Wonderful people. The caregivers are so kind and helpful! The community is clean and beautifully decorated. The residents look happy and well cared for.

My sister-in-law, Dannee Newton, was confined to her room as were the residents of 2 neighboring rooms because bed bugs were found in a neighboring room and they "thought they saw one" in her room. It was unconfirmed that there was any bed bug infestation in her room, yet she was confined to her room for a few a days, waiting until Friday when staff had time to do a thorough cleaning and for the exterminator to return. During her period of confinement she became more confused and stressed out. She is a very social individual and isolation upsets her greatly. She has lived at CC for two years and the Covid lock downs were very disruptive to her happiness but necessary and based on public health requirements. Confinement to her room for a "suspected bed bug" is not required by IDPH and I consider it a violation of her rights.
