Reviews Mercy Circle Senior Living

As a nurse coordinator, I have had many of my clients move to Mercy Circle. I have found it to be a wonderful senior living community that has independent living, assisted living, rehabilitation/skilled nursing care and memory care available. The staff is kind, welcoming and the entire building has a feeling of home. The nurses, therapists, social workers, and entire staff are not only caring but have a high level of competency in their care of the residents which gives families and friends a high level of confidence that their loved ones will be cared for in the best way. The executive director and her staff are very knowledgeable and willing to help their residents have a safe and caring living environment. The staff is very proactive in assessing for changes in condition and functional status and make meeting the needs of their residents a priority. Thank you for your care, expertise, and compassion in taking care of the residents in your care.

We chose MC because of its great ratings for short-term rehab. In a nutshell, it needs a complete audit of its procedures. 1. Residents are left unattended even in dining area. 2. Dispensing of medication (eps. pain meds) is inconsistent. 3. Floor head nurse is extremely unprofessional. 4. Promised care (I.e. showers, attentive toileting response, etc.) isn't actualized. While the upper management and front desk staff are WONDERFUL, unfortunately, that doesn't translate to the actual short-term rehab floor. We chose not to return to MC after a week + stay at Christ after we found our loved one convulsing and unattended in the tv room. He was to be in a 'public place' after they found him a week prior on the ground in his room. Btw, I went almost daily. On the off day or two I couldn't go, someone else did.

My mother came here for rehabilitation after a hospital stay. She was very weak and unable to do a lot of things for herself. The staff there was so caring and accommodating and really worked with her to try and get her better. I live 4 hours away and I felt very comfortable leaving her there. They took wonderful care of her and I would recommend it to anyone. While I only experienced the rehab side of it, the assisted living areas looked even better. So I'm sure that's just as good.
