I am not a person that usually leaves reviews, but my experience with Sunrise of Barrington has been so wonderful that I just had to sing their praises. My 88 year old mother has dementia and was in another memory care facility when it became apparent to me that I needed to move her out of there ASAP...while in the middle of the Covid pandemic. To say I was overwhelmed and nervous is an understatement. I checked out many different facilities and when I came upon Mary Seaberg (Director of Sales) at Sunrise of Barrington, I finally felt like I could exhale for the first time. Mary is so kind, patient and extremely informative. She took the time to really educate me which believe me, most facilities do NOT. She stressed to me the importance of communication there which was extremely important to me coming from a facility that had non-existent communication. It was also impressive that Sunrise of Barrington had no positive Covid cases during the time at which my moms current facility was on the news for their Covid outbreak. All things led me to make the decision to move my mom into Sunrise, and she has been thriving ever since! The care managers are wonderful...you can tell they really love the residents. The memory care director Robyn and nurse Jyoti are awesome and are the epitome of communication. I am given regular updates about my mom which is so crucial, especially during these difficult times of the pandemic. They have an AWESOME activities coordinator Janelle who shares through an app all the latest projects, activities, etc. the residents are doing. You can feel the passion Janelle has for her job. It has been so great to see pictures of my mom participating! Rachel the receptionist always greets my calls (and believe me there have been MANY being new to Sunrise) with her warm, friendly and helpful manner. Kudos to Lynette the Executive Director for creating an environment where seniors are truly loved and appreciated and not considered a burden.

The folks at Sunrise Barrington genuinely care about the loved ones in their charge. My mom has been well-treated. The staff are friendly and willing to listen to any concerns and observations. I strongly suggest you look into Sunrise Barrington as you consider best placement for your family member. Jim

My mom lived here for about 5 years. The care managers are really the best. I am so thankful that Sunrise was my mom's home because I know that she was always well cared for and loved.

I brought my dad here after he had a hard fall and was at Good Shepard hospital. We really had a hard time making the decision to move my dad out of his home, but in the end we knew his safety was more important that the idea of him being home. The care managers were so wonderful and my dad really received excellent care. We are so glad that we chose Sunrise and we can rest at night knowing dad is safe and well cared for.

My mom lived at this facility for 5 years. The care is outstanding. She received exceptional nursing care and memory care. The workers are kind and considerate. The programs are tailored to your families needs. The food and sanitation is top shelf. I live in Ohio and didn't worry about mom. This is a community I want to live at when I am ready to retire.

We were worried when we moved my mother-in-law here from Florida a few years ago since she had lived on her own for so many years. The staff at Sunrise of Barrington couldn't have made her more welcome or taken better care of her. She began participating in activities and engaging with other residents. I can't thank those at Sunrise of Barrington enough for the care, love and attention they gave to Helen.
