet been able to visit my mom and dad (in house) because of the virus yet. I speak daily to my dad by phone and he speaks so highly about the staff. The idea of the visitor shed is really perfect to visit my parents. Its clean,warm and cozy. There is a six foot distance,window is opened to the inside of the building making it so easy to speak with each other. The staff is so loving to my parents it almost makes me jealous. I thank all of the staff at Heartis. Im waiting for the day when your doors will once again open and my family and I can walk in . Cant wait to walk in and hug my parents and meet each staff member to thank you in person.

During Covid we have had very little contact with our loved one in memory care. We appreciate the caregivers that have taken extra time and reached out to us. Weve been updated on day to day activities with a FaceTime phone call, supply needs (Erica F), a picture of his new haircut and shave (Erica and Morgan), his health and medications (Renee S.) and especially helping him make his phone calls (Michael M.). Since we cant be there ourselves, we call to be greeted by a receptionist (Linda, Helen and Katherine) you know that they will take care of your needs. I know that I havent mentioned everyone that does an outstanding job, but I have mentioned our heros that we have been in contact with during this unusual time. Thank you Heartis Healthcare Heros!!!

In my 13 years as a nurse I dont think Ive met anyone as caring, compassionate, devoted, and involved as Erica and Morgan! I watch these amazing ladies go above and beyond for the residents day in and day out. They are so involved and hands on with the residents from the smallest things to the most important. They truly care about each residents well being and treat them all like part of their family. Angela Pruett is doing a wonderful job in her role with Heartis. She is constantly working on new ways to improve things for the better of the residents and her staff. She is greatly appreciated. I also must say Tierra, Bridgette, Cindy, Micheal, Olivia, Kelle, Liz, and Candyce are some of the caregivers I get frequent compliments on from residents and that I also see doing an extraordinary job! HEALTHCARE HERO REVIEW I am writing this review on behalf of my grandmother, a current resident at Heartis Village of Orland Park. The residents were asked to nominate their healthcare hero in the form of a Google review. My grandmother has nominated Cathleen R. Stevens. My grandma shared her thoughts with me and this is what I gathered from our conversation. Cathleen is a soft-spoken young woman who always has a smile on her face. Her dedication to Heartis is evident in the way she cares for its residence and you can tell there is a genuine concern for ones welfare. Cathleen is a hard worker and always takes the time to chat to my grandma when bringing her meals, which are spread very neatly on her tray. She puts anything in the refrigerator that needs to be kept cold and is always mindful to bring a few extra creamers for her coffee. The quality care Cathleen extends to the residence is a testament to her relationship with her family. During conversations, my grandma has discovered that Cathleens work ethic is attributed to this loyal unit fostered by an exceptional mother – they are all for one and one for all. It is for this reason that my grandma is nominating Cathleen as Heartis Healthcare Hero! On a personal note, I am happy that my grandma has caring employees to keep her company during this uncertain time. It has been absolutely painful for families to not be able to drop in, visit and hug their loved ones given the strict restrictions put in place to protect residence from covid19. I am happy she is able to ride this familial isolation out with the company of the caregivers at Heartis Orland Park. I must admit I am jealous about all the quality time they get with my grandma! Cant wait for the doors to finally open so we can give her a big hug and share a meal! Hopefully soon!!!

I cannot offer enough praise for Nurse Renee Sankey. She goes out of her way to ensure my Mom is doing the best to live her healthiest. She alerts me of issues with Moms meds and shares details about Moms well-being. Renee is super responsive even outside of her working hours. Its so comforting to know that I have eyes and ears regarding Moms status during times when I cannot be there....and in 2020, I am not able to be there 80% of the time. Thank you Renee!! Additionally, I have thoroughly appreciated partnering with Angela Pruitt to resolve care concerns for my Mom. She is pleasant, responsive, enthusiastic and treats my every request with the appropriate sense of urgency. I have been pleased connecting with her and she gives me confidence in knowing that my concerns are addressed.

If it wasnt for the staff at Heartis in memory care, my family and I would have had a difficult time surviving. Thankfully Erica and Morgan came to Heartis Memory Care before Covid began. They were able to get to know my father and all of his talents and special needs and get to know us as well. As a family, one of us have seen him every single day the last 2 1, 2 years, so Covid was very difficult for us. We know he feels love and Erica and Morgan have been able to portray that to him and have become essential in how he is thriving! They have done everything from cutting his nails, trying to shave him, cleaning out his closets and most importantly, sending us videos and pictures almost daily and that is appreciated beyond words. The relationships between the physicians and the residents here are similar to the Doctor and patient relationship to the ones at your home. Food is different as any menu in the south suburbs, quality of the food is outstanding and portions are really well.
