The Barton staff was wonderful. They treated my mom with the upmost love and respect as if she was their own mom. Because they are small, everyone knew her and it felt like family. I felt good knowing that she was there under the watchful eyes of the staff. The residents were also very protective and helpful with my mom, always assisting and guiding her with love. When we moved to a nursing home, it was as if we were leaving our family and we truly miss them.

I have lived here for 3 1/2 years. I love it here! For instance, the front office is committed. For example, during the pandemic the director Gretchen and the social worker Kristen went shopping for our needs to make the quarantine more bearable. Quite a bit of work! We then also had fun Friday with special treats delivered to our apartments. Rita the financial officer goes beyond the call of duty to iron out our insurance problems, etc..

I have recently joined this team and feel so impressed with the family atmosphere! All staff know tenants by name and smiles are mutually shared everyday. What a joy to see and an honor to be affiliated.

I really liked Barton Senior Residences of Chicago. It's brand new, they have a lot of activities for seniors, and they have a doctor and nurses that check on the residents daily, which right now is something I need. My only issue is the price of the rent, which is astronomical. Everything in each apartment is brand new. They showed me a model suite, which has a living space, a kitchen on one side, and a nice bathroom. They serve the tenants breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, they take about 90% of whatever your income is and you get $90 back. They have activities like field trips and things of that nature. The food looked good, was appetizing, and pleasant. They have a barber shop, a beauty salon, an office full of nurses, and a big community room with a big TV with cable that you can watch. You can get cable and WiFi in your own apartment, but that's extra.
