I have worked at MRHCC for almost 13 years. I love being a nurse and being a nurse at MRHCC. I love the residents & family members alike. I can't imagine working anywhere else. My co-workers are great to work with.

We've had our father here for 3 years and the doctors and staff nurses ext have done exlent job I'm proud of all of them

Cons: Facility is old, lacking supplies to do resident care, rooms are small and overcrowded, lack of housekeeping. The facility has two dogs one is friendly and the other is mean. Administrative staff and agency workers friendly, regular CNA's are standoffish.

Nurses and rehabilitatiion staff are caring and provide professional care to the residents. CNA have been pleasant to work with. Food at this facility is excellent. As usual for any Nursing Home there is high turnover and and a learning curve for each new employee that is hired. Hopefully with the wage increases they will be able to keep staff more long term. I give them 4 stars. This is a very hard working team and deserve praise for the care they give their residents.

My family has had nothing but the best care at MHC. Through the years we have had several family members in their care and would highly recommend. Their nurses truly care for the residents and work above and beyond.

I am very happy with Mattoon rehabilitation and Healthcare my only complaint is they need to check more often on a hospice patient and turn them every 1 to 2 hours and when they say they take care of something not tell a family member it's done when you come to visit ita not so.Butt other wise everything is great

I cannot express how glad I am that I decided to go to Mattoon Rehabilitation and Healthcare for a couple of weeks after my knee revision. The nursing staff, the wonderful food, the whole therapy department, absolutely everyone here has worked so hard for me and with me to reach my recovery goals! Thank you Mattoon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!

For some reason this is coming up with my husband's name for the review but it's not him ok my name is Bobbi Miller and I work here and I have to say it's a great place to work we take care of our residents everyday we love what we do it's a job that most people wouldn't do but we at Mattoon health care enjoy it. If you need a place for your loved one please feel free and come over and take a look around
