These people know how they take care of the elderly. My father has lived there since april of last year and he loves it. There are so many things to do that nobody should be board. It's not just a business it's a home and the employees are like family.

Brookstone Estates makes you feel like family and I cannot be more grateful. From the first call, to visiting the facility with mom, to my sister receiving a very personalized tour, to ongoing communication with Jean.. The facility is clean, staff are helpful and friendly (from the person who answers the phone all the way to the admin). The apartments shown were gorgeous and roomy with a nice little patio. Everything is updated with nice appliances and I absolutely love all the planned activities. Mom is definitely looking forward to moving back to the area and the ease of working with Brookstone’s staff is making all of this more appealing to our family and to mom. Thank you all so much for what you do!

I have lived at Brookstone for three years and I truly appreciate the help I have received from the girls in the office. They are so sweet and help me with so much, I have a nice little apartment that I love dearly. Living at Brookstone with the extra assistance has helped me to continue to live on my own. Brookstone has became my family.

Effingham Brookstone is the perfect place with the best people to support your parent to live as independently and happy as possible. We feel good about our choice for mom. She loves it and enjoys her life. Beautiful, clean, good food, great activities and the entire staff are so warm and friendly. My mom enjoys bingo, music, parties and so much more. Our entire family wouldn't change a thing . We are very happy we chose Brookstone in Effingham.

Moved my parents in to Brookstone in August. They were suffering physically, emotionally and socially. Jean and the entire staff consistently provide quality care, assistance and are always responsive. Mom and Dad are thriving now.

My grandma has been living at Brookstone for about 10 months. The facility is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. They provide many different opportunities for activities, bus outings, social interactions, on site therapy, entertainment and so much more. It's comforting to know someone is there to help when needed and to check on the residents multiple times a day. They can also assist with monitoring medications and providing transportation to and from doctors appointments.

My Mother in-law has lived there for about 7 months. She absolutely loves it. It is very nice and clean. They do her laundry once a week separate from others cloths. They also clean her apartment once a week. She and the other residents have a necklace they wear that has a button to push if they fall or need help. We never dreamed we could afford such a place however the state of Illinois has an SLP (supportive living program). We applied for this and she qualified. She loves all the activities including bingo, trips on the bus to thrift shopping, Walmart, and other fun things. Brookstone also has a beauty shop there. She absolutely loves going and getting her hair done every week. The cafeteria has three meals a day. However there is a full kitchen if she wants to eat in her apartment. Walmart does deliver groceries for a small fee. Living at Brookstone has given her independence back . She has become quite social and feels she has a purpose, caring about her friends. She is 85 years old. They also have WiFi and cable. They are given a Free cell phone. The foot doctor comes in once a month and will give residents a pedicure. Residents are taken to all of there doctors appointments. My husband and I live out of state and we talk to her on Skype often. We are so blessed to have Brookstone looking out for her. I just recently moved in here and I love it and intend to be here from now on. Everyone is so considerate and kind , Everything is taken care of and we have all the care and privacy we need or want , Everyone is so helpful and pleasant , we are taken to appointments and back to our homes as we need or want to go shopping.I am so thankful and happy to be on my own now , thank you Jesus for our answered prayers .

My Uncle has been a resident of Brookstone for over three years. He really enjoys living in his apartment and all the friendly people he has met. Recently the owners renovated the facility and it is very nice and inviting. Great community living and we are lucky to have Brookstone Assisted living in our area. The staff is so great and the girls in the office have been so helpful and kind. We are grateful for all they do for our uncle.

I am a resident of Brookstone and came here after my wife passed away, it was a difficult time for me but the kind friendly staff takes good care of me, I would recommend this place to everyone! Top notch management staff and everyone is so nice.

I have 2 uncles who reside at Brookstone and they receive the best care, staff is very friendly, always making them smile, and seeing that their needs are met. The building was completely renovated in the spring/early summer and with all the new lighting, carpeting, furniture, and added features they Love their homes.

We were scheduled to do a music program at 6 pm. We called 3 weeks before to confirm. We were told they could not have us as residents would not be around and go to their rooms. If you follow their Facebook you will see that in the past year there has been at least three events or activities 6 pm or later. Evidently it could happen but we were denied that opportunity because of their desires and we are left with no date with travel expenses.

Our mother was a resident for 7 years. We were well pleased with the care she received. Staff was friendly and treated mother with respect and privacy. I will say I noticed a huge turnover with CNA positions. After 7 years her apartment was beginning to show signs of needed improvement mainly with carpet and the outside door leading to the courtyard. I'm sure these needed improvements will be addressed.
