My mother is new to this senior community. The staff are warm, welcoming and professional. Mom is settling in nicely. I feel my mom is very well cared for and that she enjoys the activities provided to the residents. Avista is clean but doesn't feel like a care facility. It is a HOME for my mom.

I’ve been coming to Avista Nampa and visiting residents for over the last 4 years. This is a wonderful place providing great care and the residents are happy and always active. The community is much more comfortable and home-like than most that I visit. I definitely recommend Avista Nampa for a loved-one requiring assistance.

Avista Nampa Assisted Living offers top notch, quality care in assisted living. I’ve spent years as a community liaison in the health care community. I am in and out of many Assisted Living Communities. I recommend this community to families all of the time. The people, the food, activities and the culture all make it a fun place to live and visit. When I visit, the residents always look very happy, they participate in the many different activities. When our clinicians do their visits with the residents they always say how thoughtful and caring the nurse and care staff are. The administrator sets the tone to this very loving environment. If you are considering an assisted living for yourself or a loved one, I recommend visiting Avista Nampa!

I generally enjoy Avista Senior Living Nampa, though there have been some minor issues. Though they seem to be working through some of them. With the recent changes in administration, from the Executive Director to the Director of Nursing and Business Manager, I've noticed that staff members aren't assisting the Activities Director or Cook during large events. Previously, under the old Executive Director, all the staff pitched in to serve food and drinks to residents and their families, as well as help with clean-up. The new management needs to do the same! Please stop relying on visitors to help serve food, drinks, and clean-up, as it's the responsibility of all staff to contribute and ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.

Mix of great staff and not great administrator. He assured my family that his home could handle Mom, an Alzheimer's patient. They couldn't, and made me move in and live in her room 24/7 for a week to do it for him, then we moved her out. The Staff was experienced and nice, especially Glenda. For anyone who is either bed-bound or mobile and of sound mind, it would work extremely well as a clean, pleasant environment with great nurses and aids, rec opportunities, a well kept central green space, and seasoned, good food. But it's not what I'll remember.

From the top down, the staff at Avista Nampa is exceptional. The Administrator Cristina was wonderful in making sure we were comfortable with the transition to the facility and that all our loved one’s needs were met. Her attentiveness carries down to every staff member we have encountered. It has been a month and we are so glad we chose this facility. All of the staff have been MORE than helpful and so kind and caring. The housekeeper Glenda is amazing, the room is kept up and she checks in as she is going to another task. You can see that she takes pride in her job and enjoys keeping the residents happy and clean. Keith and Augie were invaluable with their help in getting things moving and settled. All the Resident Assistants are kind and attentive, front desk Nicole and Catina are always there to help. Jodie the Activity Director really gives her all and has the patience of Job with the residents. This is a top notch place that is well run by the guidance and example of the Administrator Cristina who shows she cares by checking in occasionally. Our family member has lived in assisted living for 13 years so we are talking from experience and we certainly made the right choice in this Facility. Five stars seems inadequate.

ake a contract and the nurse is the laziest Jackalope ever she's as worthless as tits on a boar and of course there's [name removed] who is a worthless lying piece of dog dung. Some staff is great some couldn't care less or bother to show up some just don't come because they're in jail and now I just happened to see that holy cow they're having a sale because they're being foreclosed upon and there's a sign that says December 11th you can go and you can buy the property I wonder who has not been paying the mortgage and considering median price beginning price is $5,000 a month for level 1 care somebody's got a Cayman Island account somewhere

As an outside agency nurse coming into the facility to care for my patients on hospice, it is so nice to work with staff that show so much love and care for their residents. They are always there when I need them and I appreciate them all. They treat the residents as family and truly care for them. There is a variety of activities and events to try and suit everyone's taste. I can't say enough good things about everyone there.

My 82 year old father moved into Avista after a horrible experience with a large assisted living facility in Caldwell. The staff have been so awesome, caring, empathetic to his needs and have such a passion for elderly people. He's been so happy since we moved him to Avista. Stacy the Nurse and Geo one of his med techs are the kindest staff. We are also so grateful for Sandy in community relations who helped answered all our questions. They take residents on fun outing adventures!

The following words are from my mother and father who do not have active google accounts. My mother's sister came to a point in life where she required assisted living. Hi. My name is Joseph Hayes. I am 77 years old and my wife is 76. We have never written a negative review in our lives. This, however, is necessary to get out in order to lighten our hearts. I know that this is about a relatively humble amount of money, however, we have been treated incredibly unfairly. Heron place has billed us for medical treatment for multiple days after the passing of our loved one. In fact, this is one of the final items we need to settle before we can close our sister's estate and move to the final stages of grieving. It has been drawn out for months and months. I have pleaded our case with Jennifer, who is the general manager of Heron place, and Carmella, who is the account manager at Heron place. Carmella, specifically, told me that I would receive payment for 3 days of room usage as well as 3 days of medical care we were charged for even though our sister had passed. Jennifer said we would get everything Carmella promised. Later, Jennifer made it clear that we would not be compensated for the room usage as our sister's belongings were still there. That seemed fair and correct - we agreed. For the remainder of the promised fees, Jennifer put us off time and again - for four months. I suppose she figured she would just wear us down. That is an absolutely terrible way to treat grieving family members who trusted this institution and has caused quite a bit of pain and suffering, especially for my wife who is still trying to get over the death of her sister. Again, in the grand scheme of things, we are not talking about a tremendous sum of money. I'm sick and tired of watching my wife have sleepless nights. Generally, the care given and staff are quite good. It is the management and financial officers that have been the cause of great consternation. The last time I spoke with Jennifer was 4 weeks ago, today. In that conversation, once again nothing was promised by her. I told her that in two weeks I would be compelled to leave a negative review. Her response was: "Joe, are you threatening me?" I told her no, I was just stating that seemed to be my last option. I even waited two extra weeks to write this. I will update this review if any restitution is made. In light of all of this, I cannot recommend placing your loved ones under their care. EDIT: This place is indeed under new management, who has reached out to us and made good on the financial aspects. Given that we were happy with the care and staff, and the new management understands how to treat people, I have now changed our review to 5 stars.

It is so wonderful to see a staff that genuinely cares about employees and their community. They have the biggest hearts and love all their people. They engage all their residents with fantastic activities daily. It is a joy to see what new things they continue to implement make this a comfortable place for all that enter.

Heron Place was a direct answer to our prayers. It was the first place we visited and took my sister to look it over. She was bewildered, but enthusiastic when it was time for the move. Thank you, Lord. You went before us and we KNEW it was the right place for her. She's had a lot of happiness return to her life, and for that I am very grateful.
