Sunrise of Barrington has been instrumental in every way in helping us with the transition of our dad to assisted living. After enduring the passing of our mom and then, a tremendously difficult path of personal loss, it has been beyond comforting to know our dad is in excellent hands. The Sunrise facilities and services are wonderful. Of course, our peace of mind would not be possible without the unwavering efforts and compassionate care (both of our dad and us) that is provided by the wonderful human beings of the Sunrise of Barrington staff in all areas. The staff is values team work and it shows. Thank you, Sunrise of Barrington, for being a part of our family. Kayla and the staff of Sunrise were beyond supportive and absolutely instrumental in helping us to transition our dad. The staff is upbeat and positive. The facilties are wonderful and welcoming. The size of the Sunrise makes it perfect for a "homey" feel and for us, location and the amenities/programs, as well as the knowledge that our dad is in good hands under wonderful 24-7 care, makes all the difference in the world.

I cannot say enough great things about the facility and staff at Sunrise. When my mom started her hospice journey this past spring, I soon realized she would need more care and assistance than I could give her. The staff at Sunrise did not let me down. They are very compassionate and professional and they always made my entire family feel welcome. It was such a blessing and comfort to know my mom received such outstanding care from a staff that went "above and beyond" to make her hospice journey a peaceful one. I'm truly grateful for all their care and support.

I cannot say enough good, about the experience we had with the people at Sunrise of Barrington! We had to move mom from a semi-independant living facility to one which offered her the assistance she now required. This sounds good in theory but mom tended to resist change of that nature. We were concerned with the move, mostly for those reasons. The day of the move came. We (my brother and I) held our breathe. Would mom be OK with it or ? From the moment we entered the grounds and building, mom was enamored. She commented on how beautiful it was! We had a feeling of instant "Home" when there! This was just the beginning. Once we got to know and interact with "Team Sunrise of Barrington " we knew we'd made an excellent choice! What a relief ! From the administrators to the care givers, to all ....That team embraced her and her needs from the word "Go"! Their demeanor and actions were that of professionalism and compassion. They all bonded with mom, my brother and I, immediately. When we interacted with them, I felt like we'd known them for years ! Like I said... It felt like "Home" immediately! Our experience with Sunrise has exceeded my expectations. My mom moved there in February after a serious fall and a month of rehab. Everyone made the transition seamless, in particular Ben and Lynette. When I arrived she was already seated in the dining room making friends. She just celebrated her 100th birthday and the party we had was just lovely. Monique made sure the event was a true celebration. All of the staff and nurses are caring and respectful. I can not express how wonderful the Sunrise experience has been for our family. We are on our second journey through memory loss of a family member and there is no facility/staff that we would rather be partners with. The facility is lovely and promotes a feeling of having personal space within a "home" environment. The staff is exceptional. They are truly special people who with a smile are willing to help you on a day to day basis navigate the reality of having a loved one with memory loss. The respect and care shown for everyone is felt the minute you walk in the door.

I am not a person that usually leaves reviews, but my experience with Sunrise of Barrington has been so wonderful that I just had to sing their praises. My 88 year old mother has dementia and was in another memory care facility when it became apparent to me that I needed to move her out of there ASAP...while in the middle of the Covid pandemic. To say I was overwhelmed and nervous is an understatement. I checked out many different facilities and when I came upon Mary Seaberg (Director of Sales) at Sunrise of Barrington, I finally felt like I could exhale for the first time. Mary is so kind, patient and extremely informative. She took the time to really educate me which believe me, most facilities do NOT. She stressed to me the importance of communication there which was extremely important to me coming from a facility that had non-existent communication. It was also impressive that Sunrise of Barrington had no positive Covid cases during the time at which my moms current facility was on the news for their Covid outbreak. All things led me to make the decision to move my mom into Sunrise, and she has been thriving ever since! The care managers are wonderful...you can tell they really love the residents. The memory care director Robyn and nurse Jyoti are awesome and are the epitome of communication. I am given regular updates about my mom which is so crucial, especially during these difficult times of the pandemic. They have an AWESOME activities coordinator Janelle who shares through an app all the latest projects, activities, etc. the residents are doing. You can feel the passion Janelle has for her job. It has been so great to see pictures of my mom participating! Rachel the receptionist always greets my calls (and believe me there have been MANY being new to Sunrise) with her warm, friendly and helpful manner. Kudos to Lynette the Executive Director for creating an environment where seniors are truly loved and appreciated and not considered a burden.

I brought my dad here after he had a hard fall and was at Good Shepard hospital. We really had a hard time making the decision to move my dad out of his home, but in the end we knew his safety was more important that the idea of him being home. The care managers were so wonderful and my dad really received excellent care. We are so glad that we chose Sunrise and we can rest at night knowing dad is safe and well cared for.

My mom lived at this facility for 5 years. The care is outstanding. She received exceptional nursing care and memory care. The workers are kind and considerate. The programs are tailored to your families needs. The food and sanitation is top shelf. I live in Ohio and didn't worry about mom. This is a community I want to live at when I am ready to retire.

We were worried when we moved my mother-in-law here from Florida a few years ago since she had lived on her own for so many years. The staff at Sunrise of Barrington couldn't have made her more welcome or taken better care of her. She began participating in activities and engaging with other residents. I can't thank those at Sunrise of Barrington enough for the care, love and attention they gave to Helen.
