Snyder Village has a locked memory care unit as part of their assisted living program. While they do provide some programming, they are not equipped to deal with the range of challenges experienced or exhibited by persons living with dementia. There is minimal care planning with medical providers or behavioral management specialists. Care planning and collaborative decision making with family is woefully lacking. There are far better memory care services available in the area.

This is by Luanne Root- Snyder is my place to call home and the best move I ever made. I love my duplex and feel actual relief at downsizing. It was made so easy by Snyder and the organizer they gave us the name of to help us. I never saw a bill for our move and it went so smoothly. The staff here are wonderful and helpful and it is worry free living. I never have to hire someone to fix anything and they are right here to do it. Its care for life so I will never have to move to an unfamiliar facility. Everything I need is available in town and what a lovely town it is with the beautiful square and the history here. Ive been here going on 4years and feel I made a great decision!!!!Many new friends and wonderful activities to attend. Thank You Snyder and great staff.

A big Thank You to the people at Snyder Village for making my dads therapy fun for him. He tells us that they dont do therapy with him anymore but he is thinking of going into the therapy room. Snyder Village creates activities everyday that is the therapy. The great work their staff is doing is paying off. The whole family thanks you for all you do and thanks for keeping him safe.

Great place to live and transition as you get older. All options for whatever life brings you, cottage living, apartment living, assisted living, and nursing center care. Its been great for my in-laws.

I am very happy living here at Snyder Assisted Living. I am glad I made the decision to come here myself. My family did not have to talk me into it. . My husband and I made the plans ourselves because I had Parkinson's and he had COPD. We came here because there is a nursing home here, that guaranteed us a bed should we need it.Every one is very helpful and welcoming.. My family does not have to worry about me and they can go and come as they please. I like to be independent. Of course, I could't function without their help.. Snyder takes me to the Doctor and Dentist here in Metamora and my family take me to other area doctors or shopping as I need. It's a great place to call home. Mary Jones

This senior care facility is all encompassing. Their sole goal is to better the lives of individuals and families by providing services and housing for all different needs. Every time I tour this facility I'm impressed. It's truly a campus that offers something for everyone. From retirement living with plenty of space to roam, to skilled care, they have it all and it's packaged beautifully. Their top level staff with their hearts of gold, put the finishing touches on a warm loving facility.

Staff is so helpful during difficult life changes and needs of loved ones. I love that residents are not made to feel stupid or incapable but focus is on dignity. Yesterday they had "babies day out" and staff brought in their little ones to play inside a large circle of residents. It was Fabulous! Oh the smiles and laughter! Thanks!

My mom has been there quite a while and its the best of everything there but it is kinda far when you consider we live in peoria and its in metamora but we wouldnt still like her anywhere but Snyder Village.

This is a wonderful facility with great continuum of care. My mother and father both lived there. We experienced years there from apartment living to end stage Alzheimer care. The staff was wonderful and truly cared for their physical and emotional needs.
