I just had a visit with my dearest friend who now is in the memory care at American House Senior Living. I worried as it was a big adjustment for her, but soon noticed the love and compassion the staff had towards the residents and guests that come in. A very lovely young girl Kiara welcoming us in as she held a fun baking activity. I have come now many times and she always has something new for the residents and she is absolutely wonderful always running around and helping others. Jess the Memory Care Director is also wonderful and kind as she spoke to my friend and encouraged her to get her hair done and made her look wonderful and special!These ladies run that place well. I have peace knowing that she is in good hands with those two ladies. Can't wait to come back!

The Memory Care at the American House Mount Prospect is phenomenal. The employees are all caring individuals that think resident first. The facility is clean the residents look and are well cared for. Starts at the top, Ms Tori. The following are only a few of the wonderful staff that work there: Jessica, David, Bouchra, Ching, Renu, Cheryl, Rochelle. These staff members treat our family members as if they are there own. The disease’s that cause family to be placed in a memory care facility are horrible but the staff here understand that and have treated my family member with respect, care and love.... Thank you all and Im sorry I forgot more names....If your family member needs a MC facility or even Assisted Living this is one you should definately look at

Since American House has taken over this senior living facility, they have implemented some wonderful changes, specifically in the activities the residents are engaged in. Whenever I come to visit all the staff is extremely welcoming and busy helping the residents. I often find my mother doing an activity or a game lead by Kiera or Jessica. It is great to see her so engaged!

Before coming to live at AHMP my mom lived with us for 2 years, which was the hardest thing we were blessed to do and certainly gave us a baseline from which to determine institutional care when we finally came to that decision. I'm not sure what stage of dementia mom has, but her decline while living with us was very slow but real, so when we finally realized we were not enough for her we researched 12 places and chose AHMP. Mom became a resident in the memory care unit in early March 2025 just as the transition to new management was happening. So while I can't opine on what it was like before March 1st all I can say is that we have been very pleased with our mother's care. She continues to be, for now, a little bit higher functioning in that she is able to speak clearly, feed herself, and is not incontinent. That said, she can't remember what she just said 2 minutes earlier but she is very clear in her repetition (smile), continues to have a great sense of humor, and is happy, which I attribute to her good care. So we are pleased that she is eating, being engaged, socializing - she has a friend, which is just lovely and something I did not fully appreciate until I saw how it makes her happy - sleeping well, and is clean. The staff, especially Jessica and Ciara, and all the nurses and aides are very attentive and caring and get involved with the activities, whether recreational, social-emotional or lifestyle, like when mom needs her hair cut (on-site) they will go with her and use it as an opportunity to engage her. The monthly family nights and support groups are great, I appreciate being able to call them to check on mom or ask questions, and I love meeting other residents' family members. As long as my mother continues to smile and is, as my brother says, happy-go-lucky, I have faith in and look forward to the continued attention to improvement and care that all the new staff bring to AHMP.

I would like to thank Jennifer for her outstanding work at the Mt Prospect American House. She always met us with a smile and how can I help. She has been outstanding in transitioning my brother Freddie from his home to the Mt. Prospect facility. As I told Sunny if she was my employee I would give her a raise for the work that she is doing to keep your visitors and clients happy and worry free. She is an OUTSTANDING person!

Every institution has challenges and strengths. My mother has been at Mt Prospect Senior Living almost a year now and we’ve seen some positive improvement with new management, so that’s good. Overall there’s some good people working there and the facilities are well kept.

My wife & I had an orientation meeting with Ginger (Director of Sales & Marketing) & facility tour today. We were pleasantly surprised by a sign on reception desk welcoming our planned visit with our names shown and were not required to check in via computer. We were promptly greeted & escorted to a meeting room by Ginger. This is incredibly thoughtful/friendly/courteous welcoming protocol! We got sufficient information on features, benefits, floor plans & schedule of fees in addition to brief tour of the facility. We are fully satisfied with the visit and keep it for advance planning of our potential assisted living options in the future.

If you are in assisted living, you may be fine. If in Memory Care, it leaves a lot to be desired. Again no one showed up for Memory Care Activities. This is a common occurrence. There are amenities in your contract and for $12,500. You think they would provide them. The Memory Care garden is sad. No one planted in 2 of the raised beds. It is dead and full of weeds. The last raised bead has about 4 barely alive plants. Bed time here is 6:30 for the most part.

Hi I came as an agency nurse to this place I felt so welcoming my first day here was in Christmas Day I told my family I had my best gift today for being here .the place is very clean very organized . The caregivers and CNAs are very attentive and helpful working as a team .Residents in this place are well taken care of .Food here very tasty and healthy. Thank you to everyone here . They are really giving the care that our elders deserve.I will definitely recommend this place to my loved ones .

The staff is wonderful. The food, terrible. Could you eat this? You get pleanty of sandwhiches, fries, potatoes, and pasta. Peas and carrots will make a rare appearence. This is not a balanced senior meal. You should have a protient, veggie, starch and grain, You do not get this here. Food is not edible. Someone please help these seniors.

A luxury cruise ship landed on Mt Prospect! Mom has discriminating taste and I was so happy she found a place that she wanted to live. Great choice mom!. If you think the facility is great, wait till you get to know the staff. There is no substitute for love. From the top down, without exception, they are loving and attentive. Executive Director--Christine helped my mom to the bathroom instead of focusing on the money; Director of Sales--Shelly was so patient with us and prompt in response; Memory Care Director--Veronica has a fantastic attitude with residents and family alike; LPN--Faviola is bright and caring; I thought Business Director--Allen was the concierge (I think he can get anything done); Head of Maintenance--Nick is humorous and helpful; and last but certainly not least, Executive Chef--Mark obviously loves his guests and makes a great meal! (You have to meet him and hear his Loveboat story.) He was the Executive Chef on a well known cruise line! I can't wait to get our family together for mother's day brunch. Got to go, it is time for mom to see Olga for her haircut and manicure!

In a very short period of time Mt Prospect Senior Living has developed a remarkably responsive and compassionate culture. At virtually every level, from the senior executive, sales and nursing through the aides, waitstaff and concierge, the staff is open, engaging, thoughtful and kind. (Having managed CCRC’s, this is a challenging outcome that is sought by many but achieved by few!) They practice their mantra of least restrictive setting at every point. Though requiring a more restrictive setting due to her dementia, my wife’s integration into the larger community has gone well. We take our meals there, often with wine I have brought, and my wife has made several associations which she enjoys. That the food is served restaurant style and that it is so well prepared, especially the soups, is a huge plus. Five Stars!

We feel very comfortable moving our mom to the facility. The sales reps that we have had discussions with were able to answer all of questions. We can not wait until they open. It is a small beautiful property and looking forward having our mom as a resident there.

We have been looking for an assisted living facility for our 90+ year old parents for almost a year. Like everyone in our situation, we are concerned with the safety, well being and happiness of our loved ones. For a variety of reasons including amenities, age of facility, size of apartment and availability, we had not found a suitable site. When we met with Kim, Shelly and Matt and did a virtual tour, we knew we had found the right place. We were quite impressed with the rigor Mount Prospect Senior Living is putting into the safety and security of its residents, like state of the art Covid screening and visitation, mandatory safety devices, on site RN and other skilled workers, use of pill packs, etc. When it opens soon, MPSL will be a new, beautiful one of a kind assisted living center that will meet or exceed our needs. We are excited for the Folks to make new friends, use the restaurant, coffee bar, theater, salon, exercise room and much more. A true Resort for Seniors. Judy and Tom Hund
