When it came time for my mom to move into assisted living, Brookdale was one of our first places we toured. From the first tour with Kathleen until we finally decided to do a trial, we can't say enough good things about Brookdale! It was a big step for all of us, and theymade my mom feel comfortable right away. There is always something going on for the residents. Activities, outings, exercise, etc. The food is delicious made with fresh ingredients. We moved my parents into Brookdale Glen Ellyn the summer of 2023. Brookdale is a beautiful facility that is very well maintained. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. The staff is very caring and attentive. Lauren Meyer in marketing made moving in easy as could be! She has gone above and beyond helping my father with his technology issues. Linda Schaller with resident services is very invested in the happiness and well-being of all residents. Nerissa Miller with Brookdale At Home has been so supportive of the ever-changing assistance that my parents need. I feel confident that Brookdale is a great option for seniors looking for a supportive and welcoming community to call home.

We moved my Mom to Brookdale at the very end of Covid, after living in Oak Park for over 65 years. She was very excited to move close to us in Glen Ellyn, and begin socializing and making new friends after my Dad had passed 1 year prior. She originally moved into independent living and the transition could not have been smoother, unfortunately due to a fall (no fault of Brookdale) she needed to transition down to Assisted Living. She unfortunately was unable to enjoy so many of the social things that Brookdale offers, but was well cared for by a compassionate, competent, understanding and attentive team of nurses, caretakers, as well as Hospice. Brookdale is clean, good food, and does a wonderful job with laundry. My concerns and questions were always answered in a timely manner. The maintenance man was awesome and went above and beyond to troubleshoot and fix an issue. Brookdale is an ideal location for banking, shopping, walking around a beautiful park that's just adjacent to the facility, and also has a beautiful outdoor patio/garden where they host many social events and frequent live entertainment. I have recommended Brookdale to may people and all have been equally as happy.

My parents, like many I imagine, reluctantly moved in Brookdale Glen Ellyn in November 2022, insisting that they weren't "old". To say it has been a successful transition would be an understatement. We were originally concerned that Brookdale would be a place they slept and they'd want to spend all their waking time at our house. The reality is they are busy every day! They've embraced the tours, outings and events that Brookdale coordinates and are always on the go. Friday afternoons are definitely off limits since we know they'll be at "Mix and Mingle"! The facility is gorgeous, the food is top notch, the on-site services are convenient and the employees are caring, responsive and engaging. My parents went from watching TV alone in their house all day to now having a new zest for life!

The services provided at Brookdale Glen Ellyn were nothing more than outstanding. My Mother was cared for in a complete compassionate way. Although she was not a long time resident everyone seemed to know my Mother and welcomed her with open arms. As a family member I know she was very happy at Brookdale and I witnessed how the residents seemed very happy living in such a wonderful facility. All the staff and management were very professional and great to work with. A big shout out to the Brookdale Nursing Aids who we're at my Mothers bedside 24/7 as her health declined and we had to move her into Hospice Care. We were completely satisfied with our experience. Everyone in the facility was great to work with from the Maintenance Staff to the Hair Dresser and all the other folks who work behind the scenes like the folks in the kitchen who cut up her roast beef dinner into small pieces so that she could eat the food a little bit easier. We are very happy as a family and will endorse this facility for years to come.

The Brookdale Glen Ellyn staff was extremely helpful, caring, and patient during a difficult time while transitioning my mother from independent living to assisted living after a 3 week stay at a rehabilitation facility. They made sure her move was as seamless as possible and welcomed her home with compassion and kindness. We are both thankful and grateful.

Brookdale Glen Ellyn provides a very friendly environment, from both the residents and the staff. Members of the staff have been very friendly, and very helpful. When there have been changes in procedures due to the covid-19 pandemic, they have been very clear about the changes and the need for them. They have been very good about providing entertainment and activities while maintaining safety from the covid-19 virus.

My parents moved to Brookdale a few years ago. During the pandemic I've been able to bring groceries, visit outdoors at first and in their apartment later, and pick them up at the door. Before the pandemic I was their frequent guest in the dining room. The meals served there are exceptional and the staff are friendly and helpful. Brookdale hosts entertainment and keeps clients busy with exercise and games. Since I have family at Brookdale I receive emails from Lisa Ulm who is Executive Director. For example these emails include updates about the pandemic, improvements to community tech and guidance regarding deliveries. Brookdale is a fine solution for seniors who continue to enjoy an active lifestyle.

My mom was hesitant and semi resistant to moving into Brookdale. After a month, she said she was so happy that she could eat her meals with 3 of her friends that she made. She really likes her 2 excercise classes too. She enjoys the seasonal activities with singers, piano players, and sing alongs. All in all it's been a great transition from her condo to Brookdale Glen Ellyn.

I am extremely grateful that this was the community that my grandmother was a part of. The staff was always warm and welcoming. She always enjoyed the food. She was never bored because there were always different activities for her to participate in. I cannot thank the staff enough for taking such good care of my grandmother.

My dad lived here until his passing at age 97. The staff and management team is wonderful. Super caring and compassionate. They were super responsive to his needs and our concerns. Having doctors coming into the community was a big time saver for our family. He had many friends here among the residents and they were really nice. There is a mix of physical and cognitive abilities in both independent and assisted living so no one feels out of place.

Kudos to Brookdale in Glen Ellyn! My mother lived in independent living and later in assisted living there. I found the staff to be outstanding. They were helpful, friendly and compassionate. Due to all the activities scheduled, it was easy for a resident to make new friends. We loved the entertainment provided, especially the holiday programs. Most importantly, the food service was great in a beautiful setting. I would often join my mom for a meal. My mother took advantage of the beauty salon and exercise room on the premises. The location of Brookdale is convenient. In a short walk, you could go to Aldis, Trader Joes, Binnys or have a manicure-pedicure at Nailtek. If you are looking for a perfect place for your parents, this is it!!
