At least at Monmouth hospital they actually do something to treat you. I live in Oneida Illinois and was going to go to St Mary's in Galesburg and they had them in the hallway and they wouldn't have done anything said it's just jammed and send us home. Staff was friendly and professional. Plus we was seen in a timely matter.

Took our baby to ER for a rash that had spread within hours and as young parents we were concerned. DR. M said it was "probably" allergies after looking at our baby for not even a minute. Told us next time follow up with our family doctor because it wasn't an emergency and waste of resources. Found that to be pretty rude and felt like our concern wasn't important. Not to mention the hour wait it took to be seen when there were only 3 patients there.

The lady's at the desk were absolutely amazing, but how is my insurance no longer accepted there from within a month or 2 of going last? No provider in the area takes my insurance now. Very discouraged

I went in last night with possible miscarriage symptoms, the team of doctors and nurses instantly was in my room and jumped on helping me. The doctor I went in with possible miscarriage symptoms, the team of doctors and nurses instantly was in my room and checking me out. Dr. Szudera was by far my favorite ER doctor I have ever had, he was kind and acted happy and I was trying to keep in the positive spirit. Nurses Nancy and Connie were amazing as well kept the atmosphere lighthearted and were super kind and were answering all of my husbands and my questions. The tech Hannah kept making sure we were okay as we awaited lab results and was super nice aswell. Best ER experience I have ever! The only downside was the lab tech Mary Ann did not seem very educated and did not have the best bedside manner. The rest of the team thankfully made up from her downfalls. Amazing team overall!!!

This is only partly for the hospital mostly for the EMT's the helped my best friend sooo much got her prompt medical treatment and Michelle the EMT was especially great with her and to the hospital that all my life has been known as the band aid station thank you for finding an uder laying condition she nor her doctors knew about to catch and save mty best friend's lif

I just recently had to go into the ER and staff were very helpful and caring. I was treated quickly and then admitted to the hospital. The Doctors, nurses, CNAs and techs were outstanding. The menu had a good variety. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. I had the best care the time I was there. They made sure that I would be well enough to leave to go home. I will not hesitate to seek care at the OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, IL in the future. We are very fortunate to have them. Thank you!

About 2 weeks ago the clinic (5month olds doctor) just on the other side would not prescribe oral antibiotics for my daughter as she had thrush. This isn't my first baby, it isn't my first rodeo. 2 weeks of the clinic fiddling around then trying to demand her have an appointment and be seen because her doctor suggested it we just took her to the new ER. She was in and out with prescriptions within an hour. Today my 2 year old had an accident as she spilt noodle fresh out the microwave off the counter onto her foot/toes leaving a 2nd degree burn. She was in screeching pain. They were very well handling her aggressiveness when they had to give her a shot, as well as clean it, treat it and wrap it. Even with a wounded foot she left with a happy smile and cookies from her nurse! In and out within an hour! Ever since they opened the new ER, they've been amazing with kiddos!

My daughter had been vomiting for over 18 hours and I was worried she was becoming dehydrated, she has preexisting conditions and I thought she needed to be evaluated and have fluids. She was told no beds were available and to go sit outside to wait. 45 minutes later we left and went home to try and get fluids in her. ER called after 2 hours wanting to know where she went! All night she continued to vomit. So again we take her to the ER, hopefully she can get help. She was told her preexisting conditions were not true because they're not in the computer and if she needs to come back in she needs to be vomiting for days. I know that the medical profession is stressed and spread thin but, this is ridiculous.

My family and I always go to this hospital because we have to. In the ten years we've visited this place we have gone in with many different ailments. Most of the time everything is great! Its just when we need tests done and read that they fail. I very clearly had pneumonia and the er doc told me I didn't because whoever read my test didn't see it. Two months later I go to see a specialist and he literally glanced at my x-ray and saw the pneumonia. In addition to this, many times it takes days to have your tests read and analyzed. Another couple of times my doctor has ordered tests and said scheduling will call me. They waited two weeks to call me, and by then they had to reorder the test because it had expired, then they ordered the wrong test and had to cancel my appointment without notifying me beforehand, then they were rude on the phone when they called me again to reschedule. Testing and scheduling are the two huge important balls this hospital drops regularly. Another time I was very sick, and there was a possibility I would have to have emergency surgery. The nurse who took down my vitals and history wrote that I am nearly 100 -yes- ONE HUNDRED pounds heavier than I am. I think She was blind because another 100 lbs in me would be pretty obvious. She is really lucky I didn't end up needing surgery because she would have had the anesthetist kill me! Do yourself a favor and say your weight in simple numbers such as "one - five - zero" otherwise they might kill you!

Absolutely amazing hospital. Had to go to the Emergancy Department and they got me back in a room extremely fast. The staff, nurses and The Doctors(the doctor I had, at least) are really nice, sweet and caring. It only took the doctor about 5 minutes to come evaluate me after I had gotten in the room. He was very thorough and showed amazing empathy. The best part to me was that they actually care about you; you aren't just a number or just another person they have to see. They treat you like an actual human being and most other hospitals treat you like a burden. Would 100% recommend this hospital to anyone.
