I love the Grand. I wish I could live there. I have a friend who has been there for a few years now. And absolutely, and totally enjoys everything she does there. She is in so many game sessions and activities at the facility. She loves it ! .Financially, I could not sustain it for any length of time, and I would hate to move in and have to leave. I have made many friends in my many visits with Linda and would dearly love to live there myself. I do not think the cost is out of line, I was just not wise enough to plan my future for this type of community.

Amy, Paula, Noel, Carlee, and the entire staff are fantastic. They all make living in independent, assisted, and memory care life the best possible. The food is great, nice menu, and individual dietary needs are met with care and encouragement. I had the pleasure of touring the grand Victorian in Crystal Lake, which offers independent living, assisted, living, and memory care. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the bright, welcoming atmosphere, and the beautiful grand entrance. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly, many residents were enjoying the nice weather out front, which created a vibrant first impression. One of the highlights was the resident-tended garden, a truly special touch. I met a lovely couple out there; the wife was picking fresh zucchini and cucumbers, while her husband looked on. It was heartwarming to see such meaningful engagement. Paula, the director of sales and marketing, was wonderful, kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about the community. I stayed for lunch, and the food and service were excellent. The residence seemed happy and engaged, and the community itself is thoughtfully designed with large rooms, generous closet space, and beautiful views of wooded areas. Landscaping was also lovely The grand Victorian is a warm, vibrant place, and the staff went out of their way to say hello and make me feel at home. A truly impressive and carrying senior living community!

This place and these people are exceptional in every area. The support, speed and detail with which they operated for my family during a very stressful emergency was unparalleled. I found the Grand Victorian in Crystal Lake, Illinois to be a rare gem to find. From the fantastic array of food on the menu to the large entertainment of activities they offer their residence is just a few of the delightful things to enjoy. The caregivers knew each resident by name and charmed me with the extensive knowledge they had of each resident. You definitely have to take a tour for yourself. My dad recent moved here and I am beyond impressed! Very clean, the residents seem genuinely happy and content. A good amount of different activities for all, my dad loves going to the aerobics class every morning! The menu seems to always have something for everyone and I appreciate the coffee when I join him ™ Everyone is very helpful, kind, gentle and just amazing! I have visited the Grand Victorian many times. Members of the community can register and come to monthly holiday themed events (sometimes including a light lunch). Residents also are at these events and seem to really enjoy the entertainment too. Recently I attend a special 5 course Valentine's Day Candlelight Dinner. Each course of food was so delicious and attractively plated. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff there really seem to care about the residents and help those that need extra assistance. They offer I have taken a tour of the place and the rooms are very nice. They offer a variety of units from studio, and one or two bedrooms. They offer independent living, assisted living and memory care There is no high pressure to get you to move there. I like that they even let you have you pets live with you. When the time comes and I feel that would need some extra help, I believe that this is where I would like live.

My sister and brother in law moved here recently and what a wonderful place and experience! Paula helped with so many little and big details and made the transition so smooth! Noel helped answer questions and provide support as well! The Doctor and nursing staff have been wonderful, maintenance has went out of their way to help as well! The rooms are so nice and clean, the dining room and food choices are outstanding as well! The residents are very friendly and inviting and made sure to include my family in the planned activities!

My sister and I recently attended their Candlelight dinner. The food was wonderful. A beautiful presentation and a nice variety of flavors. We have previously attended a few of their other offerings, the musicians, the steel drum performance, and the "spooky" offerings around Halloween. We took a tour of the facilities and found them to be well maintained. Being a dog lover, I found out that they allowed the residents to keep their dogs when they moved in. This is something that I really appreciate since I wouldn't want to leave mine if I moved here. The staff is so pleasant to speak with and seeing the care they take with some residents who need more assistance is heartwarming. Even though I have lived my whole life in Chicago, this would be the place I would go to if the need arises.

My husband and I took his mom to visit The Fountains . I spoke with Paula about a short term stay to see if this was what my mother in law would be interested in . Paula was exceptionally helpfully and gave us a guide of the facility and the rooms you can rent. It’s a beautiful community and the restaurant was exceptional. This is on the top of our list. I visited a friend at The Fountains and was very impressed”a beautiful facility with so many activities available for the residents! I was there during their weekly sing-along, and the residents were encouraging me to join them. I didn’t eat in the dining room, but it looked like an upscale restaurant! I didn’t realize that retirement communities provided such high-quality accommodations. My friend is very happy there.

My brother moved in to independent living at the Fountains in June. Claudia was very helpful and patient in explaining the move in process and picking out a unit. We could not have asked for a better experience. Several weeks have passed and my brother could not speak more highly of the staff. He calls the Fountains "epic"! The facility is beautiful. They are currently going through cosmetic renovations, and from what I have seen from the areas that have been completed, it looks great. My brother has really enjoyed the food and has commented many times on the friendless of the restaurant staff. I am very happy we chose the Fountains for my brother. He is happy and comfortable. I would recommend this facility for your loved ones.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
